"I didn't find much but I hope it helps," Aluzira says handing Ulben the few herbs she found. After eating she asks "Who should take first watch? Should we rotate out during the night? Also if we do a rotaion how long should each person's watch be? "Oh and thank you for the food!" she adds looking to Torrent and Ulben.
"It's my pleasure. We didn't have much time ta gather much, but I'll set out another trap to grab some breakfast for us. I'll take last watch, so I can start making food for y'all to wake up to. I reckon with our numbers we kin take three shifts of two apiece. Maybe two and a half hours each shift?" Torrent looks at the group. "Who wants last watch with me? And Aluzira, it's my pleasure. We'll be sharing many meals like this as we work together."

As darkness falls over the swamp, the quiet winter noises diminish until all that remains is the occasional splash or bubble. The watches of the night pass without incident, and the temperature drops until, in the early pre-dawn hours frost appears on the sedge and a thin layer of ice forms around the edges of the ponds nearby. Rowan, although your tent helps with warmth, you would have needed to bring at least a blanket (or a bedroll) or sleep restlessly in the nighttime chill. I think I may have said something contrary to that in the pre-game discussion, so you can fix that now if that was something you discarded.
It's still about an hour until sunrise, as the dim light of dawn begins to grow under the cloudy sky. A light wind stirs in the west. The water you brought from the city has now been used up, and the cloudy, fetid waters of the nearby ponds have an unwholesome look.
Ulben would take water, put it into a pot and boil it. He might know of some type of filtration thing, that grows in nature, well more likely accidentally discovers it.
Boiling the water makes it less malodorous and somewhat more palatable, but the water continues to be strangely cloudy. There's a moss, however, that grows in the bog, called clonna, that, when used to filter the water, renders it clear and prevents spoilage. Ulben, make a DC 10 Intelligence (Cook's Utensils) check to see if you can discover, through trial and error, which of the many varieties of moss growing around the campsite is the correct one to run the water through to clarify it. If you succeed, you can filter enough water for the entire party as long as you remain camped in this location. If you fail, you work obliviously on this fruitless endeavor until mid-day before giving up.
Fluin walks around the area around the camp, looking under lilies and anything else to see if he can spot any big toads. He would aid others as they patrol and look for the creatures they came to put an end to.
Rowan and Torrent, the heavy rain that fell the day before yesterday seems to have washed away all traces or tracks of the giant toads that were spotted here before
Fluin, your search of the area turns up some toads that are quite a bit larger than normal, some of them the size of a cat or a badger, evidently hibernating. They launch themselves into the water in an uncoordinated way when discovered and dive to the bottom. No sign of the man-swallowing variety you came here to fight is to be seen, however.
Aluzira sits crisscross on her bedroll listening to the sounds of the bog. She tries to hear any croaking that might indicate where a giant toad was, hoping her ear for music would be just as good at hearing toads.
Anakis searches around for the toads as well, and after a while starts getting bored. She has a thought to try and disturb the water more and uses Thaumaturgy to cause tremors in the ground at the bottom of a nearby pool.
Tarek ventures a little beyond the camp to look for the giant toads, but tries to keep within sight of the camp. He keeps his javelins ready for any signs of movement.
"Right everyone. They are known to patrol around these areas, but I don't know exactly where they've gone. We may need ta go lookin' around for 'em. Maybe we kin go patrolling for them." (Would Torrent have any kind of idea where to look for them?)

The water runs clear from Ulben's makeshift filter, providing clean water for the party to drink while in camp. Because the clonna was discovered accidentally, the effect cannot be recreated in a new location without further effort.
Aluzira, as you sit and listen to the sounds of the bog around you, it's as if you can hear the cold west wind whispering the answer to a certain question for which you've been searching.
Anakis, your casting of thaumaturgy causes ripples to form on the surface of the pool, but no toads emerge from its depth.
Tarek, no giant toads appear to be within the vicinity of the camp at this time. Some movement attracts your attention, but it's just a turtle on its way to the water.
Torrent knows the giant toads have no permanent home and can't be relied on to be in any particular place at any given time. It's also known that they inhabit this general area, and that this is the last location where Torrent observed them, but without any means for tracking them, you have no idea of where to look.
How long does everyone spend looking for the toads around the camp?
Aluzira's brows furrow as she tries to hone in on the whispers. All thoughts of the toads have fled her mind as she listens to the wind hoping against hope she can understand it.

With Ulben's background being a cook, would I be able to try and clean up some water for drinking?

Yes, what does that look like?
Tarek volunteers to take the first watch. After his watch is over, he will retreat into the tent and try to get a good night's sleep.
(OOC: Does someone else want to be in the tent with Tarek? It's a two-person tent.)

Yes, Rowan had a blanket. She’ll offer up Her tent for someone to share.
in the morning, Rowan will offer to help search for toad tracks, etc. in the hopes of finding some action (she’s a soldier, not much of a hunter)

Torrent also would be looking around for potential signs of direction to search for the Toads.
