Lindale found one more Antitoxin among the goods (you never know when you might need some) but other than that spent the evening quietly in her room, should one be awaylable - it was a long day.
Hatch would attempt to make pleasant conversation with Leewinnette over drinks, asking her what her job in the mining operation was, how she got into mining, and how she liked the town and people. He'd also ask about the silver helmed dwarf and the severe human woman, since they seemed to be important around here.
Just before or after breakfast Banzo will summon his osprey from it's pocket dimension. (might as well start using my familiar before I forget all about it... lol)
The bird perches on his bed head keeping watch throughout the night.

Hatch discovers:
- Leewinette began not in mining but in engineering but transferred across when she was hired by her former employer who was killed last year in a cave in, she was elected as his replacement and now serves as Foreperson and occasionally supervises construction projects in the town.
- She likes the town just fine, people are rough but decent and everyone treats her with respect which is better than she had back in Port Blacksand.
- Silver Helm is Jaspar Kelmar, a wealthy and important Dwarf originally from Stonebridge, he is fair but rather full of himself.
- Hazel Burnbridge is originally from Silverton and is rumoured to have left a trail of destroyed husbands in her wake in order to build up her portfolio, but she's not afraid to get her hands dirty and muck in so Leewinette has nothing bad to say about her.
He eventually retires to bed, alone, and wakes the next morning well rested though with a fading dream about being adrift in a ship made of bones on a vast ocean of acid, bile and phlegm.
When the companions come out in the morning they are greeted by about 30 miners with Jaspar and Leewinnette out front and two wagons of supplies beside them.
"Morning. I don't know much about mining, but it looks like you're well prepared for closing that cave up one way or another. We'll clear out the bandits guarding it so you can work safe, but it still might be smart to get it done fast. No telling if they're in regular enough communication with their fellows that someone might take notice."
Hatch was definitely in a hurry to get the cave closed quickly. He'd rather not give them time to get back up.
"So, same plan as we came up with yesterday? Booby trap the gulley with some pit traps and lure some of the elves out to us? Then clear out the cave of any that stayed behind?" he asked his friends.
"The elf might be gone as well, they were loading ore to transport it after all. But I guess we will find out soon enough." Lindale was ready to another heroic deed.
Leewinnette nodded, " No need to worry about that, we're not going anywhere near there until you lot have done your thing....we'll wait well up the gully."

This time Lindale did not transform on the open. She would suggest to leave miners as far from the future battle-field as possible, move as close to the entrance of the cave as she dared, and only then turn into a wolf-spider again. The spider climbed up to the ceiling again and tried to quietly went inside.

Lindale silently crept along the ceiling and noted the same creatures chained there and two different Dark Elves watching the entrance with slightly bored expressions.
"So, will we try to set up a battlefield to our advantage, or go fight them in their cave?" Hatch asked, curious what his companions thought the plan was here.
Lindale returned with report, at first trying to communicate as a spider - by the crude drawings on the ground (cave, two creatures at the entrance - two drow inside).
"For a scary wolf spider that's kind of adorable," Hatch said, bemused by Lindale's antics even if he didn't quite understand what she was trying to tell them.

"I think we can draw them out, after all we know something they probably want to keep hidden - namely that they're the bandits and they're coming here through that cave," Hatch said in answer to Banzo's question. "After all, they don't know that bit of information has already been exposed, so if we have someone speedy seem to 'stumble' into their secret lair and then noticeably scream and run away to presumably tell the whole town about what he or she has discovered, they'd probably want to chase that person down and silence them permanently."
Hatch looked around. "If we can booby trap this area, fix the environment a bit so they're likely to fall in our traps, get our ranged fighters set-up in a good position, I'm sure that will help quite a bit. Then we go into the cave and clear out those who didn't take the bait. So, set up traps, get a volunteer to lure them here, and then do the deed."
With that Hatch would, with help, set to getting the battlefield prepared.

"Works for me, let us regroup in the morning." Brocc agrees.
"Where might we rest then until the morning? And would you care to join me for a drink?" Hatch asked.
" Bargecrews quarters near the dock. Sure, why not?", Leewinette said.
( Can eat, rest, chat and purchase most basic items.
I'll do a 'next morning' post tonight so post anything you want to do this evening before then.)

Brocc would turn in, so he is well-rested come the morning.

Brocc also has a deep and peaceful slumber.

"We'll have to see if anything changed there before making too many decisions." Brocc says with a shrug, ready to head back to the cave.
Leewinnette nodded, " No need to worry about that, we're not going anywhere near there until you lot have done your thing....we'll wait well up the gully."
" Ready to go?"
With everything and everyone seemingly ready, Hatch marched towards the gully and cave with everyone else.
