Rastaris looks in the room and looks to Lathalas.
"Have at them." he says as he gestures towards the barrels in an attempt at humor.
"But in all seriousness, be careful".
Rastaris will stay near the doorway.
Lathalas stabs the container
We search the wine storage room.
Alianna checks the cache to look for uncommon or magical weapons then follows into the wine storage room.
Mithrokk will search the cellar for any flagons or cups that can be used for tasting.
OOC: He plans to sample the contents of the 12 casks and TASTE for anything out of the ordinary.
In the guardpost:
The containers bleed ... nothing.
While Lathalas stabs the wooden boxes, Aliana examines the weapons. They are clearly ordinary weapons, with not even a trace of magic in them.
In the wine cellar:
(Only the four southern barrels are tapped.)
Mithrokk finds a flagon on one of the barrels and samples the gnomes' mushroom wine. His dwarven palate proclaims the wine of the best quality.
No wine pours out of the southeast barrel when the spigot is turned, however.
OOC: Are the casks made of very thick wood? Would like to spear each cask but not necessarily break them. If spearing a cask is likely to result in severe breakage, Lath would like a gnome closeby to cast Mending.
“These four are excellent. Surely no creature has defiled such perfection. Perhaps the other eight may hold some secrets.”
OOC: Mithrokk would like to inspect the 8 other casks to see if he can lift the head (lid) to fetch samples for tasting.
Lathalas spears this cask!
So does Mithrokk with his glaive!
OOC: Three are excellent. The SE barrel did not produce any wine.
Rastaris lets the more able bodies members do the spearing and drinking.
He keeps his eyes out for danger.
While Mithrokk goes to open the lids of the other eight casks, Lathalas stabs a hole in the side of the cask. No wine spills out, but looking through the hole, he sees something inside. He can't make it out, though.
Correction: Mithrokk and Lathalas both attack the cask. No wine spills out, but they see something inside. You'll have to lift the lid to find out what it is, though.
OOC: Before the others attack the cask, Alianna moves back toward the NW side of the room.
OOC: I hate to say it, but I hope it's the body of a gnome.
OOC: Perception check? Would hate to climb into the mouth of a mimic.
OOC: Lath killed the gnome??
Alianna asks Rastaris if he can cast light on Mage Hand to illuminate the inside of the barrel.
OOC: I can cast it on an object and Mage Hand can carry it.
OOC: He what now? Wondering if what Lath saw were the remains of a gnome.
OOC: Mithrokk should have a look. He's got the better armor. Lath is soft and squishy.
