All: Before Fedex and Lander have time to react, Riona springs into action. She sprints to the well while attempting to retrieve a rope from her pack. The Dwarven woman steps back from the well to give Riona space and points to it before burying her face in her hands. Fedex and Lander race as fast as they can after Riona, but she has about a 25ft lead thanks to her head start. Riona, peers over the side of the well and sees a dark pool of water roughly 10ft from the top. As she turns to find her companions and seek their help, she feels the Dwarven woman plant both hands on her back and attempt to shove her into the well!
Riona, please make a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check to see if you can manage to keep from falling into the well.
1. Riona - Ran to the well while retrieving a rope from her pack.
2. Dwarven Woman - Attempted to shove Riona into the well. Turn still in progress. Awaiting the results of Riona's check. Still has the opportunity to move.
3. Lander - Up next, once the Dwarven Woman has finished her turn.
4. Fedex
5. Keragri
Once Riona makes her DEX (Acrobatics) check, I will post the outcome of that interaction and finish the Dwarven woman's turn, then it will be Lander's turn. Let's hold off on posting until it's our turn so that we have the most up to date information before we decide how to act, unless you have a spell or ability you want to use that can be cast as a reaction. Something like the spell shield that has a casting time of 1 Reaction, can be cast during another person's turn.
Riona feels the hands of the woman pressed against her back and before the attacker gets a chance to start pushing spins away and steps around her. With her back no longer to the well she looks the dwarven women in the eyes, the whole party can see an immediate shift in her usual cheery tone and for the first time sees a demeanor on her that resembles a soldier.
"Of all the low actions a person can take..." Her hand slides down to her belt, reaching for her crystal and spell book.
All: The Dwarven woman begins backing away from Riona, toward the farmhouse, "Slippery b*tch!" she spits before turning and running. You see shapes moving within the charred beams and three figures step into the light. A pair of rough looking male humans and a male half-orc. The Dwarven woman joins them at the entrance to the farmhouse and turns to face you all, grinning devilishly. The half-orc calls out "Give us the documents and die quickly. Fight, and die slow."
Fedex:
The half-orc is immediately familiar to you. It's the same man from the tavern the night before.
Lander moves to spot K4 on the map. "That was a big mistake!"
Everyone hears Lander chant in some sort of mystical voice. It's hard to discern what he's saying. At the same time, he begins to move his arms and hands around in front of him. A red glow forms around him and you notice what appear to be 3 darts made of pure energy that form in front of him. He brings his hands back to his chest and smiles, but this isn't the friendly Lander smile that his companions are used to. It's different! He then throws his hands forward as the three energy darts shoot forth to find their intended targets.
Lander is going to use Magic Missile. This is an auto hit spell. He is casting all three of the missiles at the half-orc listed at J8.
OOC: To Dyldor, do I need to let you resolve Lander’s attack before posting my actions? My movements will be predicated on the height of the bushes at M5 and O7.
Lander: Darts of energy stream through the sky, seeking their target. The half-orc snarls and attempts to block them with his forearms. The first slams into him with more force than he was expecting, knocking his arms away and allowing the next two to slam into his chest. He howls with rage and clutches his smoking chest, "Kill 'em all!" he roars as his forearms sizzle.
Fedex: You're up! I'd like everyone to wait until I've had a chance to resolve the posts preceding them, before posting if possible. The bushes come up to about mid-chest on you, allowing you 3/4 cover if you'd like to take cover behind them. "A target with three-quarters cover has a +5 bonus to AC and Dexterity saving throws. A target has three-quarters cover if about three-quarters of it is covered by an obstacle. The obstacle might be a portcullis, an arrow slit, or a thick tree trunk." Otherwise, moving through them would be considered difficult terrain. That means it would take twice as much movement to move through them, so 10ft, instead of 5ft.
All: Since this encounter has now erupted into combat, I rolled initiative for the Bandits and added them to the Initiative Order. Fedex is up now, followed by the Bandit at L9. The Initiative Order is as follows:
Fedex leaps 45 degrees, forward and to his left to grid M4. He draws his light crossbow and aims to take the “muscle of the enemy” out of the fight. Targeting half-orc at J8.
Attack: 24 Damage: 5
After the shot he continues his flanking positioning by moving to grid O6.
He shouts tauntingly to the foes,
“Come and get me!” In hopes that they will not target our grouping of wizards.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fedex: The crossbow bolt smashes into the side of Half-Orc's thigh, tearing a chunk of it away. He grunts in pain and turns his attention toward you.
Bandit at L9
A bald man in black leather armor vaults over the partially crumbled wall of the farmhouse and leans against it, taking advantage of the cover and steadying his aim with his crossbow as he braces his arm against the wreckage. He squints down the shaft of the bolt nocked in his crossbow as he attempts to track Fedex through the bushes. He looses the bolt and it whizzes just past Fedex's ear, kicking his hair up as it passes.
Movement: L9 to K10
Action: Attack with Crossbow 16Miss(Fedex has an AC of 16, +5 for being in 3/4 cover, for a total of 21)
Target: Fedex
Damage:3
Keragri: You're up!
All: Taking cover against the interior walls of the farmhouse and bushes provides 3/4 cover (+5 to AC and DEX Saving Throws). Taking cover behind the well provides 1/2 cover (+2 to AC and DEX Saving Throws). The Bandit at K10 and Fedex both have 3/4 cover.
All: If anyone has any questions about any of the rules or processes for what's happened thus far in combat or maybe a spell or ability that you aren't sure about, by all means ask! You all seem like you're catching on pretty quick, but if there's something you aren't sure of don't hesitate to ask. I'm signing off for the night, but I'll be back on tomorrow at the usual time, 10am -3pm CST.

I move to j4 behind the well, and I take out a javelin and aim at the dwarven woman at k8.
Attack:14
Damage:6
**
Can I do that cause I have a 30 walking ft so moving behind the well is less than 30. Also the woman is less than 30 ft away so she is in line of my javelin, or is that how it works
Keragri: You heave your javelin over the top of the well and it buries itself in the Dwarven woman's shoulder. She cries out and grabs it with both hands. With another anguished scream, she pulls it free of her shoulder and tosses it aside.
OOC: Yes, that works just fine. Nice job!
Dwarven Woman at K8
The Dwarven woman pulls a crossbow from behind a pile of rubble near her feet and yells to her comrades, "Cover me!" before sprinting to a collapsed shack behind the farmhouse. She then takes aim with her crossbow and lets fly a bolt toward the well. It slams into the wooden beam of the bucket winch.
Movement: K8 to O13
Attack: Crossbow 7Miss
Target: Keragri
Damage:4
Half-Orc at H8
The Half-Orc draws a rusted mace from his belt and sprints across the small yard toward Fedex. He vaults over the wooden fence and uses the momentum to swing his mace around at Fedex. The mace catches some of the bush and it is slowed before it connects with Fedex's side, but it still hits with enough force to bruise bone. Fedex catches the back-swing with his crossbow and shoves it off.
Movement: J8 to N6
Attack: Mace 24, Hit8Miss (The Half-orc uses the Thug stat block and has the Multi-attack ability, allowing him 2 attacks)
Target: Fedex
Damage:3, 8Total: 3 Damage since the second attack missed.
Riona scurries around the well and crouches as she grabs cover behind the fence and shrubs above the party.
Movement: all 30 ft to K2
She pokers her head up, now with a direct sight line on the half orc. Grabbing her crystal with one hand and lifting the other mimicking a hand outstretched reaching for another she chants some primal words. A ghostly ice blue form of another hand encompasses her then shoots out towards the half orc at a near blinding speed.
RIona: You watch as the ghostly hand grips the back of the Half-Orc's neck, the fingers passing through his flesh and burying knuckle deep. The flesh blackens and becomes covered in a layer of frost. The Half-Orc arches his back in pain and attempts to rip the hand off with his free hand, but to avail. His fingers pass through the spectral claw as though it wasn't there.
OOC: The Half-Orc has 1/2 cover against your attack due to the bushes at M5. Even with the +2 bonus to his AC, your attack still hit him, nice!
Bandit at H8
A human man with long, greasy hair wearing scrapped together leather armor rushes forward with a scimitar raised above his head. He skirts around the well and swings his scimitar at Keragri. The blade slices a shallow line across Keragri's chest, drawing blood, but not doing too much damage.

Lander quickly moves to N4. He points his left arm out at the half-orc at N6, almost as if a sign of greeting, but unleashes a Fire Bolt at the creature.
Lander: The fire bolt washes over the Half-Orc, burning his bare skin and causing the bush next to him to erupt into flame. The Half-Orc is unsteady on his feet and wheezing heavily as his injuries take their toll.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Presuming the action economy works this way:
Fedex sets aside his crossbow and draws his rapier. He growls at the thug,
”You mad you missed dancing last night?”
And with a flourish of the empty hand and some shuffling of the feet, that some might have thought similar to some of the more confusing moves Fedex made on the dance floor the night previous, Fedex thrusts the rapier into his new dance partner.
OOC: I just re-read that the bushes near the half-orc were on fire. I don't suppose there was any action available to me to force him into the flames. This guy is tough ...

STR (Athletics) check for the Dwarven woman: 1
Keragri runs towards the woman seeing her trying to push Riona and tries to tackle her.
Athletics check: 8
All: The Inititative Order is as follows,
1. Riona - Ran to the well while retrieving a rope from her pack.
