"So what exactly is our next move here. We've got a rock with strange markings and some sort of alteration on the ground. Should we push forward or does someone want to poke around at the ground?"
Erdot and Jocelyn were the highest. The rest of you begin to loose focus on your journey, the sounds of birds, bees, and other small animals lull you into your own minds. Erdot and Jocelyn stay vigilant and it pays off. As you two walk you notice the sounds of the forest slowly quiet, and you see a shape move behind a tree about 50ft away. You turn to look but see nothing. After more walking, you hear the bushes behind you shake, and you turn just in time to see something dive into the bushes on the opposite side.
This would be normal, if it weren't dead quiet in the forest, you come across a thick cluster of bushes, shaking in the wind, in a small clearing in the bushes is a body. You all then realize...there is no wind.
"Interesting..." Folwyn inspects the groove, trying to figure out what it is. Investigation 10
Your not sure, alot of stuff in a forest could make this.

"I say we should continue forward. If this is supposed to be some kind of a trail left behind, it does continue on down the path."
"Let's git goin' then"
"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."

(Man, so many perception checks. Maybe we can just give you all our passive perceptions, and you can go off those sometimes? If so, Folwyn is 12)

((There is going to be a lot, and trust me, you want to do checks, but since we are on pbp we will go with the rolls you get know.))

(ok, i'll keep that in mind. Maybe I'm just not used to a ton of checks.)
