Tzedaka stops in her tracks and turns around. she looks at Herman. The sound of thunder rumbles outside the building. She takes a deep breath to calm herself as her eyes go back to blue. Then she scolds The barbarian like he was a child and she his mother or teacher “I see that de poison of Shakor ( she spits on Hermans tattoo) is working now, Herman of wolf tribe. If she can separate Cheroes, she vill be more powerful. You possess distrust. Dis is not a part of being a Chero! You should velcome all who can offer aid and be thankful! A man give you food and drink and you insulte him! You should be ashamed!” She storms out ahead of the group, swearing in Celestial (if there are swear words in that tongue) and muttering to herself.

Firetop Mountain is a large mountain in Allansia.
Description
Firetop Mountain is a very jagged mountain rising from the Pagan Plains, somewhat close to the Moonstone Hills. The side of the Mountain is described as looking "if it has been savaged by the claws of some gargantuan beast." Though long thought to be unclimbable, it can actually be done if the climber is daring - or deperate - enough. The mountain earns its name from a vast growth of red Sleeping Grass on its summit, which made people at first believe that the mountain was a volcano.
The nearest village to the mountain, Anvil, is a two-day hike; it was from this village that the heroes who first defeated Zagor, set out.
The mountain is riddled with a veritable labyrinth of corridors and rooms, bisected by an underground river in the center of the mountain. In the past, the mountain was home to a Dwarf village named Redweed.
Redweed was created by Dwarves who had left the ancient realm of Haelsgarth in 1729 ot.
Redweed was founded by the Dwarf King Nadarul Kazorian, an ancestor of King Gillibran Ironhelm III of Stonebridge; the Dwarfs Nadurul ruled were known as the "Redweed Clan".
Redweed was the name of both the village outside the mountain, and the caves and tunnels that had been carved in the mountain for Dwarfs to dwell in.
A human named Gallan Zagor briefly lived in Redweed before being expelled by the Dwarves.
Years later,Oldoran Zagor (Gallan's descendant) and his Orcs arrived at Redweed and began attacking it on Stormsday 5th of Fire, 249 ac. Redweed's original inhabitants were then driven out or eliminated by Zagor's forces after he seized the mountain.
The Salamonis Gazette Issue 1 claims that Zagor seized Firetop Mountain in 254 ac; it is possible that the siege may have lasted several years. The ruins of the Redweed houses still lie to the southeast of Firetop Mountain****y a hardy few of the Dwarfs (from the Battleaxe Clan of the Moonstone Hills) stayed to eke out a living in their old home and harass the Warlock however they could.
With the Warlock's first resurrection, however, it is likely that even these valiant Dwarfs were driven out or killed.
Some years ago the river swelled cutting off supplies from outside world. All the inhabitants starved to death and those that remained became undead due to a curse Zagor placed on them. These undead were used as additional guards to protect the entrance of the maze which led to Zagor's inner sanctum.
Several years ago, an adventurer managed to enter the mountain, evade Zagor's traps, defeated his monsters, and finally dispatched Zagor himself. However, after ten years, disturbing events began to take place on Firetop Mountain. Firstly, the red foliage on the mountain's peak turned black. Next, cattle grazing near the mountain fell sick and died. Finally, villagers from the settlement of Anvil started disappearing. Zagor had returned to his old headquarters.
"Tannin, tell us more about this Trial of Champions. What was your interest in it before we turned your eyes toward Firetop mountain?"
Banzo matches his pace to that of Tannin's while they share discourse.
"You know, 'The Heroes of Chalice' are an amorphous group with members coming and going all the time. So we don't stand on formality or have fancy contracts to sign or any stuff like that. Basically, if the majority accepts you, you're in, and you can always leave when your path diverges from ours."
After adjusting his pack Banzo continues.
"This Zagor fellow is not going to be easy to deal with. We could use every capable hand available so we welcome you if you choose to accompany us to the summit."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Hearing to kindness of Banzo, the still fuming little women seems to settle down and mutters in agreement. However, she is very disappointed in Herman and hopes he realizes he offended their new companion.
"Why should mister Tannin go to the firetop mountain? Maybe drakish people live there"
Tannins brows furl at the slight, "I was just asked by Tzedaka, I know nothing of, Drackish, people there. From what I understand on this Firetop mountain. Death and undeath await those, who inhabit it for long! My folk, are not stupid. Besides the more one experiences, the more power comes to ones hands"

"The Labyrinth of Fang is ran by a noble, Baron Sukumvit. But first you must endure the gladiatorial games Lord Carnuss his brother runs. From what I understand if you beat it your reward is twenty thousand gold."
He drinks a little more thinking this creature is just kind of the challenge the gold Draco-lich Arcansis would want him to deal with.
"The Challenge of Champions is a personal thing, to test my metal, your quest sounds more, important. I like the sound of your group."
Herman at first is surprised by the usually angelic Tzedaka
at first she helps, then she is kind to everyone, then she invites the first passerby and she gets andry...with me..?!
Given he does not know what to think, he behaves as he usually does with women: he mumphs a low murmur, hopying to pass unnoticed.
He turns to the newcomer:
We saw the baron's tent once, from far away, do you remember Banzo?!
Anyway, Tannin, your name reminds me of wine so I like you but, you must understand, you arrive here out of the blue saying you can join...
Banzo is a good natured old pal: he is right: we welcome you if...IF you understand that you risk your life and I must be sure you are not...sorry to say...a burden for the others...
so, tell me, what are you good at? what can make you a hero?
"No, I had not realized how dangerous it would be to ascend to the peak of Firetop mountain until just now. We should check here before leaving since they're only a couple days from Firetop, there's a chance they might have a kit."
Hearing Herman voice his concerns Banzo adds,
"Knowing what each of us is capable of will increase our chances of success. For instance, I myself like to rely heavily on spells. But Herman is right, there is death and danger at the top of Firetop mountain and we would have you forewarned."

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
As they walk Tzedaka picks a few flowers. After a while, she gives them to Herman. “Chere you are my fierce Barbarian!” (Perhaps a peace treaty and back to her sweet self) “Now, pleaze be brave but also tankful of oders, and you vill have my blessing. Remember, I am chere for you.” She smiles, her usual infectious smile with dimples and her perfect alabaster skin. (She is confusing but most women are!)
Tzedaka looks at Banzo. "I tink you have balance and perspective." She smiles at him. "Dis is good outlook on life, don't ju tink?" She winks at Shalana and turns back to the Tortle. "Ven you found dis, you became excellent leader of Cheroes.
Banzo's cheeks turn pinkish/reddish in response to Tzedaka's compliments.
"Well, ah... I don't think I'm the leader, um, what I mean to say is that I joined the Heroes just like everyone else and we just sort of come to an agreement by everyone giving voice to their concerns and thoughts on things."
Banzo smiles back at the Aasimar, "Are all Aasimar as nice as you, Tzedaka?"

Banzo scratches at his left ear lightly before addressing everyone.
"I heard a rumor from one of the caravan merchants last night that Zagor was minting his own coins. Can anyone think of a reason why he would do this? My guess is that he is planning for the future, the distant future."

Herman stops drinking, his suspicion taking shape
