You can see that the room is hexagonal in shape. Each of its six walls is about forty-five feet long. There are two exits from the room: the hidden door you came in through, and a large, old wooden door with which it shares the same wall. The two openings are evenly spaced on the wall, the hidden door on the left and the wooden door on the right as you face them. There doesn't appear to be anything else of interest in the room.
"Is it safe?" asks Remacle, looking behind himself, imagining that a zombie might come along at any moment and eager to be behind the hidden door.

Anakis looks back through the open, hidden door, "I think so." She then walks over to the large wooden door and puts a hand on it, looking closely at it, studying it for any details or possible traps (Investigation: 13).
"Alright then, I'm coming in," says Remacle as he moves through the door, and the rest of the halflings follow suit. "There's too many zomblies walking about out there for anyone's good. I don't care how good of zomblie fighters you are!"
There doesn't appear to be anything special about the wooden door, although it is quite water damaged and swollen, and like the rest of the room, very moldy.
Remacle begins to look for a mechanism for closing the hidden door from the inside. "We don't want anything following us inside now, do we?" he says.
Aluzira raises her hand “This may be a silly question, but can this door be opened from the inside once it’s closed?” She’s not entirely sure but Mr. Remacle seems to be in a bit more of a hurry than he had just been.
“Don’t you worry, Miss Aluzira,” says Remacle as he examines the wall on either side of the hidden door with his torchlight. “I wouldn’t shut you up in this horrible place without a way of getting out. There must be a way to close the door and open it from the inside, especially as my ancestors used to hide from the zomblies in here. Now, I’ve just got to find the keyhole.
“Ah! Here it is,” he says, pointing to a small round hole on one side of the door just like the one on the other side. “All we have to do (once everyone is safe inside, of course) is lock the door from this side, and it should be indistinguishable from the wall once again, and when we’re ready to leave, we’ll use the key to re-open it, just like that,” and he snaps his fingers.
(OOC - I deleted my last post cause I didn't see Hriste's. Sorry.)
Nicolas will pat Remacle on the shoulder as he walks into the hexagonal room and hold his magically lit torch close to the moldy door to give Anakis as much light as possible. "Anyone have a good reason why we shouldn't fling this door open and charge ahead?"
"Well, sleep certainly doesn't appear to be doing the ugly rotters any good," says Remacle, chuckling at Ash's joke.
"Seriously, though, I don't see any reason not to proceed. Key-bearer," he says, addressing Anakis, "as soon as everyone's inside I think we ought to get this door locked up tight, and then we can get a move on, unless anyone has an objection. If we don't, pretty soon it'll be time to stop for luncheon."
At the mention of another meal, the halflings prick up their slightly pointed ears at the prospect and begin to murmur that "yes, a bit of luncheon would hit the spot just about now."
Anakis nods, coming back to the conversation after looking over the wooden door. She moves across to the interior keyhole and (if the door has been closed with everyone inside) will lock the door with her bizarre key. She then puts it away, nodding at Mr. Button, before moving back to the wooden door to see if she can open it a crack to peek through.
(DM Question - do I need to roll investigation again from before? I'm also not sure if you have another check you'd like me to do as you said the door is swollen, so I'm guessing it won't be easy to open.)
The section of wall pivots back into place, and once it's locked with the key, is indistinguishable from a normal wall from this side as well.
Don't worry about Investigation. With the additional light that Nicolas has put on the door, you can see clearly that it's nothing more than a regular door, but testing it reveals that it won't be easy to open, but will require a DC 13 Strength check to open in the normal way. A failure on the check would indicate that it's very badly jammed and will require ten minutes to force open.
Aluzira nods in understanding and watches in amazement as the door closes so seamlessly. “That’s amazing...” she says looking at where the door had been. Then laughs to herself “I had forgotten about needing to eat.” She then makes her way to the wooden door and prepares to help open it. “Mr. Remacle?” Aluzira asks curiously, while preparing to help. “Pardon my memory if you’ve already told us, but was it your people who built this city?”

Tarek is certainly intrigued by this display of the ancient halfling magic. Seeing Nicolas shine his light towards the wooden door, Tarek moves to go open it. "So... after we take care of this business the both of us have, might we spend luncheon with you?" he asks Remacle and the rest of the halflings. After a confirmation from the rest of the group, he'll push/pull on the wooden door (Strength check: 13 to open the door). "Where does this door lead to?" he asks.
Anakis steps aside as Tarek and Aluzira attempt to open the door. She feeds Custard some crumbs as she looks on, eyes fixed and unmoving from the door.
"I don't rightly know, miss," Remacle says in reply to Aluzira as he eagerly awaits the opening of the door. "Folk of all sorts lived in the city in those days, and my people may well have had a hand in the building. Nowadays, we're more hole-builders rather than city-builders, if you take my meaning, and though this city looks a bit like a hole, it's not one I'd want to live in, no thank you!"
With Aluzira and Tarek's combined effort, the door opens with a crack. Inside is a small, ten foot by ten foot room, apparently once used as someone's bedroom. There's still a wooden pallet on the floor up against the wall to the left. There's a door directly across from you and another on the right which look to be in a similar condition to the one you just opened. The two doors and the pallet are covered in thick hanging cobwebs, and you can see that the ceiling, although much lower than that of the hexagonal room, also shows signs of the intrusion of water, with small stalactites hanging from above.

Aluzira chuckles a little bit in reply to Mr. Remacle saying, “That’s understandable, this place is a bit unsettling, but still fascinating as well,” before peering into the now open room curiously.
You notice in the old cobwebs heaped on the floor is a set of five knucklebones, left behind by some former resident. As you all stand gazing through the doorway, everyone hears the distant sound of children's laughter. It's unclear which of the two doors the sound might be coming from.
Anakis creeps into the room and plays a little with the knucklebones. Hearing the laughter, Anakis stands up, looking at the doors around the room. "There are other kids down here?" She looks to Tarek and Aluzira, "Why would there be kids down here?"
Ash frowns. "I dont know why there are any kids down here, no offence Anakis, but I have a feeling those are not kids." He raises his spear, grunting in pain as he does.

Who's going to try to open it?
