Gwin chuckles at Rawley's final comment. If we all survive this, I'll be drinking enough ale for the both of us. Patting her round dwarf belly she continues with a wink, I didn't obtain my girlish figure by merely drinking water.
To all she says, I'm alright with being last. It'll help me build up my nerve, however, maybe Rixton can leave his special gloves with me in case I need to come in after you.

For some reason Rixton's glee over their plan causes Gwin to feel even more trepidation. I've got a bad feeling about this she says under her breath. Taking the gloves from Rixton she then imbues the others (and herself) with a little Guidance. Tyr-speed us all across.

Rawley, seeking the best possible way to take a grip, grabs hold of Molaspider and readies himself to be ferried up the cavern wall and over the murky water. Thirty seconds later, Rawley stands on the landing at the mouth of the exit tunnel and watches Molaspider crawl away to fetch the others.
As Rixton prepares to take hold of his arachnid transport, the water suddenly surges outward, like a tide grasping at everything near its shore. Molaspider's eight legs ensure that he will remain standing safely on the shore. Gwinmanages to brace herself, finding solid footing among some rocks, but Rixton's feet find only slime. He is swept away rapidly and finds himself in the water he was hoping to avoid. The entity that has been quiet for the past several minutes suddenly has something to communicate to Rixton:
"Ah, you've decided to aid me after all. How kind."
All players may act, in any order. The yellow dots indicate the path taken by Molaspider to and from the exit. No creature is visible in the water or in the cavern.

By the gods! Rixton, here! Gwin shouts. The cleric swiftly *tosses the Gloves of Swimming and Climbing to the rogue. As soon as the gloves leave her hand, the light of Gwin's Sanctuary mirror reflects off of Rixton's forehead as she seeks to protect him from whatever might be in the water.
Rawley drops his stuff on the floor and throws a coil of rope out and slightly past Rixton, keeping a good few feet on his end. "Catch and hold on!" He will find something to brace himself against and be ready to pull.
Mola's fine with trying this out, though with reservations. And he'll keep to the southern edge of the wall/ceiling. If there's a way he can spin a portion of web across the cavern there, perhaps about ten feet above the water, he will do so for a secondary bit of insurance against falling into the water. Stretching from the near side to the far tunnel entrance.
Did this web get spun between the shores prior to transport? Sorry, playing catch-up...
Molaspider doesn't see any entity in the water, right? Even with blindsight and darkvision? It's just as if the pool itself surged forward, nothing pushing it?
And we can see Rixton, I assume. Mola's going to try to shoot Rixton with webbing to try to pull him back in and keep him from sinking. This assumes that the web attack retains a strand back to the spider that can be used to pull back or hold on to (which I'm honestly not sure about a giant spider).

No creature is visible, and, yes, it seems as if the water acted on its own. Rixton is fully visible. Regarding the web rescue, I believe that will work. Once Rixton has a hold of the web, Molaspider can run and pull Rixton ashore at a movement speed equal to that of a giant spider (30').

Moments apart, the magical gloves and the rope splash into the water next to Rixton.

Mola would wait to see if Rixton moves at all on his own after he sees the gloves plop, but assuming the rogue is still in trouble, Mola tries to retrieve him via web.
Ranged weapon attack: 17
(Just so I'm clear, there is also a web platform that exists 10 feet above the water, from near shore to far shore, right?)
As everyone throws all they have at him, Rixtonresponds mentally to the hidden creature.
"Oh, you don't really want my help, stranger," Rixton thinks. "Like most, you probably are not willing to put in your share of the effort to see things through properly."
Rixtonwill grab the gloves, if they are within reach. Then he will attempt to swim to the side of the water where Rawleystands.
(Rixton's turn = grabbing and putting on the gloves (action) + approximately 35' of movement (25' swimming + 10' climbing from the water to the ledge where Rawley stands))
DC 15 Athletics check to make the climb up the slimy surface (gloves give +5 to the check): 21 (+4 from Gwin's guidance, if necessary)
Gwin,Rawley, and Molaspider watch in suspense, wondering what will befall Rixton while he's in the water. Moments later, however, the half-elf, dripping wet, has pulled himself onto the ledge and stands next to Rawley.
Molaspider's action is next. Initiative order is still in effect. NOTE:Guidance is still available to all characters.
(If Mola can go, he’d move to Gwin, almost on top of her to protect her, and ready an attack to anything hostile, or even better, webbing her into a cocoon for easy travel. Preparing to run up the wall with Gwin in tow.)

For a moment, the cavern is eerily silent as all eyes are on the surface of the water. Rixton's darkvision allows him, however, to discern the slightest disturbance; he sees what seems to be the top of an eel-like creature's head, with only one eye visible. Whatever the creature is, it isn't making any noticeable movement.
Gwin and Molaspider see and hear something entirely different, however. Between them and the water, they watch in dismay at as the rocky floor cracks open and an earth elemental takes form before them.
NOTE:Rixtonand Rawleyneither see nor have any knowledge of what Gwinand Molaspider are experiencing. Molaspider's ready action was an attack; so, he may act. Then all players may follow suit.
Rawley sees the direction Rixton is pointing and says, "Nope, I don't have your ability to see in the darkness. I can't even see all of the rope. I was mostly throwing it to you by sound."
He pulls all of the rope back to the ledge and takes up his crossbow.

Rixton nods, handing Gwin the Gloves of Swimming and Climbing. "I love this plan," Rixton says, almost gleeful. "Lets do it!"

Correct.
Is Rixton grappled?
No. Merely floating. Free as a bird.
As everyone throws all they have at him, Rixton responds mentally to the hidden creature.

(And I assume the elemental seems hostile? That was mostly a joke...)
"Do you see that?" Rixton whispers to Rawley as he points into the water.
Louder, he calls across the water. "Mola, Gwin, let's go!"
Rawley sees the direction Rixton is pointing and says, "Nope, I don't have your ability to see in the darkness. I can't even see all of the rope. I was mostly throwing it to you by sound."
He pulls all of the rope back to the ledge and takes up his crossbow.
If Mola can grab Gwin and take off, up the wall and toward the tunnel with Rixton and Rawley, he will do so.
