The lizards are hungry and cooperatively move to one side of the room to eat the food you've offered them leaving the way open to the iron trunk. Remacle's eyes widen when he sees the amount of electrum and silver pieces in the trunk.
"We've struck it rich fellas!" he says to the other halflings, who crowd around to get a sight of all the coins. "Now how do we get all this out of here? I reckon there's about ten pounds for each of us, if everyone carries the same. How does that sound to you big folks?"
Anakis nods with a big smile, "Let's move quickly before mister lizard and his friends finish their meals." She quickly moves forward and starts shovelling coins and treasure into her bag.
Anakis, you find with the added weight in your pack you're now encumbered.
Nicolas and Torrent remove several bundles of torches from their backpacks to make room for the coins. "I hate to leave these behind in this dark, dreary place," says Torrent, "but I'm sure these coins are more valuable."
The halflings pull out sacks which they fill with silver and gold-colored coins, throwing them over their shoulders. "That's the lot of it," says Remacle, "let's be on our way."
Anakis starts dragging her pack along behind her, "Uh, maybe someone should take some of this because I'm going to be awful slow with all this coin in my bag. Torrent? Tarek? You guys are strong."
After filling her bag with her share of the coins she looks at the bundles of torches. “I can carry a single torch at least, I’m sure we won’t need that many on our way back up.” She picks up one of the torches and tucks it in her belt. She then watches as the others get ready to move out.
Torrent looks doubtfully at his backpack. "I'd have to drop some more torches from my pack to keep the straps from giving way from the weight," he says in reply to your request, Anakis.
"That's alright," says Tarek. "I have room," and he agrees to carry about five pounds of your coins, Anakis, relieving you of your encumbrance.
"Thanks Tarek," Anakis says as she hands over a heap of coins, "Let's get out of here. I don't think we've really cleaned any of the undead like they wanted us to, but we got some treasure." She grins with excitement at all the money they've picked up. "Now to find our way out," she gives an nervous chuckle.
Anakis closes her eyes for a moment and silently reaches out to her patron, Okay, Mister Mask. You've pointed the way so far. Now please help me get out of here. In an instant later, her eyes are open again and she smiles to the others. "Well, we know we need to go up. So that's a start. And we passed a river before and we know the city has a river passing through it, so could be something too." She hefts her pack more on her shoulders and starts creeping, as best she can with a heavy pack, back down the hall they came to find an exit (Stealth: 7 and Perception: 9).
(OOC - oof, though understandable given a heavy pack full of coins haha.)
As you round the corner, the hallway curves to the right, leading down to the black gravel beach of a dark river of deep, slow-moving water. The river is too wide to see the other side, but a narrow stone bridge arcs up from the beach and over the water, disappearing into the darkness ahead of you.
"You think there's a way out that way, do you Miss?" asks Remacle.
Anakis squints as she tries to see across, but even her vision doesn't reach that far. She pouts and taps her lip with a finger as she thinks, then finally shakes her head. "Maybe not. We did come a long way down. But now there's a bridge, I'm kinda curious as to what's on the other side." She looks to the others, a pleading look on her face, "Can we?"
After thinking for a moment Aluzira shrugs, “Why not? I will go with you if you wish to see what’s on the other side. Though we should be careful.” She adds before fidgeting with her dagger. “That last part was probably obvious,” she thinks to herself.
Anakis giggles, "Always." Before she sneaks off towards the bridge and carefully begins to trek across it, checking her footing as she goes and watching for traps or unfriendly creatures as she goes (Stealth: 22 and Perception: 11).
The narrow bridge arches over a dark water as it flows through a vast cavern of unknown size. As you descend the far end of the bridge, you can see that a twenty-foot wide passage continues into the rock on the other side. Immediately to your left, at the base of the bridge, in a recess against the left-hand wall, is another tight, winding chimney-hole that descends about sixty feet down to an even lower level. Straight ahead, the passageway continues for thirty feet before it is intersected by a ten-foot wide passage. Another thirty feet beyond that, the passageway ends in a large door. Everything is damp and dripping with water that flows from the rock faces of the passage and pools on the floor, running down into the river and into the chimney-hole to your left.
Anakis looks around at all the water, especially the water running down the chimney hole and shudders. "I'm not entirely excited about going down that hole with the water flowing through it as well. I've already had an interesting experience with the waters in Ekuepool, I'm not keen on diving further down into them. But there's a big door ahead. Maybe that's a way out?"
“It could be,” Aluzira says coming up behind Anakis, “I can certainly understand why you wouldn’t want to go down into a place that’s also got water going into it. But at any rate, doors always seem to have something of interest behind them, regardless of wether or not it’s a way out.”
Anakis nods and continues to sneak towards the doors ahead, stopping to check the hall that intersects the corridor before she gets to the doors. "Aluzira, can you check that way for me?" she asks, pointing the other direction (Stealth: 5 and Perception: 10 - I rolled perception at advantage for help from Aluzira, but if you want a straight roll, let me know).

Aluzira also gives a nervous chuckle. “I hope we can find the way out, I may have been a little too focused on getting in.”

“Right! That’s true!” Aluzira says enthusiastically following Anakis back down the hall.
By “find an exit”, do you mean to go back out the way you came in or something else?
I ask because right away you have a choice of going straight back the way you came or turning right down towards the sound of running water.
(OOC - ah true, I remembered the water further back, but the closer water would be more enticing for Anakis.)
Anakis nods and leads the way towards the nearby sound of running water.
