"That must be enough for the monster," quietly commented Taviel the nauseating display and returned to escorting the eggs. They would need to send word to Harpers and talk with the wizards on Greenest (there had to be at least one there) how to handle the precious cargo. The last cultist could probably make a good prisoner. Or may be not, Taviel did not care that much.
Now she was waiting with others, concentrating on mental search of Nodwick - he had to answer once he get within 1 mile.
(More post later, but just wanted to remind you that Germain killed the prisoner)

(This was a different prisoner, and not really a prisoner. It was the passed-out-drunk cultists you found on your way out of the complex, one in the treasure room that had only 16 GP of treasure left in it.)
As much as a fruitless deed this will be, Naroth will tie up the drunkard and bring him along with us back to Greenest. "I doubt this idiot knows anything, but he might and I am sure the Harpers will want to have a chat with him. I will take care of him on the way back." Naroth will check with the leader of Greenest to make sure there was nothing else they could do for the town and then will suggest we head back to the Dwarf in the Inn. Talk to him and let him know what has been going on and then make our decision on which direction to go from there.
The town's leader thanks you and asks if there was anything you had found from the town in your trip to the cult's camp. "Any treasure you could recover would help us immeasurable, we will have a hard time getting our town back up and rebuilt as it is, more funds would always help."
He also reminds you again that the monk is waiting for you in Elturel, and has purchased you mounts for the trip there.
(I believe Taviel and Toc had their own horses. And Nodwick had a mule)
We recovered from the chest: a string of pearls (300 gp), a gold-and-sapphire ring (900 gp), and a pouch containing a half-dozen masterfully cut and polished precious stones (100 gp each). Do we return it?
"We have a request," said Taviel before they even unloaded the eggs: "You must have a capable priest in the town. Our comrade died on the service to Greenest. Can you bring him back?"
"I am truly sorry, but we cannot." The town's leader says with a shake of his head. "We cannot bring back all of our own dead, some just are going to have to remain that way."
Toc retrieves his horse before they get on their way. "Yes, of course, we should return the treasure. This town needs all it can get. Do we leave his body here to be buried properly, or take it with us hoping we find someone who can raise him from the dead?"
Valen's body is taken to a local cemetery and given a place of honor. He is given a grave befitting his station as a storm warrior and shown great respect for his help for the town.
it is late afternoon by the time the funeral is completed, you may spend the night here or would have to camp out before you reach your destination. If you leave in the morning you will arrive there by midday.
Looking around to make sure no one else is around before talking to the group, "Let's rest the night here and move on early in the morning. Might as well help with the economy and order some drink and food in the tavern." Naroth suggests to the group.
[OOC: Dang it, keep forgetting to play Naroth as dumb when talking outside of the group. Need to remember that. lol ]
Taviel said her goodbyes to Valen, made sure the word to Hapers about the eggs was sent (she hoped Waterdeep Academy would not miss their chance to get one), and returned with others to the Inn. "Food, drinks and a bath, yes," she cared less about local economy and more about the road ahead - even if short, it was still a journey through the cultist-infested territory.
Next morning she was ready to move on, though, refreshed, recharged and looking forward to get to the big city again.
The next morning you come out to a beautiful day for traveling. Mounting up you are soon heading out of Greenest, heading towards the tavern the red-haired dwarf runs in the town of Silverspan. The wagon trundles along the road with your group, as you make your way across the rolling hills of the Greenfield. The left-over horses the monk left for you are tied behind the wagon, extra mounts in case you end up needing one for some reason.
The trip that morning is uneventful. You eventually come into sight of the other village and arrive there around midday.
The Singing Lark inn and tavern is fairly busy at this time of day, the villagers having turned out for lunch.
The familiar red-haired dwarf inkeep spots you as you enter and gives a broad smile of welcome. "Pleased ta see ye haven't gotten yerself killed yet." he says with a grin. He nods to one of his servers and moves out to greet you all directly. "Let's talk in me office, rather than out here... I assume ye are here ta speak to me that is..." He waves you to come with him through a door and down a hall to a small office area. "So what be the news?" He asks once you are all inside.
If possible, Germain will make sure the wagon is covered and secure before they head inside, if not, he'll stay outside to watch. Did we bring the prisoner with us or leave him in Greenrest?
If Greenest requested to interrogate the prisoner I would leave him with them, but I would make the argument that he would be better questioned with the Harpers and would want to bring him to the red-haired dwarf. I would have tied him up in the back of the wagon so he could not move around.

With that said, you can still take this one out as well...

What's the difference between a Wizard and a Sorcerer?
Class.
"Any way we can ask him what he wishes to be done?" Naroth wonders.
Germain shrugs, "He's dead, let him rest. But we should probably ask the Harper's to contact his family, and let them see to the details."
After that, he's ready to move on.

Germain would prefer staying the night, getting some rest, but is good either way.

(You'll have to decide what you did with the prisoner.)
Germain would have recommended leaving him for Greenrest to execute, but would have deferred to the party if they wanted to bring him.
