As the rest of the group catches up with the scouts, gives Herman a small quartz rock. As she hands it to him, it begins to glow and gentle yellowish orange. (Light cantrip, you touch one object that is no larger than 10 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, the object sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. The light can be colored as you like. Completely covering the object with something opaque blocks the light., lasts 1 hour )
"Keep dis covered unless it grows to dark for you to see. I can make light on other tings as well, such as your weapon, or clothing."
When they come to the skeleton, she is very interested in it and begins to investigate
( The skeleton appears to be a male human but with subtle hints of perhaps a touch of goblin ancestry, there is no way to tell whether he was a defender or invader of the mountain, the body is at least a decade old and the equipment is servicable though not high quality....seems to have died from a wound through the lower ribs...perhaps went to the alcove to try and rest and died here........no has distrubed the body since.)
"Do not open des doors until we speak with dis chero. His spirit was strong in life."
Tzedaka takes out some herbs and flowers, and ignites them with sacred flame (radiant). As the gentle fragrant smokes rises, she holds the skeletons hand. She speaks in celestial quietly. Her eyes turn white and she seems lost in her spell, then in common "Gather cheroes and join me in greeting this warrior back from the dead. I apologize for awaking you from your slumber and call on you to help fellow cheroes in their quest, great warrior of olde, we are friends, we are here to release you from this evil place"(Speak with dead)
(Initial Questions: 1) tell us about yourself and mission here, (2)where do these doors and corridors lead, 3 any weakness of Zagor or his minions
As Tzedaka finishes her prayer the corpse suddenly lurches upright looking around with sightless eyes.
" I am Yannik Quick-Eye. Warder of the 1st gate and 2nd in command of the orc guards. We protect this entrance of the mountains from intruders. That little woman stabbed me."
" Three doors. Storeroom for the paintings. Storeroom for the least treasures. Commanders quarters."
" Corridors go on to goblin warrens and the second gate."
" Weaknesses? The Master is all powerful. Pay the Ferryman. The Barbarians will do anything for mushrooms."
"Maybe ask Yannik how many gates there are in total?"
Banzo moves to the middle door and after looking up and down the tunnel checks the bottom to see how sturdy the bottom of the door is.
"Who knows what is meant by lesser treasures but I say it's worth a look."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Enwynn is both repulsed and yet fascinated by the dead guard's rising to reply to Tzedaka's queries, and she watches Yannik intently as she listens in silence, the difficulty of reading a dead creature's expression defeating her attempt to discern if they may be lying in any part of their answers.
It takes some effort of will for the elf not to correct Yannik on the matter of their former master being 'all powerful'.
Enwynn nods her head in unspoken agreement with Tzedaka's warning.
"Yannik Quick Eye, I am sure you received your name for a good reason and I know you are most observant, to be a guard of the 1st gate. I would have had you in a higher command for your skeels." She winks at Garet, taking some of her cues from her sneaky friend, "As my final question to you, and den I vill allow you to rest again, tell us of the traps you have seen in dis place and how to bypass them."
"Where should we bury him? Surely not here, forgotten and abandoned beneath the mountain in a dank, dark tunnel?"
Banzo looks back the way they came.
"Perhaps somewhere on the surface, under the wide and expansive sky, where his spirit can soar free?"

" Traps........there are not many traps in this section as the goblins kept setting them off. There is a dusty room a little further on, I'm not sure if its a trap as such...but don't let the door close behind you...the weapons there are angry."
The body went rigid again and collapsed back against the wall.
Garet smiles his crooked smile back at Tzedaka, he had sat back a little overawed by the breath of the mountain stronghold, and let the more charismatic individuals lead the questioning.
The doors interested him most as an ex Thief the locked door was like a challenge its contents forbidden fruit. He was also sure that during their quest their would be items or allies crucial to their success hidden in the mountain.

(Are we all together now? If so, old skeleton may know about the old doors)

(Perception: race, clothing how old, weapons, etc: 22 + guidance: 1)
She looks at the group and quietly says, "It may be useful for us to speak with dis one. Vould you like me do talk to him?"

( Only 5 questions.)
(Sorry, didn't see that.....Re wrote it, starting with 3questions)
On examination of skeleton and prior to spell, Any personal belongings, ring, jewelry, map, insignia on armor or weapons??
As Tzedaka finishes her prayer the corpse suddenly lurches upright looking around with sightless eyes.
" I am Yannik Quick-Eye. Warder of the 1st gate and 2nd in command of the orc guards. We protect this entrance of the mountains from intruders. That little woman stabbed me."

Nothing. It may have been looted by its killer? No insignia.
“I thank you for your answers Yannik quick eye.”
Tzedaka looks at the others. “We have two more questions for chim”
"Maybe ask Yannik how many gates there are in total?"
Banzo moves to the middle door and after looking up and down the tunnel checks the bottom to see how sturdy the bottom of the door is.
"Who knows what is meant by lesser treasures but I say it's worth a look."
“Yannik, what is the safest way with the least gates to get to the main chamber vere Zagor resides?”
(to the heroes, shaking her head at Banzo as he looks at the door) “please don’t upset our friend. He took his job very seriously”
Enwynn is both repulsed and yet fascinated by the dead guard's rising to reply to Tzedaka's queries, and she watches Yannik intently as she listens in silence, the difficulty of reading a dead creature's expression defeating her attempt to discern if they may be lying in any part of their answers.

Enwynn nods her head in unspoken agreement with Tzedaka's warning.
" As far as I know? This way....but I was only allowed as far as the river."
“We have one more question for my friend and then I vill allow him back to his eternal slumber”, the curious little woman winks.

"Then, we should give him his last rites and burry him"
