Anakis looks at the new group member, her lips pinched together as she tries to decide if she agrees. Finally, she turns back to the room, exhales through pursed lips and gives a little nod. She steps forward, takes a deep breath as she casts thaumaturgy to make her voice boom as she lets out a roar.
A cloud of bats drops from the ceiling of the chamber and flies out the door and past you up the hall, obviously startled by the loud noise. The main group of them disappear up the hall while some continue to flit around above your heads waiting to see if it's safe to return to their roost.
Aluzira’s eyes widen in awe at Anakis powerful roar before ducking down, hands covering her head as the bats fly out in a hurry. “That was amazing...” she says to Anakis, as she straightens back up. Then hands ready to draw her daggers, she walks forward into the chamber.
Tarek is surprised at first with Anakis's booming voice followed by the rush of bat wings, but manages to duck low to avoid the bats. He keeps low, trying to keep as silent as possible, as he continues down the hall following Aluzira. (Stealth: 6)

Anakis ducks as the bats fly through, and once they've passed, she giggles at everyone's amazement and sneaks forward into the room with Aluzira and Tarek (Stealth: 10).
As you enter the small chamber, you can see that the idols that line the walls are truly made of stone, but the identities of the gods they depict are too obscured by thick coatings of guano to make out. There are no other exits from the chamber but the doorway by which you have entered. On the floor, buried in guano, there's a decaying leather pouch which contains a small box.
Anakis spies the leather pouch and runs over. She pauses a moment as she looks at it and the crap encrusted covering before taking a deep breath and reaching down to try and get the small box and look to see if there was anything else in the pouch without getting bat guano on her (Investigation: 14).
"Aww, I was hoping for something shiny," Anakis says with a bit of a sigh before putting the items into his tinderbox. She looks back to everyone, "Did any of you find anything?"
Aluzira shakes her head. “Just these statues, I wonder if this was the old cities temple...” she ponders a moment and then asks “Do you know what these places might’ve been Mr. Remacle?”
"My grandad never told me about no underground temples miss, no," Remacle says, looking up at the obscured faces of the idols. "I haven't the slightest."
"I haven't got any spells or water to clean off the statues. Would you have anything like that Torrent? Maybe if we can clean them off, we can figure out what they were for?" Anakis looks over at Torrent with pleading eyes, hoping he has something to help them.
"Well, if there was some water here, more than this drippin' offa the ceiling, both Aluzira and I could manipulate it, with our genie-touched magic," says Torrent, looking up at the ceiling of the hallway, which is crawling with moisture. "But alas, I canna' work with the likes of that. This looks like a dead end to me. I don't think these old gods have much to do with us anyway. Perhaps we ought to consider going back and trying the other direction?"
Anakis pouts a moment, then nods. She heads off back down the hall they've just travelled along, then turns to head down the larger hall they first descended into. She sneaks off ahead, keeping an eye out for things on the roof, other creatures or traps (Sneak: 23 & Perception: 3).
Bats flit back and forth across the ceiling all the way along the narrow hallway, and passing under the decorated archway into the wider passage, the feeling of a presence is very strong. After traveling a similar distance, another chamber is reached, a place of branching pathways. The ancient stone walls are cracked with age, and at a place where two of the hallways meet, a great stone chair, beautifully painted, is carved directly into the wall. On the seat of the great chair sits a scroll of parchment.
Four passageways, beside the one you came down, lead out of the chamber, which is roughly trapezoidal in shape, arising from the confluence of ways.
Directly to the right is a ten foot wide hall. Anakis and Ash can see that after about forty feet it enters into the left side of chamber another twenty feet across. The rest if the chamber is out of view to the right.
Diagonally to the right is a twenty foot wide passage which comes to an end about sixty feet along its length. Anakis can see, however, that a small, beautifully carved archway in the far right hand corner of the hall leads into a very narrow passageway to the right. From the direction of this small opening comes a faint jingling sound.
Straight ahead, a ten foot wide passageway stretches onward into the darkness. Ash and Anakis can see that, about sixty feet along its right hand wall is a door. At the corner of the chamber between this hallway and the diagonal hallway is where the stone chair is.
The fourth hallway, on the left and twenty feet wide, also runs straight ahead, but after nearly sixty feet, it bends to the left.

Anakis points down the hall where she can hear the faint jingling sound, "Something is moving down there, Tarek. And I can see a couple of little doorways and halls branching off." Anakis looks to the stone chair with the parchments atop it, curiosity eating away at her, but then she moves towards the entrance of the hall with the sound to hide at the side and peer down into the darkness to see if she can make out what is making the sound (Stealth: 7 & Perception: 4).

Snapping out of the daze the “temple” left him in, Nicolas hurries to catch up with the group, slowing as he nears them so that he can join in their sneaking. (Stealth: 11) He takes note of the scroll and points to it whispering, “So who gets the honor?”

Aside from the box, the pouch contains some birch bark and cattail fluff, good materials for making tinder bundles.
