Zoya leaves to go alone to a temple if she finds one lights a handful of candles there. If there is any difference between the candles, she will look for the most beautiful one there, place it in the centre of the others and stare at it for a while. She takes one more without lighting it, leaves a goldpiece by the temple and begins to ask around on the street if someone would require a violin player for the day.
Cinta, you spend your whole day enjoying relaxation in the garden. At some point, you begin singing Xhorhasian songs and try to teach Zoya some of them. You get a few weird looks from Taryon’s staff, but they don’t say anything. You speak to the animals. Some of them show a basic understanding of what you’re saying, and the birds all stay in places from which they can keep an eye on you.
Zoya, one of Cinta’s songs sounds very familiar to you. You play a tune on the violin and it’s then that you realize Elarial had once played it to comfort you when you first met. A feeling of nostalgia washes over you; you begin crying during this, but you’re unable to decide whether it’s because of sadness or joy. In the evening, you eventually go out into Deastok to join the mourning of Barren Eve.
Arrin, you surprisingly don’t do much today. You help out around the estate with some things, and as a sign of gratitude, one of the maids provides you with two candles in the evening. You speak out, hoping that somehow, somewhere, your parents can hear you, but in the pit of your stomach, you feel like they do not. When you finish speaking and prepare to blow out the candles for the night, you watch them get snuffed out on their own, and you remember the way your mother used to tuck you in and say “Good night.”
Orin, you spend your day reading through more of Taryon Darrington’s old stories, looking for more information about your parents, but there just doesn’t seem to be anything besides an occasional mention. As the sun sets, you decline any candles offered to you.
Leon, you’re granted permission by Taryon to look through his books for entertainment. You come across one well-kept book. You pull it by the spine from the shelf and read the cover, which appears to have been vandalized: In a Dragon: The Legend of an Old Man Named Scanlan. There are a lot of scribbles covering certain letters and words, and the vandal appears to have written his or her own additions to the title. On the inside of the front cover, you read “A gift from a friend of friends” in a style that does not match what you have seen on Taryon’s desk. You spend your day reading through this eloquently written book, and by the end you make no sense of it. It’s like pretty gibberish.
As the sun sets and the moons rise, Taryon invites you all to the garden in the center of his estate to join him in the mourning period of those who have fallen in battle. You watch the two moons sparkle in the dark shroud of night.
At one point, Taryon calls you over, separate from his staff, to talk to you. He introduces a man to you all. The man has dark brown skin, and you can see various tattoos that curl up his arms and the sides of his neck. His hairstyle somewhat resembles the mane of a lion, and there is one visible scar on his throat that stretches from one side to the other. Taryon claps his hands and says to you all, “This is Korshad Dumon. He is a...” you notice a slight hesitation, “..businessman that works out of Deastok. He owns the platinum mine east of the town. He has come to seek help from me, and I mentioned you five. I suppose I’ll leave the rest of the talking to him, but I just want to say this first. I would not have disturbed your day off if this were not important.”

Only just saw this post since it didn’t update when I posted above.
Zoya performance with advantage: 16
Zoya earns a total of 1 gold coins and 12 silver pieces for her performances around town.
Back to here and now, you are talking to a businessman named Korshad Dumon in the Darringtons’ garden. What do you all do?
Arrin seems more impressed with this individual than his last employer, "Nice tattoos." He says as a greeting before asking, "What do you need help with?"
He looks over you bunch, quickly doing a visual assessment. “I own the platinum mines east of town, as Mr. Darrington had said. The mines are going through an infestation. There are a lot of webs deep inside, so I’m inclined to believe its some kind of giant spiders. I’ve lost a few men already; they went too far and never came back. If the platinum can’t be mined, I lose money. That makes it a top concern. It also affects the economy here, so the starosta also has a stake in this.” He snaps his fingers. “You’re not lost, are you?”
" Looks like you'll get to hit something Arrin...unless we can convince the spiders to move on....difficult though...bug brains aren't quite the same as ours."
Arrin cracks his neck, "Finally. I've been needing to hit something for days." He then looks at the man and asks, "If we find your mens bodies do you want them back?"
“Yes, I would prefer that they have proper funerals. You can do whatever you wish to the spiders just make sure to bring back a few legs as proof that you did as asked. Like I said, the starosta and I both have a stake in the matter. If you succeed, I will pay you from my own pocket. Mr. Darrington will give you your earnings on behalf of the starosta and the town.”
You watch as he bows and takes his leave. Taryon rushes back right away. “You five will go at first light tomorrow. I believe it will take about a day to get there, so I will have supplies and rations prepared for you to pick up and leave. Mister Storm, I know you have your room at the Shady Bough, but I insist you stay here with everyone else. You should all retire soon; tomorrow will be a tiring day.”
"Works for me." Leon says with a shrug. "Best make sure we have a good amount of torches, or something to light the tunnels, as I don't see too good in the dark." With that he moves off to find the room he is suppose to stay in that night.
Arrin cracks his neck, "Finally. I've been needing to hit something for days." He then looks at the man and asks, "If we find your mens bodies do you want them back?"
Before retiring, Cinta approached Arrin with still a little trepidation, " You are looking pretty tense...did you want a foot rub? Or I could walk on your back?"
Assuming everyone has said their piece, let’s continue.
You all retire for the night, going to sleep on a nice, comfortable bed. For some of you, this may be the comfiest non-cot non-ground surface you’ve every slept on. You all receive another long rest and another chance to prepare spells if your class allows it.
You wake up the following morning and go through a quick morning routine before heading out. Near the front door, you find your gear and weapons all cleaned and set for you to leave. You find 5 bags of rations waiting for you, as well as one medium-size rolled up parchment.
And Orin?
Orin wouldn‘t light a single candle today, but if possible he would like to read more of Of Taryons old storries.

"I have no trouble cutting my day off short." Leon says, moving over and nodding to the lion-haired man. "What can I do for you?"
Arrin seems more impressed with this individual than his last employer, "Nice tattoos." He says as a greeting before asking, "What do you need help with?"
Cinta looks the man over with a slight grin, he looks almost like a southern Xhorhasian....though he probably wouldn't appreciate the comparison.
She nods along with the others questions.

" Mines. Webs. Spiders. Men missing."

I‘ll check it out.
Leon will look over his companions shoulder as they look at the parchment.
Cinta is feeling positively pampered after the bed rest and collects up her gear and rations with a broad smile.
When you unroll the parchment, you find a map that shows you the way to the mines.
Let me know when you are all ready to leave.
ready to go.
