"Elspith, I vill ask you two questions. Vone now..... and vone after de Cheroes speak with you." She holds out her small soft hand to the elf, (like a grandmother comforting a young child, the calmness of heroism provided by her touch)
"Tell me vhat you know of Zagor?" she says simply. Encouraging the elf to be open and honest.

(Shalana, Enwynn, Tzedaka all injured)
" Zagor? Insane, powerful....pays well. He's building a new body...something to do with elemental magics....I'm not sure exactly."
" He's got a whole bustle of Chaos worshippers and beasts, a bunch of goblinoids and some beasties....but I didn't see much of them..."
" It was just a job, admittedly it changed a lot since my initial hire and my workmates were generally insane or indiscriminantly violent, Groll was ok....I mean evil..but not a dick about it...I needed the money and I didn't want to die....cos that happened if you tried to quit."
Tzedaka smiles and actually seems surprised. "I thank you for your candor, my new friend." She rises, "I vill go halp de others now vhil you a Garroot catch up" She winks at her. "We vill talk soon."
She heads over to the others to inspect the bodies and talk with Banzo, Herman, Enwynn.
Garet passed an awkward smile of thanks to Tzedeka.
"Cutter, that is a name I haven't heard in a long time." Garet mused a wry lopsided smile largely unseen by his companions passed across his lips.
"Eld..Elspeth.. " Garet stumbled over the unfamiliar name "Last I heard you had been taken by slavers and we all know that they don't take captives"
"As for myself rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated." He said with mock bravado.
He drew closer though an said in a quite tone."My death is a cover story circulated by Master Thief Rannik to protect me from reprisals from the Kobassi brothers." Garet sighed deeply.
"There are few in Allansia that know this and my trusting you with this is a sign of good faith. I try these days to walk in the light, but the shadows of the past are deep and night falls."
"If there is anything else you can do to help then I urge you to try and n my word if there is anything I can do I pledge I will."
Ooc Me and Herman are injured too but the others are priority, I have a healing blade perhaps that stuck into Fun Guy with Enwynns skills may cure them.
Tzedaka touches Tannin. "I see your mercy." She pauses, "If you show love to your eenimies, perhaps they can be redeemed and find love in their heart."
Tzedaka assesses the damage to the Heroes of Chalice. Herman, Garet, Enwynn Shalana. Her almost invisible wings disappear.
She does a quiet prayer to her mother in celestial, thanking her for her protection and favor during their battle. "Ven you are ready, she says to no one in particular, "I vill cheal all."
She goes to Herman. "I thank you for your bravery and protection in de battle. I vas overtaken." She gives him a purple thistle flower. "You are my Chero and protector, and you chav my favor." She smiles at him radiantly.
Quite the opposite, strange angel. you have been our protector, you played the bait and risked your life. Coming to help was the least I could do

Woman, the mushroom guy is well tied up, if he tries something silly he will meet the end fo the others.
I don't care if Cutter (later you will explain this...Cutter), I was saying: I don't care if you know Cutter, we overheard you: you were going to...hunt...for an elf for Zagor...
And them come on...

I did it just for money, THEY were the crazy baddies, ue ue ue...
bullshit! you had a choice and you did not care as long as the pay was good, wasn't it?
Now, Tzedaka said none of us will harm you...fine....mh, fine...
we have no proff you are to blame for Anvil's people missing but, I wonder, if we bring you to town, will they be so gentle as my friend Tzedaka here?
Herman talks to the companions, still keeping eyes fixed on the woman:
She cannot just go easy like this, no no: she fought well but she lost: to me she is a prisoner. If she replies well, with hands tied behind his back and removed of all magic trinkets and weapons, she might even be released
If the companions (and the woman) do not oppose, he move behind her back and takes a rope to tie her hands
"Oh, Herman. A rope is not needed now." She smiles and looks at the barbarian. "Elspeth's information about Zagor is of treemenus (she tries to sound out the word) value to me." She looks at the group. "Ve do not chave time to take her to Anvil to be judged, and the people der do not know her, thus judgement would be unfair." She tries to calm Herman. (As she speaks, she seems to start calm but become more and more aggitated).
"Libra knows all that Elspeth has done. Your friend, Garet was once doing bad in de vorld. Chow is it that he has changed and is chero?"
Her voice starts to rise a bit, and her 5 foot tall stature seems taller for such a small person.
"Herman, you fight with honor. You now carry my favor. Ven an opponent yields, treat dem with honor. Learn to love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those that curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. Your actions on the battle field reflect on me now."
"Herman, Heed my words, listen to my wisdom, and find forgiveness and mercy in your cheart" she pleads.
Her eyes turn white and glow, her voice, supernaturally loud.
"I am not chere for Elspeth, I am chere for Zagor!"
She turns and starts to walk away, to perhaps cool off.
Enwynn sighs and mutters "For the love of Erillia, why do I always get the jobs no one else wants to touch? Unbindable, uncontrollable and infested..." to herself as she steps back and calculates how much of a body one small vial of clove oil will cover, wondering if that's enough to kill an infestation this far advanced in combination with healing magic.
"Clove oil, what else? Salt? Maybe. Aha, sunlight!"she says to herself as she pensively looks over to the blade on Garet's hip.
It also occurs to her that she is quite possibly wasting time and putting her comrades in terrible danger every second the mushroom man still breathes, but it goes against her grain to kill a sleeping captive, however horrifying they appear to be, and however likely they are to turn tail and run back to Zagor bearing tales in verminous form the moment they awake.
The argument between Herman and Tzedaka drags her attention away from a decision she loathes having to make, and not being able to consult with Corwyn about it easily while he stays safely hidden in the shrubbery.
Her voice is pitched to carry to both the petite priestess of Libra and the wolfish barbarian's ears as she warns "The more we fight among ourselves over this, the less gets done about it. We don't have the time to argue like an entire academy of mages!" then looks to Elsbeth as she asks "So what were you drinking from that goblet earlier? Was that your own powers on show, or a bit of artificer work? And which one of your former comrades was Dravich? How did they control the fungal one?", all the while never taking her eyes from watching the ruins of a druid for the slightest sign of wakefulness.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the wise Enwynn speaks, it seems to calm the feisty women. She heads over to Enwynn to see if she can assist. “men!” She says, not needing to say more

" The Kobassi.....nasty, But with this lot at your back I don't think your in much danger from them these days."
" Slavers. Yep, wound up in a sweat shop for a time til someone, who shall remain nameless, burned it down...."
" I think it was one of Azzurs business interests originally....not sure who it belonged to now."
" Anyway I scarpered to Fang, did some lifting and burgling for a spell then word came that Zagor was back and hiring and paying damn well."
" Weird crew but most of them were all right at first, bit of highway robbery and plundering ruins for artifacts Zags wanted. But then he had us kidnapping folks, I'd assumed slaves or ransoms but apparently he's using them to build a new body for himself."
" You know me, I'm not above stealing and threatening and even a bit of wet-work among those in the business but this wasn't really my jam."
" Thing is.....over the last month or so most of the more.....well balanced....team members have been going missing....Zags is adding Beast Men, Death Cultists and Chaos Cultists to the crews....even that Mirewater dwarf was getting nervous. We were going to try and scarper after this raid."
" Your friends are right though, I may have stumbled in over my head but I had my eyes open the whole time."
She lets herself be tied up by Herman with a grim nod, " Take my cloak and this ring....they'll help protect you."
Elspeth looks back and forth between Garet and Herman, " Much as I'd like to agree with your guardian angel I'll take judgement over forgiveness. Makes a nice even break and theres naught left owing."
" Though if theres a blade in the offing I'll take the forgiveness.", she gave a slight grin.
Enwynn sighs and mutters "For the love of Erillia, why do I always get the jobs no one else wants to touch? Elspeth turned her face towards Ennwyn, " Drinking? Oh, a very dodgy elderberry wine. A little trick of mine, lifting small things with a thought and such."
" Dravich? The Chaos Cultist. Mad as a cut snake but he could infiltrate your mind and scramble it.....most of the time I don't think he realised he was doing it....but he could point....him....it...in the right direction though whether he controlled the man or the mushrooms I'm not sure."

“And vhat do we have here?”
perception with guidance 232
As Ennwyn and Tzedaka examine the fungal druid they both conclude that there is likely not enough man left to survive removal of the fungus.
The little woman, again storms over to Elspeth. "No, no no." She looks at Garet, hoping for his support.
"You chave a choice here, and one of us murdering you is not wone of them."
She takes a breath.
"My second question."
"Do you choose to go to Zagor and warn chim that we are coming, OR do you choose to chelp restore Anvil's peace and safety, thereby restoring balance for your actions?" (Restorative justice)
Enwynn nods in thanks to Elspeth for her swift replies, saying only "Fungi are mysterious, even to one who understands forests from crown to roots, so I could not tell you myself."
As the exasperated Priestess approaches, Enwynn quietly replies "Indeed." with a flicker of a smile in sympathy to Tzedaka. She adds in utter seriousness "I am grateful for your wisdom in this case. I hesitate to offer final mercy unless there is no hope of a cure."
When it is concluded that there is not enough man left within the mushrooms to save, the elf nods in regretful agreement and offers "Then fire is their path to the gods. Thank you, I will see that it is done."
As the druidess gathers oil and dry rags from her pack to further fuel her spell's fire, she looks back to the group and asks "It will be done swifter if Garet will assist me for a moment."
OOC: I figure a Produce Flame needs extra fuel to burn hot enough to kill quickly enough to qualify for mercy and Garet's blade would help hasten the process.

" Yeah....sorry about that.", Elspeth said lamely.
