Banzo will dismount when appropriate and seeing the tossed and smashed wagons move to take cover behind the biggest one remaining.
"I can't see anything, there's too much smoke! Looks like some groups of survivors ahead but the dragon could still be about somewhere!"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Tzedaka looks at Tannin, "I'm vill head down to dee group of dwarves." She utters several words in celestial, then the area around her lights up like a huge orb of holy light (Light cantrip). Slowly, the angelic woman decends, making it clear by her aura that she is not a dragon. (Hail, brave dwarves: She calls down in Dwarvish).
Herman goes into a trance of sorts casting his mind about for the dragon, Tannin swoops low and almost catches a crossbow bolt as a frightened dwarf mistakes him for another flying draconic form.....he notes three seperate but adjacent battalions of dwarves, many of whom are injured or blackened.....
Banzo moves up to find cover behind a crushed war wagon coming face to face with the mangled corpse of its driver pinned within the wreckage, Ennwyn-Horse trots up behind him and kneels awkwardly.
Tzedakas light display ellicits another errant crossbow bolt which goes very wide as she descends through the thick smoke she sees a few hundred or so dwarves before her.
On her right are the polished bronze and steel armoured forms of the Dwarves of Stonebridge their shields carrying the image of a stone warhammer surrounded by a wreath of Redweed. An elderly dwarf stands before them armed with the same hammer and dressed in gold and silver armour and a great shield, parts of her overlayed memories tell her this is Gillibran Ironhelm the III.
Directly before her is a somewhat smaller force within are the grey and silver maille clad dwarves of Mirewater, wielding black iron crossbows and unkempt black cloaks. Before them stands a wide black bearded dwarf with an unfriendly expression, again she recalls this to be Lord Tharri ' Rancibrawn' Ugenther.
To her right is a rather unruly force of rough looking dwarves, judging from their shields a conglomeration of Clan Tornhelm and Clan Battleaxe, though the later seem to be dressed more like Herman than like their fellows. A number of Dwarves in ancient looking plate armour ( familiar to those who delved into the dwarven ruins) stand in formation behind a broadshouldered female dwarf whose shield bears the twin symbols of Throff and The Shadow King.
King Ironhelm looks up at her words, " I don't remember asking for any divine intervention? And our Mothers servants are usually a little stonier in nature."
" Careful with that light, the drake is about somewhere....."
In Dwarfish: "Greetings King Ironhelm, Dwarves of Redwood, Lord Tharri and those of Firewater. I even see the brave warriors of Clan Tornhelm and Battleaxe. An impressive showing even by my standards." She inclines her head and bows. "Indeed, you did not ask for divine intervention but perhaps some friends could be of help to you. I bring with me the Heroes of Chalice, whom you have met before."
“It is Dee Heroes Of Chalice who have defeated Zagor and overthrown his hold on Firetop.” She looks at all assembled. “I may be able to heal some of Dee wounded if you wish, but your clans must make an oath to work together to resolve this peacefully.”
Tzedaka will look to see if any significant leaders have fallen.
Herman steps is, even if the look is not downward towards the dwarves but upwards, with his pupils ominously vacous and opaque.
He says in Dwarvish:
" GREETING, DWARF LORDS, OUR DESTINY WILL BE SOON UPON US, STAY AT THE READY."
And the in common
"" How did you hit the dragon? Did he say anything before attacking? How did he attack?"
Abandoning his communion Herman addresses the assembled armies.
Most of the dwarves look impressed at his command of their language.
Rancibrawn is the first to answer, " With bolt and ballista, though the ballista are all smashed now. Say? Do worms speak?"
He looked nonplussed for a moment as some of the older dwarves nodded, " Aye."
" Well, he didnae! And he attacked with flame and claw and tail and wing.......to good effect.........", he finished sadly regarding the tattered flotsam upon the field.

Tzedaka will look to see if any significant leaders have fallen.
There are many wounded among the ranks, some seem to be better armoured than others......the dead all still lie out in the field ungathered....
King Ironhelm looks towards Rancibrawn and the woman and rubs his chin, " The Dwarves of Stonebridge give their word......for our part...."
The woman looks up at Tzedaka suspiciously, " Earth and Bone witness you Scalebearer. Domalda Ossis of the Battleaxe gives her and her ancestors word. I speak also for Tornhelm in this place"
Tzedaka acknowledges the leaders pledge. Then looks at Rancibrawn. “For now king Rancibrawn, I suggest you put aside your differences with King Ironhelm so that we may proceed. Lest the dragon use this split to his advantage.”
Tzedaka smiles at the king. Then shakes her head in sadness. Then too herself she says in old dwarvish, (different voice)“and the age of dwarves will come to an end as they go deeper into their caves and lose all contact with those above.” Then she looks at the assembled group and smiles brightly.
“Libra has seen your actions here, and justice will reward you.”
“As a reward to you all, If you each gather two of your warriors in need of healing, I can tend to some of their wounds.”(Aura of vitality, can heal 10 warriors 2d6+5)
Tzedaka’s voice becomes louder. ”However, Head my warning.” Greed makes a person blind and foolish, and makes them an easy prey for death.
Tannin after getting shot at, for foolishly buzzing the dwarves lands a distance away, then, walks to his friends, with hood up and wings formed around him like a cloak.
Banzo calls out to the dwarves while scanning the smoke-filled skies for any sign of the drake, "Do you see it? Which way was it last flying? Any warning before it attacks, a screech, growl, or roar... or even a flap of it's leathery wings?"
Banzo will then look, listen, and await any signs of the drake's return from behind the cover of the overturned wagon.
Perception: 12

Rancibrawn muttered, " I don't live in a feckin' cave...", but his demeanour mellowed as some of his fellows were healed of their wounds.
King Ironhelm looked up and then about at the others, " So what is the guidance of the Heroes of Chalice? Its been many centuries since we've fought a Worm and we're not having a great deal of luck."
Tannin after getting shot at, for foolishly buzzing the dwarves lands a distance away, then, walks to his friends, with hood up and wings formed around him like a cloak.
Whether or not any of the dwarves mark his disguise none of them seem to react to it, they need all the allies they can get currently.

Domalda cocked her head at Banzo as if trying to work out what he was, " The Worm is on the ground currently.....and I think not too far away.....probably back towards the mountain. Its first attack was silent but for the roar of flame washing over us.......but it growled and roared quite a bit while it was smashing us to pieces...."
Banzo joins Tzedaka and Herman as they go to talk with the drake that just attacked three contingents of dwarves.
"Perhaps it was slumbering while we were in the mountain or maybe we were lucky and just didn't encounter it but none of that matters much now, it's awake and hungry. Do you think it's in the mood to talk?"

" The Heroes of Chalice. We meet again."
" I received your missive but it seems others had eyes in my court as well...", he glances across to Rancibrawn.
" We were planning on waiting for you before launching an expedition but our neighbours somewhat forced our hand."
Rancibrawn scoffed, " Its as much ours as yours and you know it."
The well built woman amongst the Tornhelms and Battleaxes stepped forward, " Quite."
" The drake is wounded but we've lost more than three quarters of our number......"
Hermans trance continued.....

””direct battle has been tried but not diplomacy. perchaps we can go speak with chin”
We are after all dee ones who freed chim from his captivity.
Herman smirks
there! I really wanna SEE this: talking with a dragon! great idea Tzedaka!
He realises his eyes are witholut expression from the scrying, so he adds
I am not joking, let's go, we might save some hundreds lives of good soldiers, it is worth a try
Banzo joins Tzedaka and Herman as they go to talk with the drake that just attacked three contingents of dwarves.
"Perhaps it was slumbering while we were in the mountain or maybe we were lucky and just didn't encounter it but none of that matters much now, it's awake and hungry. Do you think it's in the mood to talk?"
we will soon find out, follow me
He says resolutely but blankly staring in front of him, he starts to walk forward, guided by the scrying spell
