Looks good Gallo. I forgot that wineskins aren't in the normal items. They will have to be added manually through the character sheet. Manage equipment - Custom item - Add custom item. In terms of weight, yes, it's the same as water. 5lb. Yes, to starting equipment. If there are any other non-magical items anyone wants, now it the time to speak up.
Tents can be obtained. The standard tents are 2 person so having two of them is most logical if you want them.
Faleon crams everything into his backpack, and goes to hoist it onto his shoulders to try it out. Except the backpack doesn't budge. Not even a little. "Er...there's no way I'm going to be able to carry all this stuff! Does anyone else want to take any of it before I just leave it behind?"
Faleon approaches Blobbin, "Um, I know you say you don't know the terrain ahead of us very well, but it must be passable for a pony? How about the town spares us a pony or mule of some kind, to help us carry all of this? Also, we'll need one to tie the leads of the puppies to for the return journey, then we can just lead the pony back and the puppies will follow."
(I'm already assuming the answer is "no" - or at least, "not yet" - because otherwise we'd have side-stepped the entire issue! But Faleon has to ask, right? It'd just add something else we'd have to find provisions for, too!)
"I'm afraid that's not possible Faleon. There is a rather large cliff between us and Wayport that drops off the edge of the mountains. That's why you've been given the climbing gear. Although there won't be much climbing going in this direction. More lowering yourselves down the cliff. As to how you would get the puppies back going up the cliff I can't say I have a solution for that. Perhaps you can find something in Wayport that could help."
Bree is ready. Had to remove a few items, so I hope someone else has a crowbar, had to remove it from her pack as it was just too much. Also ditched the hammer and pitons, but have the climber's kit so I think some of those are in there as well.
"Gimme the gear you cannot carry ya scrawny little piglet" Oscar would say to Faleon as he slaps him on the shoulder. "I always said ya needed to eat hardier meals but ya never listen to me" The halfling would add as he drops his lack next to Faleons witha loud thump. "Load it with whatever you dont wanna haul... I suppose I can probably handle up to about sixty pounds more before I start to break a sweat" The halfling would say with a smile.
(Bree took Faleon's crossbow and bolts so (I think) what's left of original weapons is a short bow and 2 daggers. In terms of starting equipment that was dumped I don't think anything would prove useful or isn't duplicated in the climbing kit except maybe the crowbar and manacles. You can add them if you wish or leave them. It's up to you)
With all the supplies worked out and instructions left behind by everyone on how to take care of any of their chores or other obligations in The Dale the party is seen off by many. Most wishing you well and patting your backs, some scowling at the oddity of anyone leaving the Dale and the increased burden it puts on the town. Some of the children follow you to the last big hill and then watch you continue over it. The first Halflings to ever leave The Dale. Except for Faleon's parents who went missing, but you were all very young when that happened and it's barely remembered.
Your first several hours of traveling is filled with mixed emotions. Anxiety, excitement, pride and fear. As you travel over the rolling hills towards Rolling Rock Pass the mountains grow larger and larger dominating the sky ahead. You start to realize just how immense they truly are and how big the world around you really is. With the hills growing in size the closer you get to the mountains it often takes an hour or more of walking up them before you reach the top and see the next one stretched out before you. Cresting one of the hills you spook a herd of elk on the other side and they dash off into the protection of the trees. Off in the distance you can see tiny white specks of rams who appear to be on sheer cliff faces hoping about like they were on flat land.
By late afternoon you are starting to get into low mountains covered by sparse forest. You realize that at your current rate of travel you won't get to the pass until tomorrow night at the soonest.
Having been fairly upbeat before the group left the Dale, anyone paying attention might have noted that Faleon has been walking at the back of the group and not said a word since. Not dropping behind the group so much as to draw attention to his change in demeanour, but certainly not his usual eager self.
Bree is skipping ahead at the front of the group, more than ready and excited at this new adventure. She would be whistling to herself and enjoying being out on a grand journey. When it becomes clear they have a lot further to go, and it is nearing nightfall, she would slow down and return to the others. "So, we need to probably make camp..." She says with a glance around. "What do you think, hilltop or ravine?"
"Hilltop sounds good to me too!" Oscar would say as he wipes the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. Looking back over his shoulder, The armored halfling would stop and wait for Faleon before slapping him hard on the shoulder. "What's the problem.. you look sadder than a slug in a salt bath. Is yer pack still too heavy?" He would ask with a smile.
Oscar, since you have the highest survival give me a survival check with advantage (someone can help you) to see what kind of spot you can find to camp for the night.
Faleon starts as Oscar slaps his shoulder, wakened from his thoughts. He looks Oscar in the eye for a moment and sighs, a deep, soulful sigh. After a moment's consideration, Faleon concludes that snapping out of it is easier than taking about it, so he gives Oscar a weak smile, offers the group an equally weak apology, and picks up his step.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: sorry for lack of posting.. setting up easter egg hunts for grandparents to watch through windows is rough
Oscar would frown a bit at his companions reply but would shrug and let it be. As they plan to rest for the night, The armored halfling would take hold of a silver medallion hanging from his neck and grumble quietly... "Come on great mother, dont let me down." As he asks for guidance to aid on finding a nice spot to settle down..
(No worries. I did a socially distant egg hunt at the farm for my son and niece and nephew yesterday. I get it :)
You find an OK place to camp. It gives you a pretty good view of your surroundings but it's blocked in a couple spots from trees and bushes. It's the best you're able to find in the area. Everyone is weary from the longest day of travel any of you have ever done. You spend about an hour getting the camp prepared. Unpacking and setting up the tents, having some food, etc.
Is there anything specific anyone would like to do at camp tonight?
"So, I forgot, but who can blame me really, with getting packed up, and having to talk to everyone in town." Bree says as she settles down, still keyed up, even though she was foot sore. "So, what do you think?" She asks, looking to the group. as they all stare back at her blankly she smacks herself on the forehead. "Sorry, forgot to actually ask..." She says with a rueful grin. "I forgot to ask you all how many puppies you wanted." She explains. "I mean I want at least two, maybe three, but will do four if it is a hard choice." She nods to the others. "I imagine you all want at least one, but wanted to make sure you see, I want to make sure we get enough, and I am betting they have pens and pens of them, so it will be so exciting to get to pick out the puppies... I want one of them to be black with a white streak down it's face, and another I want to be..." She gives a huge yawn. "But, I first need to know what you guys want as well... So do you want 2 each, or more?" She looks at each of the group expectantly.
Gallo:
Are wineskins just different waterskins in terms of encumbrance?
Do we need at least one tent for the group?
At the moment Gallo is at 141/195 carrying capacity.

Gallo now also has 2 wineskins and 2 tents, bringing his encumbrance to 191/195.
If we could procure couple hundred feet of silk rope then that would be helpful. Gallo right now only has 50 feet of hempen rope.
Faleon crams everything into his backpack, and goes to hoist it onto his shoulders to try it out. Except the backpack doesn't budge. Not even a little. "Er...there's no way I'm going to be able to carry all this stuff! Does anyone else want to take any of it before I just leave it behind?"
