Alyseris follows them up the stairs, but doesn’t initially shout out - he knows to listen before speaking. In the meantime, he also listens to the song, filing the haunting words and melody away in memory. He pauses behind the other two, waiting to see what’s happening above.
The kilted man slides his chair back and looks from Gorgon, back to the others. He decides that abandoning the one going to a new place would be worse and follows him, warpick sliding back into his sash.

Just a husband, father, DM, strength coach, writer, mustard producer, youth minister, and US Army Airborne veteran trying to stay sane.
After the song has stopped, Mist looks at her companions and says quietly,
”Don’t know why people like that, creepy as hell to me. Anyway, that girl over there playing Baldur’s Bones is Tarina. If you don’t mind, I’ll listen from a distance. She scares me to the bone. Good luck!”
Slowing down so someone else takes the lead, Mist tries to avoid the eyes of anyone at the table.
Gorgon approaches the table. He is not familiar with the game Baldur's Bones and has no idea how far into the game they are. He taps Tarina on the shoulder and asks "Excuse me, ma'am. When you're done with this game my friends and I would like to ask you a few questions."
Banlashan quickly took a few pieces of breads that had come with the soup and stored them away in his trouser pockets, an old habit that he found comforting. He then followed the others up the stairs, but his heart and mind were definitely set on the aria of the elven woman. He listened to each crescendo with delight, she was a wonderful performer even from beyond the grave.
Once the song ended he then returned his full attention to the groups activities including Gorgon approaching the woman and calmly tapping her on the shoulder. He looked at the other figures gathered around her and quickly decides he would not have been so brave; as such he maintained a good distance, back near where Mist was. She too was unsettled by the woman, which made him curious as to their past. "Psst, Mist, sorry to bother but why does Tarina scare you so much?" he asked in a whisper.
Keeping her eyes everywhere but the table, Mist quietly replies to Banlashan.
”Ban, she’s a spy from the Guild. THE Guild. Everyone on the street knows that you do not cross the Guild. They’re the biggest and most ruthless group of thieves in the city. You should know this Ban! You grew up here too. And Tarina, well, let’s just say if the Guild doesn’t know something, she will find it, and she hasn’t failed once according to rumors.”
Shivering a bit, Mist looks at her new group and can’t help but feel a bit concerned. There was a man a few inches taller than her that had shown up without a word. Was he part of the Guild? She keeps an eye on the new guy for now while nudging Ban and indicating the new person.
Banlashan kept a plain face, even as Mist talked about The Guild, he knew about them; but this seemed like more of a personal or direct fear the way Mist was acting.
"Of course, of course. I am wary of The Guild myself, I just thought, well it seemed anyways that there might be something specific you didn't care for with regards to Miss Tarina's reputation is all." Banlashan made sure to give a small grin in hopes that his words wouldn't insult Mist in some unintentional way; afterall, maybe he was just reading too much into it.
Tarina saw t Gorgon come up to her and she raises an eyebrow when he taps her on the shoulder. The others players take a sit back, clearly waiting for whats going to come next.
"I hope you have a real reason to disturb me when I m playing ?"
When she sees that Gorgon is not kidding at all she looses her smile and show filed teeth.
"If you're here working for Captain Hithrin tell him i don't have his money and I have friends now."
(Insight check please DC 14 Read Spoiler if succeeded .)
Though angry at being disturbed during her game, she is more than afraid and compensating with bravado. Whoever is that Captain has her scared.
Down below in the common room the door of the inn open ms in a loud bang and a group of sailors swagger in. There a 6 of them and leading them is an archetype what a pirate looks like. Tricorne hat, sash, and unbottoned vest. He has a saber to the side.
He gets the to center of the room as his friends move to either sides.
"Well me fellaz. I got me a thirst to fill an ocean wouldn't quench and a lady called Tarina to find. Anyone wants a trade."
About to answer, Mist hears the raised voices and swears.
“What did I say about that song? Always a fight happening afterwards.”
Seeing that Tarina was scared of a man’s voice, Mist sneaks a peak downstairs. Does she know this Captain Hithrin? If so, how likely is he to start a fight?
Thorin says to Tarina: 'We were sent here by Captain Zodge who told us you owe him a favor. Do you want to discuss it here in front of everybody or find a place more private to talk? Or you may even want to go down and talk to the big man downstairs who is asking for you."
Gorgon looks around the upstairs. He can tell this whole mess is about to turn into quite the fiasco. If there are any windows in the upstairs, he looks through them to see what they would land on if he were to grab Tarina and jump out, cushioning the fall with his own body. You know, hypothetically.

He had been on missions that had gone south before. You couldn't always talk your way out of some of these things. You couldn't always fight your way out of some of these things. Given that this Captain man was a complete unknown, he didn't want to rely on talking or fighting. But running - running is usually an option.
((Hot dang what with the captain man coming in downstairs at a time like this, this feels more like an Eberron campaign than Forgotten Realms! And that's a compliment!))
(OOC - I think Mist and Banlashan are by the top of the stairs?)
Alyseris reaches the top of the stairs, leaning on the old spear he uses as a walking staff as he watches proceedings. He nods towards Mist and Banlashan. ‘Looks like I arrived in time for things to get interesting. Perfect.’ He grins, his smile almost normal. ‘Captain Zodge sent me to support the efforts to investigate the sects - an area of some interest for me.’ A pause for a moment’s thought. ‘I’m Alyseris Gelrhian, I assume from the Captain’s descriptions you’re Banlashan and Mist?’
Banlashan looked the newcomer, Alyseris as he called himself, over. There was something familiar about him but he couldn't place it, as if he'd seen him before, but that would have to wait as it would seem that there were more pressing matters at hand. Banlashan carefully moved down the stairs a bit to see the captain standing in the main room, he didn't know why this man was looking for Tarina, but they needed to get their information before the captain could have her, they needed a distraction.
He began to work the words of a Minor Illusion spell that he had mastered from his premonitions as he pulled his orb from the pouch at his side and placed it in front of his eyes. A few seconds later the salty grainy voice of a man Banlashan had once heard on the docks of the city issued forth from behind the captain and his men where a group of people sat at a nearby table
"Who dressed you mate, Your Mom or A BLIND PIRATE!"
Mist looks down the stair and glimpse at the pirates that have so boisterously entered the inn. She doesn't recognize them and she sees no markings of any guilds.
Tarina looks at Thorin who spoke first then at the others. Her attitude shifts. " Get me out of here and I ll tell you want you want."
Gorgon, you see a large window that can be easily open on both sides of the room.
