"Wish?" Melody asks, looking at the lamp, "ah I see. What else have you wished for?"

He doesn't answer, as he's too busy rubbing the lamp, which is entirely too small for him now. Nevertheless, a Djinni appears in a puff of smoke, looking very bored. It rolls its eyes and sighs as it sees who summoned it. what now it mutters under its breath, before saying in a loud, official voice: Yes master, what may I do for you?

"Stronger! Gribble wish he bigger and stronger!!!" the goblin says excitedly.

Once again, the djinni sighs. Whatever. It disappears again, and the goblin starts growing, his head now over the tops of the buildings. He looks fondly at Melody. "You was right!"

"Hmm... do you mind if I see that?" Melody asks

Mal’thrae looks shocked. My taxes are supposed to go to the city’s defense - so where the hell is the griffon calvary when you need ‘’em? 

He gets an idea, inspired by a tale a bard told him once. If Melody’s negotiations don’t work, he motions for the others to distract it. As he’s still unseen, he grabs some rope from his pack and sneaks around behind the goblin, tying the rope to something secure, then starts to circle around the goblin, binding its legs with the rope.

Valen leans a shoulder against a wall, not overly concerned about the titanic goblin with the lamp.  He rests his glaive in one hand, glancing over his shoulder from time to time to make sure no one is sneaking up behind him. 

Rayner: “Whoa! That’s a big gobby!” Stunned by this, he waits  for what the group wants to do, but he wishes he had a griffin right now...

After Mal’thrae cue, he will goes next to Melody and shout to the goblin: “ Hand over the lamp to the pretty lady! She knows what to make more wishes out of it!”

Auric:

Watching the exchange between Melody and and house-sized goblin, Auric sits in the saddle, lance at the ready.  "I hope the negotiations go well, I have no idea if this lance will even hurt something that big," thinks the dragonborn warrior.

Assuming Melody’s plan doesn’t work and Mal’thrae somehow manages to wrap as much of the goblin’s legs with the 50 ft rope as possible, he’ll yell for Urukar (and the others, but especially Urukar) to take him down, knowing that he’ll trip.

(Whoa can we at least wait till something happens that indicates Melody's plan isnt going to work?")

Mal'thrae is successful in getting the legs tangled up, and Gribble is none the wiser.

Gribble looks back and forth between Melody and the lamp a few times, then shrugs and hands her the lamp. "It Gribble's shiny though. Smoke man make him strong."

Mal'thrae cracks a smile and waits for Melody's next move. From behind the goblin, he points to the lamp, then to the goblin, then points downward.

Melody smiles, and looks at the lamp, "Smoke man huh?" she asks, inspecting the lamp. "Hello there, anyone home?"

"Pretty sure you have to rub it."  Valen says from where he stands leaning against the building nearby.  a figure moves behind him and he whirls, glaive raised, but it is only an apron-wearing woman with a bundle of laundry.  Regardless Valen watches her closely until she moves on.

Urukar ignores the lamp, and is now pacing back and forth, waiting to do glorious battle with the giant goblin should things go south.

Melody taps the side of her head, "Smart thinking," she says to Valen. She follows his advice

Rayner: " Are we sure we want to rub that? I for one do not want to get bigger than I am now." He smiles with a bit of snark.

Melody looks over to Rayner, looks him up and down briefly and giggles, "Are you sure, I know something a lot of men wouldn't say no to being a little bit bigger." Before looking back to the lamp to see what happens after she rubbed it.

Out pops the genie again, this time cursing under his breath. He sighs, then brightens when he sees who summoned him. Ah! I see you've wrested control of my lamp away from that dull-witted oaf. Stratos is my name, of the Noble Djinn. He bows to you.
