"I agree with the gnome, we are each risking our lives equally here, so we should split any treasure equally among ourselves. Assuming we survive that is," Hatch said, helping put things into the bag.
"Should we have someone strong carry the bag for convenience, or give it to a ranged fighter who will hang in the back for safety?"
More earth and stone fell from the roof and somewhere in the distnce there was a loud crash above as more of the castle ruins tumbled down....raining stone over the earth below....
Tom chuckles at Connar's desire to have the quartz - Tom couldn't care less about the treasure, he came from an uber wealthy family and has ran away from the privileged life to seek adventure, not riches.
The moonshine on the other hand gets Tom's attention.
"Yeah, sure, I'm happy to hang on to the bag guys."
(I've added the bag and all of its contents to my inventory to be split up once we are done.)
"Jesus this place doesn't sound very safe. Shall we keep moving?"
"Seems to be falling away around us." Brocc agrees. He would head back out and glance down the two passages. "Anyone have a idea of which way to head?" He asks the group.
"Well, if the sounds coming down that hallway is any indication, we'll be in for a fight down that way...but that probably means it's the right direction in a dungeon such as this," Hatch said, agreeing with the others to head in that direction.
The companions made their way down the corridor towards the strange muffled sounds, the corridor came to a leftward corner and as the companions turned it they saw the corridor continuing on was lined on both sides by a series of solid wooden doors.
Best not leave them unchecked." Brocc says with a glance to the doors. "Don't want something sneaking up behind us after all..." He moves to the first door and checks to see if it is locked.
The first four doors ( 2 each side of the corridor ) are checked.
There is nothing heard behind any of the doors.
Brocc determines that his door like the others is fastened from the outside by a simple wooden bar, if lifted the door would swing open.
Thom hears nothing and decides to open the door, he immediately regrets his decision.....the room within is crowded with about 3-4 dozen skeletons packet in like sardines, they stand motionless.
Thom steps back a little but then notes that the skeletons haven't reacted to him, he sees that the same green glow is behind their eyes but it is very dull compared to the ones that attacked earlier.
Hatch wanted to tell Thom to close and lock the door back slowly and carefully, but frankly he was too worried these things might be voice activated and start attacking on hearing any living sound. He just hoped they wouldn't react and everyone would be quiet and careful.
Further down the corridor from these four doors the companions can see another six doors, three to a side, the next set of doors down however was different. The one to the left was ajar and the one to the right had two bars across it....it was where the noises were coming from...a feral sort of moaning and an occasional thud on the door...
The four doors beyond them seemed similar to the ones they had already investigated.

Connar, still grumbling, only points a sword down the right hallway. "At least it doesn't smell."

Torinn just shrugs "Sounds as good as any hallway to head down. Though I'd be concerned why it doesn't smell."

With a shrug Brocc turns down the tunnel indicated.

Connar is going to try to see if the noises are coming from the other of the doors. He places a ear on one of the doors. (Perception: 14 )

"Agreed, Brocc."
Thom will also go ahead and take a listen with his ear against one of the doors that Connar and Brocc have not checked yet. Perception 18
If he hears nothing, he will go ahead and try to open it.
Hatch decided he may as well help make sure no monsters were behind doors waiting to surprise them too. Seemed like the smart thing to do.
Perception: 4
(If anything comes out of the doors, we'll all be caught with our ears up against them lol :))

brocc would open his door if it is not locked. If he sees the same as his companion, skeletons, he would close it again.

He sees the very same thing.

"I vote for leaving that one closed." Brocc says, nodding to the door with the thudding coming from it. He checks the door that is open already.
