Even more determined to slow the monstrous torturer down after his nearly fatal blow to Connar. Rufus once again blasts it with a freezing blast of of air.
<Rufus casts Frostbite upon him for 1 point's of damage and disadvantage on his next attack roll. Save vs CON is 13>
Connor sliced into the hulking figures chest as another arrow blossomed there, then frost and eldritch energy spread across its torso, it raised the cleaver to strike but Hatchs axe suddenly appeared in its forehead and it tipped backwards silently to crash to the floor.
"Would appear so." Brocc confirms. He moves forward, stabbing it once again for good measure, then turns his eyes to the room-at-large. He frowns as he takes in the equipment around, but decides he better have a look to see if there is anything useful or interesting among the rest.

Having a closer look at the thing Tom is fairly sure that it was dead long before they entered the room, though dead wasn't quite the same as not trying to brutally murderate folks apparently.
The equipment all seems to be long disused torture devices covered in dust and ancient bloodstains, though two of the racks seem recently used and are stained with a greenish fluid.
Around the dead torturers neck is a strange square of metal on a leather thong.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Connar is again going to look for anything valuable. (Perception: 8 Investigation: 12 ) Then he will look for secret things like trapdoors, fake walls and the like.
"Got a bit tough, But I knew I could handle it." Connar says in his cocky tone, neglecting to tell the gnome thank you for saving his life.

"Jesus... the things that must go on in this chamber.... hey y'all find anything?"
Tom will remain on guard as the others start to check out the room and the corpse, but also try and think back to his childhood when he used to go and explore old ruins for fun... he has seen some pretty gnarly creatures and is hoping he might know more specifics after examining the fallen beast a little closer.
Nature check to determine if Tom has seen this type of monstrosity before, details about it, its features, etc. 13
Brocc determines that the piece of metal has a very slight magical aura, barely a glimmer...
A thorough search of the chamber reveals no secrets or anything of interest really, a quick glance down the other corridor leaving the room enables Connar to determine that it turns left after a short while and is probably the corridor they did not go down back at the intersection.
A look at the two used racks indicates that the most recent occupants were possibly orcs.....from the amount of viscera and the strange green liquid they did not survive their time here. There are two silver coins on the ground next to the rack, possibly they fell from one of the victims pockets during the process.
Tom examines the dead form and after a bit of head scratching determines that in life it was a male "human" with rather a lot of ogre in its heritage, the lack of eyes he is unable to determine if they were removed before it died or post mortem. Its leather apron could possibly be removed and worn but it is.......nasty.
"I have no idea what the hell this thing is... or was... but glad we were able to dispatch it."
Tom then answers Connar "Well... seems we might have no other choice than to go check out what's gotten so angry behind that other door we saw back there. Feeling lucky?"
Tom winks at Connar and then awaits the rest of the party's input.
(Tom wants to go investigate the door that had the banging sounds behind it!)

OOC: Just a reminder that the corridor lined with doors continue north, you guys went west into this chamber about halfway along it. So when you get back to the noisy door there is corridor to your right ( where you originally came from) and to your left ( where you haven't been yet).
Hatch is wiping his axe off on the dead behemoth in order to remove the dead thing's brains from it. He had left the examination of, basically everything in the room it seemed, to his more curious companions. Which was just as well, they seemed to be pretty thorough about it, and turned up nothing but a slightly magical bit of metal and two silver coins no one seemed willing to pick up.
Edit:
"I guess we go further down the corridor? Because I knocked on the door with the noises, and I wouldn't recommend it..."
Double edit - Hatch is against it, but I really want to open the zombie horde door!
Tom, to Connar: "Lucky enough to open that door?!" Tom smiles, points his cocked arrow at the door with the noises.
Tom is over confident to begin with as he's never really seen adversity in his life. And the fact that the party just took out that huge beast ogre whatever the hell it was - he's feeling more confident than ever.
Rufus looks apprehensively at the door that some of the others are contemplating opening. He says, "There be all manner of unpleasantness behind that door no doubt. I suggest we try the unexplored corridor first."
"Agreed." Brocc puts in, hefting his spear. "Let us leave whatever is behind that door for now..." He would start down the hallway they have not gone down yet.

Torinn just growls "This thing needs to just die." as he launches another bolt at the creature.

Hatch is starting to curse his ill luck, still trying his darnedest to hit this undead monstrosity.

Brocc removes the thong from around the undead's neck and examines it, casting detect magic as a ritual.
While Brocc investigates the throng on the reslain behemoth, Rufus looks for any secret or hidden exits or storage areas with the chamber of torture.

Connar isn't desperate enough to grab those coins. "So gang, where next?"
