They seem to be running from the explosion, but Hothren cannot discern exactly why they’re running away. Goddard, you notice that one figure is taller than average, while the rest are shorter than average.
The blast was several blocks away, and it luckily seems like no one’s been injured. Suddenly, an armed, gruff-looking man approaches you, flanked by two similarly armed men. “Did you see what happened here?”
"We were heading this way when we heard the blast." Valen says meeting the man's eyes squarely. "We were just going to go check to see if anyone was hurt in the explosion." He nods back over his shoulder. "As we approached we saw some figures running that way, but they did not respond and I thought it prudent to make sure no one needed help here before doing anything else."
Valen will do likewise. "Anyone else willing to pony up here?" He asks the various strangers around him.
Ulfgar will chip in as well.

"I'll give you a gold piece too."
“Thanks for your donations. If you would just follow me...” he sets off in to the right.

Valen shrugs and follows.
Ulfgar also follows.

Suddenly, an explosion comes into view, as a massive fireball erupts from the mountainside. You can see three cloaked figures running past.

Valen grips his glave, calling out to the cloaked figures. "What happened?"
Cautious of the explosion, Goddard retrieves his daggers. He raises a hand, the flickers of a fire slowly forming. “What he said. What’s happening?”
Hothren moves to the side.
"Let's go see if we can help." He says out loud and looks at the three people running.
(Insight check 9: Are they running away or did they have something to do with it.)
Ulfgar reflextively produces the two handaxes on his hips and gets ready to sprint in the direction of the explosion.
Is there anything eye catching about the cloaked figures? Noticable features? whether it be on persons themselves or their cloaks.

I’ll do a perception check for Goddard as well. Cloaked figures running from explosions can be suspicious.

Valen shrugs and moves towards thee blast to see if anyone nees aid.
Pretty much at the same time as Valen, Goddard shrugs and turns forward to check out the blast.
He’s still a little bit suspicious of cloaked figures running away from an explosion like that, but he lets it go for the time being.

Hothren just looks at the gruff figure. " We have just arrived but we saw several runners go that way." He points a finger in the direction.

(Sorry for the late reply, today was hectic)
“Well, one of those runners was a dangerous goliath war criminal named Sken Zabriss. Normally, I would be arresting you for letting her go like this.”

Goddard says in an extremely sarcastic tone, “Right, because we saw her face, recognized her, and said ‘Yeah, escape.’”
