OOC - The stairs are still there; if you climb back up, you'll end up in the kitchen. Wow, you guys are paranoid ...
OOC - Actually, Mithrokk did have something to eat before heading down here. Sigh. Goliaths live in mountains, right. They're surrounded by stone. Farnakees, make a Perception or Investigation check, your choice.
The spillover of greenish liquid washes over Farnakees feet; there is a hissing sound as it eats through his boots and the skin of his feet - 4 acid damage.
The greenish liquid spreads out and dissolves the barrels and the broken furniture.
OOC - Squares I6, I7, I8,J6, J7,AND J8 are now covered by a pool of acid. Any creature that steps into those squares will take acid damage.
OOC - Since the apparent experts on stonework have their minds elsewhere, I'll allow the Hoo-mans and Dandelion Eaters to roll a Perception or Investigation check, but with disadvantage.
OOC - If Lathalas is still taking the point and passes near or opens the door to the eastern room, make a Perception check before you do so.

OOC: Lathalas had meant to move the crates and barrels in the corridor. I assume that he moved the crates then broke the barrel nearby. That leaves the other barrel (just south of the dwarf) unmoved.
Lathalas moves closer to the door, avoiding the acid.

OOC: So are we curious about the barrels in G9? Or can we proceed to the eastern door?
OOC to DM: Did we see anything from the lighted rat?
OOC - NONE of you notice anything interesting about the stonework. Stone is stone, y'all think...
OOC - The sound of running water is getting louder, but Lathalas can hear squeaking noises from behind the eastern door.
OOC - The lighted rat is for the benefit of the human and goliath, I think. Dwarves and elves with Darkvision can see all the way to the end of the corridor.
OOC - Does Mithrokk want to examine the barrels in G9?
OOC: I think we are dealing with something smarter than rats. Like "The Secret of NIHM" smart.

OOC: Better paranoid than dead. And we have no healer.
OOC: You have better: a pala-don Just like a Myrmidon, armageddon, and katsudon 😊
OOC: busy all morning and afternoon... sorry.
Farnakees tries to avoid the green stuff at his feet: 18
While not the best of multi-taskers, Farnakees attempts to investigates the surrounding stone at the same time 18
OOC: Figures doesn't it?....

OOC: I take it Alianna is a Dandelion Eater?
Investigation: 9
OOC - Yup, elves eat flowers and dwarves eat rocks. Mithrokk has been missing his daily dose, though.
Alianna notices nothing unusual or interesting about the stonework.
Stonesense perception: 7
It appears to be some type of stone...

OOC: wasted a 20
Lathalas dreams about once again having roasted, cracklin' pork for dinner.
Farnakees avoids more damage moving to G11 passing through I9-I10-H11 to get there.
OOC: So are we curious about the barrels in G9? Or can we proceed to the eastern door?
OOC to DM: Did we see anything from the lighted rat?
OOC: Where is Rastaris? I'm updating the map.
Lathalas: J10.
Farnakees: G11
Mithrokk: G8
Alianna: G7
Crate (not acid, yet): G10

OOC: We're interested in the barrel, of course. But maybe somebody else should handle it this time.
Rastaris moves to I12, avoiding the acid pool.
Mithrokk will inspect the barrel
