OOC: The rats that are affected by the Mind Sliver will also get a 1d4 penalty to any saving throw they make before the end of Rastaris' next turn.
OOC: Alianna, this may be a judgement call on your part in choosing what cantrip to use, a To Hit cantrip or a Save Against cantrip. 1d4 isn't a lot but it might be just enough. You could target the rats with a Save Against cantrip and they'll have a penalty (1d4). Its situational really since it is also affected by what sort of save they need to roll against - whether or not they have a high bonus or low. Of course, they could roll really good also.
OOC: As I was writing this I saw you made a post #565. It's something to take into account in the future.
Actually, it would even apply to the Monk's Stunning Strike Ability once Lathalas is able to do it.
Possibly distracted by the human wizard giving a lecture on the principles of spell combat in the middle of a battle, Alianna misses the rats with her Fire Bolt spell ...
OOC - Mithrokk is next, followed by Farnakees and Lathalas. Put the rats out of their misery, guys.

OOC: Thanks, Rast! I'll take advantage of that penalty next time =)

OOC: Hahaha!
OOC - Just doing my part to promote elf-human amicability, hehehe.
Unarmed strike: Attack: 25 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
OOC: Critical!
As the rats swarmed over him, Lathalas stood, screaming, his mind far away and absent, letting his fists perform their impact tricks. Could he hold up a hand, tell his foes he had spent decades learning this trick and others, tell them of the souls and the blood that had blessed them? Not with his mouth. But his hands could speak their own tale. And his hands were full of thunder.
OOC - Sorry for the delay. The page kept loading, but the editor allowing me to post did not. Finally got it after x amount of refreshing the page.

And the sound of thunder receded from his ears, Lathalas saw that none of the rats remained.
The remaining rats, driven mad by pain, attack Farnakees -- huh, my dice roller isn't on my editor? What's happening?
OOC - Shut the door close! Really! I haven't got a single hit on the goliath! And now I roll two critical misses! Ugh.
OOC - Mithrokk and Rastaris will close out the round. These rat swarms suck ...
Rastaris has expended most of his more potent magic.
He concentrates and casts Mind Sliver on the Rats on Farnakees (the ones he targeted with Magic Missile).
Uttering the incantation, he tries to grasp the hive mind of the mischief of rats and short circuit it.
DC 13 Int Save or take Damage 6
OOC - Rats roll a save 4.
Their little brains blow up from the force of Rastaris's thoughts.
OOC - Sorry, Alianna and Mithrokk can still act. Maybe they will close out the round by killing the pathetic rats.
Alianna, still on a high from flambéing the rats, takes a shot at the rats attacking Lathalas.
Attack: 23 Damage: 7

Mithrokk attacks the rats on Lathalas (E4).
Attack:23
Damage: 10
OOC: Protection already used up this round... hehe. I can do it again after my next turn....
OOC - New round starts. Farnakees and Lathalas, you're up. The rats are battered, but still fighting.
OOC - Nope, the rats attack after Farnakees. So you still have your reaction when they attack.
Farnakees attacks the rats on him: Attack: 18 Damage: 7
OOC - Both swarms still survive. Lathalas is next.
OOC: Would we know which swarm was more damaged? The one with less rats?
Lathalas attacks the swarm still on him.
Shortsword: Attack: 18 Damage: 9
Unarmed strike: Attack: 25 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
OOC: Critical!

OOC: Hey Nonny Nonny!!!!!
HUZZAH!!
OOC: if the swarm is killed on the first hit, does the second attack transfer to the other swarm?
