Sufficiently warmed by his time near the hearth and fortified by the wine, Yuri moves to join Griff at the table as he discusses matters with the adventurers gathered there.
As he moves, Yuri keeps scanning the room for Carro or Beag. He also scans the crowd as always for any silver haired maidens, his obsession with one in particular having ingrained this habit as second nature as breathing.
As he joins Griff at the table, he greets the adventurers, "Fair evening to you all! I am Yuri. I for one am truely grateful to be away from the wind and the rain. I am pleased to make your acquaintance this evening." As he, finishes speaking he flashes his disarming and friendly smile and in the spirit of comraderie reaches up to pat Griff on the shoulder as he joins the conversation.
Griff bows his head slightly at the news from the adventurer. "I'm sorry for your losses. I fear its a minimal gesture, but let me buy a round for your group. I know well the perils that can come from such work, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with."
Seeing Yuri approaching, "Yuri, this fine group has just returned from a rather challenging job for our friend Carro. They are expecting Baeg to return shortly. Yuri, meet...." Griff trails off, realizing he had never properly introduced himself to the group.
"Apologies, I never properly introduced myself. I am Griff, and this one of my companions, Yuri. Carro traveled with our group for awhile before settling here. She had a requested we come to town here to help with some sort of problem she was having. Details were sparse."
"No....thank you," Danathan pushes the ales away. "I'm in no mood for company either," he adds giving Jophyra a hard look now that says 'back off' before returning to his brooding.
Elsewhere in the tavern.......
"Yes, introductions of course," the gnome exclaims with a soften expression looking over sadly towards Danathan. "Well your elven companion has found poor Danathan Geddrick. He's our ranger friend who's lost his wolf companion to the hag. Simply burned to nothing before us." They all pause raising a cup before returning to softer spirits. "Then this is Tierney McCabe," she pauses at a human man who looks grizzly but gives Griff and Yuri a respectful nod. He's a fighter for sure. He wears pockmarked scale mail armor, carries a big blade sheathed on his back as well as a shield near his feet the heraldry however is obscured by years of use! "That is Holiday Celaeno," she gestures to half elven woman in deep crimson robes. Her skin is slightly ashen as if Drow may linger in her bloodline and puzzles over the group through large piercing violet eyes. She smiles nodding to the group as her eyes then linger curiously on Yuri. The half-elf has no visible weapons but an owl then flutters down from the rafters to settle on her shoulder. "But I'm Ruthie Swiftfoot," the gnome finishes touching her well-worn leather armor with daggers on her hips...."in all this calamity," she says sighing, "it seems we'll all make new friends and enemies," she trails off looking towards the doors of the tavern that swing open as a group of red and purple skinned tieflings, young ones, come into the tavern bully people from a table then sit down.
Seconds later Beag finally walks in. He's arm is bandages and he looks like he's be tossed in mud recently. The halfling eyes the group of tieflings who walked into the tavern before rejoining his party barely noticing the additions!
"There's no proof yet but they did it...one of them has Carro's displacer cloak she made not a month ago on their grubby shoulders and even it was too rich for lesser Mardoons..." He trails off wiping the mud from his face and eyes on a rag that Ruthie offers! "Who...Griff and Yuri," he exclaims next surprised and pleased before his mood darkens. "You took too long to get here! Carro's now missing too," he hisses at them quietly with a glare of his beady halfling eyes one with a scar bisecting it so it's milky white!
Yuri nods to each member of the party as Ruthie introduces them. He flashes a smile at Holiday in response to her subtle scrutiny.
He awaits for Beag to be seated before addressing him. Yuri says, "We were delayed by the twice accursed rain. What mean you Carro has gone missing? As I recall, nothing escapees your gaze for long, friend Beag. And what mean you as well? Who else is missing?" Yuri grabs an empty chair & pulls up to the party's table.
OOC: Trying to give Lokethos some response time but we'll move on.
"It's been about a month now of folk disappearing. First it was the alchemist at the apothecary then the blacksmith's apprentice known for his tinkering with those new noisy arms the Mardoons have been attempting to broker out of town! Now I come back and Carro's missing too," Beag says frowning deeply. "They've asked her to enchant the guns before but she refused...now I fear they've taken her captive to do it," he says explaining all his suspicions in a low tone to the party.
Jophyra looks over the crowd of four tieflings, three red and one purple skinned youth in they're early twenties or late teens. They're flashy dress and general air of superiority is presence around them. They make demands of the tavern staff and even goad the bards to play a different song before settling on conversation amongst themselves. Jophyra is sure the Landlocked Lady is far too hard a place for these punks and smirks at the sort in that tarven who'd they tried to intimidate! She then notices the purple skinned tiefling is female. The girl strokes and hugs the cloak around her shoulders as the three red tieflings with her, all male, seem to hang on her every word vying for her attention!

Yuri lowers his head, concern for his missing former comrade apparent on his face. He eyes delve into the mug of mulled wine as if it safeguards the secret to this quandary.
Finally after a moment of reflection, Yuri looks up at Beag. Yuri says, "If the Mardoon's have taken her, then by the gods we make them give her back. Where would they place her or the others? If they were being forced to work on something, they would need a safe and secure location to work from. The Mardoon's would want complete control of the traffic in and out of the location. Perhaps one of their business fronts or a warehouse would suffice." Yuri becomes more animated as he speaks. His mind already envisioning the location and the sorry state of Carro's likely lodging.
He thinks to himself, "A child of the street may rise above living on the street; but one never forgets those hard lessons learned in such an environment."
Yuri says, "We should move quickly to eliminate possible locations where she and the others might be kept."
After giving the drinks to Jophyra and Danathan, Lokethos regrouped with the rest of the group getting the message from Jophyra’s eyes that there was no information to be found there. After hearing word that Carro has been taken, he begins to mutter under his breath, pondering his skills to see if he knows anything that could help. After a short moment of thinking, he says “I could get a short message to Carro, and a short response, if we believe that could help. I’m thinking I would offer assurance and see if she has any idea where she’s been taken, and why. Is there anything else any of you would want to say to her or ask her before I cast my spell?”
"They've got plenty of businesses and places to choose from, your guess is as good as mine! I just know where most of the builds are," Beag replies to Yuri with a frown. "I'm still recovering from my wounds I sustained during our bout with the hag..." he adds favoring his bow arm that's bandaged up. "It's late but scouting a bit might be something we could if you don't mind a little rain," he adds motioning to the front door of the tavern as a loud crack of lightning strikes outside along with a rumble of thunder.

She's a mage and was constantly in Carro's shop. Carro caught her stealing more than once," Beag explains to Jophyra.

You seek your rest from your recent venture. We will continue to narrow down a location where they may be keeping Carro, hopefully with the others who are missing as well. Until next we meet. May your wits and blades be sharp and your enemies slow."
Yuri turns to Beag, "You are more familiar with this cess pool of a town. Where you think it's best to look, we four will go check out. The rain will obscure our movements. While we seek out signs of Carro, you can rest. Know that if we find some sign, we alert you as soon as possible."
"Yes, of course. I think I'd try the shipping warehouse just around the corner. Then the outer buildings going towards Lord Anselm manor," Beag explains. "It's on the north side of town," he gestures toward the only road north out of town he adds.
Ruthie looks at the party with a set jaw. "Good luck. Please be on your guard," she adds hauling Beag from his chair as the party then disappears upstairs with Danathan trailing behind but disappearing outside into the rain.
