(Sorry, I'll put the marching order together today and post more for heading down the path. I haven't been able to post much this morning.)
With some help Bogue is able to find 3 more traps along the path. Since you're not on any time limit at the moment no one has to do rolls to disarm them. You can so around them or spring them safely and recover 4 darts if you wish. The last one has a sticky substance on it. Likely a poison.
The rest of the walk down the path goes smoothly without further traps or anything that seems off. After about 40 minutes you're close to the mountains and you can see up ahead that a couple trees have been cut down making an area of brighter sunshine through the forest. You can see what looks like 2 tents on the edge of the clearing and while you watch a figure in a brown cloak passes into view briefly, headed in the direction of the tents.
While you are both watching another person sits down on one of the tree stumps and starts skinning a small animal. They have their back to you and don't appear to be armed. It sounds as if their singing. You can no longer see the one in the brown cloak. He left your view before you were able to make out any weapons or anything else of use. In terms of your surroundings there isn't anything that jumps out at you. The forest is not as dense as what you've been walking through. Getting closer to the mountain it is thinning out with less underbrush growing in the shadow the mountains. There are 2 boulders large enough to provide 1/2 cover within 40' of the clearing. You are currently about 100' away from the clearing.
"I say we split up," Charisma offers in a hushed tone. "Wil and I come round to the right and behind that large boulder, the Mystwaen, Edith, and Bogue to the left. Raaskan, you don't look too good for creeping, you also have that magic rope in case things get hairy. Why don't you head into the camp and suss them out? Maybe they are kind folk just wanting to get away from the hub bub pf the city. If they aren't though, the rest of us will be in position to ambush." She looks from face to face anxious to see what the team thinks of her plan. "Or we can just head in weapons blazing," she adds resting her hand on the hilt of her longsword.
"Okay sounds like a plan" Charisma licks her palms and runs them over her cheeks and slicks her hair back. She smiles at her companions and raises her eyebrows. "Her goes nothing"
She calculates her steps, walking lightly, still aware that there may be hidden trip wires encircling the camp.
Once she is close enough to the men to speak without shouting, she addreses them, "Good morning. Looks like a mighty fine breakfast you've caught there."
With 2 of you headed to the right and 2 to the left to get cover behind the boulders Wil and Charisma head into the clearing. Charisma calls out and scares the crap out of the person on the stump. Standing quickly and spinning around you see it's a woman. She eyes you suspiciously and says "There's not enough for you!" Looking around nervously she continues "We don't have anything of value so why don't you just head on off!" As she is speaking the man in the cloak steps out from inside the tent with a bow in his hand. He has an arrow nocked but the bow isn't raised.
(for those of you moving to the sides if you are going to stay by the boulder a stealth roll isn't needed. If you are going to try and get closer quietly then roll stealth)
They don't look to have violent intentions but are clearly nervous and weary of strangers walking into their camp. The man is wearing a leather breastplate under the cloak, but aside from the bow you only see a hunting knife at his hip. The woman has the knife in her hand from skinning and a sling on her belt.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh no worries," Charisma rubs her belly. "We had a mighty fine spread at the Old Tavern before heading into the woods this morning. That halfling girl makes some tasty muffins. We aren't here to do any thieving." She flashes her Brute Squad Badge. " We are here to clear out the thieves. Now you wouldn't happen to be thieves? Would you?" She smiles broadly eyes fixed on the man with the bow.

Bogue chuffs annoyed at the traps. He'll keep an active eye out for them.
Perception 9
Edith breathes a sigh of relief. “That was close.” She goes over to help Charisma and bouge spot any more of them.
(OOC. If I’m helping do I make my own roll or do Charisma and Bouge get advantage?)
(Technically, one of them would get advantage and do another roll, but I'll make the roll just to speed things up) Advantage roll for Bogue: 18

"What do you see Myst?" he says, trying to keep his bulky frame hidden from the view of anyone who might be in the camp.
Edith crouches down next to Mystwaen and helps her look for anything that would be useful to know.

“I like the sound of the first plan, just in case they are good people.” Edith replies.
(I was looking at our stats, Raaskan, Wil, and Edith have a higher stealth. I think Bogue, Charisma or Mystwaen should go talk to them.)
(I'm pretty sure Charisma does have the highest persuasion and intimidation as well)

"You take point.... I'll... Back you up." He pulls out his yew wand and prepares to cast charm person if things start to go south.

Edith heads to the right and stays by the boulder. She peeks around trying to get an idea of what's going on, and what kind of people they are.
