Tzedaka listens and considers all that they have found.
"Eenwynn, no 'person' can see all of the secret tings that Gayroot has done and (she looks at him) he has not told his story, just tried to escape it. Your companion(she names them) likely did not tell your cheroic story to a writer. So....des books were not written by a mortal. Since dey seem to be written about Cheroes defeating evil, dey were written by gods who admire and see such tings, perchaps even by motter (Justice), Telak (Courage), or Hamaskis (Learning). If we had de first book, which likely is dee story of Zagor being defeated by the cheroes, we would know of some of his weaknesses."
"Motter must have brought me to you because she watches dee story of dee Cheroes of Chalice. She knows you are dee best chance Allansia has for defeating Zagor.
Dee story is being written as we speak. Shalana said it best, (In Shalanas mechanical voice) "Designation Zagor. The Warlock of Firetop Mountain."
"Are de Cheroes ready to enter the 'inner sanctum' and move closer to Zagor?"
Next to see if there are any other items in the room: 25
He will look at the walls, doors, ceiling and floor for any writing or patterns or symbols: 11
Ian will stand on his head if this doesn't work (he thinks in frustration ;-) )
After an intensive search Ian finds a single gold piece with a Z inscribed on it on top of one of the book cases. And a particularly shiny rock....that seems to be quartz.
Walls floors and walls are smoothly worked stone, heading to the door....it is open and ajar leading to a short tunnel that stops at a blank wall of stone some 10' within.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tzedaka: "Are de Cheroes ready to enter the 'inner sanctum' and move closer to Zagor?"
"No, I'm not..." Enwynn mutters, admitting her confusion at being called a hero "...But there's no other choice that offers any hope of survival now." and moves to the door.
OOC: Enwynn looks around for anything in the apparent dead-end corridor that might be a door. Perception 8
As Ian approaches the wall there is a soft click and the entire stone dead end slides sideways slides to the side revealing a large room. The room is lit by lour candles standing at the four comers of a wooden table in the middle of the room. A polished breastplate lies on the table.
A door painted a brilliant yellow sits in the opposite wall.
"Maybe someone misplaced them? I honestly can't say what significance they might have."
Banzo looks ahead at the yellow door. "Someone keep an eye on that door. Until we're ready to try it ourselves I'd rather not be caught unawares."
Looking back at the table with the breastplate. "We should make good use of anything of value that we find. That could help some of our newer friends who don't have all their equipment."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Is it common to chave an empty candle lit room width magic armor on a table under a mountain filled width evil doers?" She looks to them for confirmation.
"It has been my experience that such items comes with a price" Garets mind goes back to his test and although the prize were fake the dangers were real, the sword he carried came from an epic battle with a skeleton lord.
A wry smile crossed his face, "But who knows perhaps the gods are with us, this time."
Banzo: "Someone keep an eye on that door. Until we're ready to try it ourselves I'd rather not be caught unawares."
Enwynn offers "I'm watching it. Brilliant yellow. Sunshine in a dark room, like the candles. Out of place, like the marble bench that gave rest. A tiny spot of good in the midst of evil perhaps?"
Tzedaka thinks to herself that this could either be a gift from the gods to aid the heroes or a temptation for the greedy
Without touching either item, Tzedaka utters words in Celestial and then examines the armor and the sword they found earlier (with the string) for any similarities (same colors, same maker, any sigils or marks from gods, armorers mark, etc.)

The sword is well fashioned but has no distonguishing marks, the Breastplate however carries a likeness of Sindla, Goddess of Luck and Fate and Mother of Libra.
"Magical armor sometimes has... 'special properties' beyond it's ability to simply provide protection. One of you should make use of it. I would but for my shell."
Banzo knocks on his shell with a resounding, "Tock! Tock!"
"When everyone's ready we should try the yellow door."

Ian will look through the rest of the room
First to see if there is anything hidden: 11
Next to see if there are any other items in the room: 10
He will look at the walls, doors, ceiling and floor for any writing or patterns or symbols: 28
Ian will stand on his head if this doesn't work (he thinks in frustration ;-) )

Tzedaka utters a blessing in Celestial, and casts Guidance on Ian
"Ian Stonewalle, do you see a vay through?"

A door painted a brilliant yellow sits in the opposite wall.
Tzedaka quietly places a book at the opening (to keep the door from closing suddenly)
She looks for a mechanism that opened the door.
(Perception: 12
Then utters in Celestial and casts (Guidance) on Enwynn.
(OOC: Are the detect traps and detect magic still active?)
No mechanism can be seen.
Detect Traps detects nothing.
The breastplate is magical.
Ian responds (sorry about the delay) "Yes, I found this coin with a 'Z' on it and some type of quartz rock. What do you all make of it?"

Herman mumbles in discomfort , he follows Enwyn by the yellow door, checking for sounds from the other side
Perception, assuming help, so with advantage

All is quiet on the other side of the door.
Ian will watch the door

"Dis armor has grandmottters Sindlas face, chere." She points to the breastplate.
"She may grant you...good fortune when you need it most."
"Perchaps dis is your prize for defeating dee Inquisitor."
