(Yep - 1, 2, 3, 4, across the bridge, do the loop, check out the brewery and barrels of ale, look at the compass room, then the bug room, then the big toilet room to the north, finally the room to the east of it.)

"Sounds like a good place to hide. We should check it out - just to be sure..."Lanarial says. He checks around the door, the frame, the ground. If this was really the gnome treasury, it was likely trapped. Investigation: 13 If he doesn't find any traps, he will pull out his set of lockpicks and work on the locking mechanism... Thieves' Tools: 8
If all of this is successful, he gets the rest of the group and opens the door...
It is definitely an untrapped door, but with a 9 you're unable to open it.
"Hey, what the diddily!!" a gnome passing by screams, startling you all. "That's our treasure room, you hooligans! Can't you read?! It's off limits until you find and murder whatever is killing our people! Go on, get!!"
"Are you sure the creature isn't hiding in there? Come- open the door so we can make sure it is safe. You can even watch us to make sure we don't take anything..." he calls out over his shoulder, trying to block the fact that he is pulling the lockpicks out of the keyhole!!
"HHHHHH!" the gnome puffs, exasperated, literally deflating in front of your very eyes. "Ok, fine, just one second. I need to get the key. This is cutting in on my lunch break, i'll have you know. Don't do anything amoral, now! It's a sure way to get kicked out of here!" As he slugs off, he keeps talking about how this is a huge inconvenience you're causing until you can't hear him anymore.
He comes back a few minutes later, still outraged on how this is cutting into his lunch break, and opens the door. It is indeed a decent treasure collection storage area. "See?! We keep this door locked, nothing could get inside. Dont try any funny stuff, you nosy tall ones! Can we go now??"

The rogue quickly scans the room, his trained eye quickly noting the most valuable, the most unique, and the most out-of-place items in the treasure room...
"OK - no tentacle monster here. This room is safe - you can lock it back up. Is there anything you can tell us about the creature before we continue our search for it?"
"Uh, yeah!" the gnome says sarcastically, as if it was such a silly question. "It's already eaten two of us. Any of us could be next! I'm outta here." the gnome locks the treasure room, and heads off to finish his break.
This area appears to be a workshop. The workshop is cluttered with half-completed gnomish inventions that serve no purpose, as well as worktables strewn with tinker’s tools. A 10-foot-high ledge overlooks the room, set with a wooden pedestal on which sits a leather-bound book. It is strangely quiet in this room.

Tex turns to Lanarial "Could you climb up to that pedestal? that book looks very interesting." Turning to look around the room, Tex sets about searching the room for signs of non gnomish creatures INVESTIGATION 7

The book on the pedestal is a spellbook. Its cover describes its title as Magick of Gnomengarde (in Common and Gnomish), and it contains the wizard spells burning hands, detect magic, identify, mage armor, magic missile, shield, and sleep.
You can hear something hurried shuffling from around the corner, coming from the southern room with the windmilly thingies.

Area one is unaccessable due to the door being locked. There's a sign on the door that says. "TREASURY. KEEP OOT. ESPECIALLY YOU, FIBBLESTIB!"

Vi scans the treasure room herself with a careful eye, blade out and ready to ignite or frost over at a moment's notice.

All you can tell is that it's a book. Looks like a spellbook. Or so you think.
"Ooh, I can do that!" Iri says excitedly and attempts to climb up to the book 1 +2 for acrobatics -1 for athletics

(You have visited the rooms with an X. The underlined X is where you are now.) You look down the hallway..but nothing is there. What the heck?
