Despite his instincts, he realizes he is outvoted, and as much as he hates to admit to himself, he'll need their help if he wants to make it out alive. Besides, there might be treasure down the hall. "Fine," Connar grumbles. At Tom's comment. "Next time it is."
The group continues down the corridor, there are four more doors( two to a side ) before the corridor turns a corner to the left. Listening, there are no sounds from behind three of the doors, one( the last on the right) seems to have a high pitched whistling sound within.
"I say we check behind each quiet door first before opening the whistling one," Hatch suggested, before trying to see if the nearest silent door to him would open or was locked.
"I say we check behind each quiet door first before opening the whistling one," Hatch suggested, before trying to see if the nearest silent door to him would open or was locked.
Hatch determined that the door was barred from the outside like all the others, openig it slightly to peer within he saw dozens of armed skeletons crammed within with the same faint green glow that the others had, they did not respond to his opening the door.
To Hatch: "Ok so they have quite the army of skeletons... I saw the same thing in another room back down that way. I wonder if they are planning some type of invasion... whoever they are."
Tom's going to continue to cover everyone with his bow drawn. Anxious for someone to try and open the door with the whistling.
Hatch closed the door and backed away. "There's a disturbing thing about this. Twice now we've come to a corridor with four rooms, three filled with skeletons that so far fail to move or register our presence, and one door where whatever is behind it definitely makes noise. Here the noisy room contains something whistling, the other room contained...well, it sounded like zombies or ghouls or something else equally disturbing. Besides making a noise unlike the skeltetons, whatever was in that room was definitely aware of my knocking on the door. If the skeletons don't react, but the non-skeletons do..."
Hatch stepped towards the door to the whistling room and knocked on the door while saying, "Anything or anyone in there?" If it made a scary response like the things in the other room, they should rethink opening this door.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brocc checks the other two quiet doors and finds them also full of armed but quiescent skeletons.
Connar comes to the door with the strange whistling sound, he lifts the bar holding it in place and discovers that the hinges on the door were quite worn......with the bar no longer holding the door secure it suddenly vanishes...
It takes Connar a moment to determine what is happening as the door suddenly tumbles away from him into the yawning void down to the countryside far below, the entire room beyond the door from has fallen away and he is staring down at the passing scenery.
Connar grabs for the door frame but misses...he is moments away from falling to his death....
Well it depends what your doing...tackling him away from the edge would be Athletics, Just grabbing him would be a straight Dex roll...etc. strength check to stop you both going over as he's not exactly a lightweight.
Hatch sighs in relief as Brocc manages to save Connar. That was a close one.
"Okay, let's just keep away from this door and any others that are whistling," he said, backing away from the door to oblivion. "So, do we continue down this corridor? Or would you rather risk going back and opening up the other noisy door?"
"Let us keep moving." Brocc pants out as he gets up, the short-lived desire to kiss Conner easily resisted. He takes the lead once more and leads the way onward down the hall.

OOC: So corridor?
Tom will wait to see if Connar ends up opening the door with the noises, but if he doesn't, he will follow the others down the corridor.
"Next time Connar!"

"Hey Connar - here's another one for us."

Brocc checks the other quiet doors.
Connar nods. "This should be easy."

Dex Save: 13
(Can we roll to try and catch him? And if so what do we roll?)
”Connar! NO!!”
Tom feels some guilt in the moment and yes also would definitely try to catch him if we might be able to roll for this somehow.

Brocc tries to tackle his companion away from the void...
Athletics: 16
Brocc leaps across knocking Connar away from the door and landing on top of him panting heavily ( if this was an 80s action movie you would kiss now).
Tom is about to jump for Connar when he sees Brocc tackle him to the ground just in time.
"Well that was too close for comfort. How about we continue down the corridor for now?" Tom's short lived confidence is gone.
Tom will walk backwards with the party, watching the rear in case anything tries to flank us.
"Let us keep moving." Brocc pants out as he gets up, the short-lived desire to kiss Conner easily resisted. He takes the lead once more and leads the way onward down the hall.
