"Excellent, sir. I'll confer with te members, but if you are promised to pay itll be no trouble at all. Thank ye and g'day." With that concluded she meets up with everyone and tells that she has met with the mayor.
Dari: You arrive at the murder scene, a thick mustached man sits on a stool, inspecting the room. You can see bloodstains on the bedsheets and pillows. The man looks up at you, "Hm? What are you doin' here?"
Boo: You see a man, pale white skin and long black hair, he wears black robes with crimson accents. He takes a deep breath in and releases it a couple seconds later. "Hmph, what happened here?", he mutters to himself. He turns back out the door, briskly walking into the forest.
It's obvious that the crimson is just decorative, it's no shape as far as you know, that could be magical. You follow him for a while, he leads you to a clearing, 5 tents surround the clearing, 5 men sit around a fire in the middle, most of them dressed in similar clothes. One of them looks up at the one who just arrived, "Where's new one?" The first one swallows deeply, "They're all dead, the girl's gone." The second one stands up quickly, "What?!" the first one blanches, "There were dead bodies all over the front, I can only assume that the girl's gone." the second one kicks the log he was sitting on, "AAAGH! What is Travok going to think? What is he going to do!?"

"The hero sought to save the world.
"If I keep trying, I'll be able to win," the hero thought.
But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
Artin listens attentively to Invah's recounting. "Wow, this is really interesting! But one thing I'm not clear about, who is Travok and what connection does he have with this town?". Artin orders from the Dwarf. "I've heard your ales here are famous. I'll have something good. Not your strongest dwarven spirits, that would knock me out. But if you have a hearty beer or mead? And for food, what is your specialty? I'll have that. Especially if you have anything dwarven. I haven't had dwarven cooking in a long time." Boo joins the table and recounts her experience as a cat. "I have a feeling that these remaining five are going to report to Travok, and the town is going to pay the price for what we've done. This and the gnoll problem. Which should we address first? It's a bit of a pickle. Perhaps we should pay the remaining five a visit before this Travok gets involved. Gnoll raids are bad, but this Travok seems more immediately a threat to the population here."
Artin then turns to Boo. "Are you able to turn into a duck?". He sighs wistfully. "I've always wondered what it's like to be a duck. To be so free, aquatic and aerial..."
Boo: The men are silent while the one who appears to be the one in charge glares at them angrily. The leader sighs, "It starts in three days, we've got to think of something." he sits back down and stares into the fire, along with everyone else. You don't think anything else of interest is going to happen anytime soon.
Dari: "Ah, there's not much to see, apparently the murderer dropped this last night." He produces a curved dagger, "Someone saw him last night, they tried to stop him, they failed, then the murderer dropped his knife. Apparently he had two, so if we can find who owns an identical dagger, this should be easier than I thought it would be. Well, unless there are more than one people who own this dagger."
Artin: The dwarf nods, he turns around and fills a tankard with amber colored liquid, "'ere, I'll get your food shortly." A moment later, he comes out with an awkward looking pie, "It's my specialty meat pie, sure doesn't look pretty, but I assure you It tastes good." Taking a bite, It's not the best tavern food you've had, almost too spicy, decently tender meat, It's still pretty good. The ale is better than the pie in your opinion, not to weak, not too strong, just right.

(OOC- check if there's anyone named Littlefinger in the village. He would know more about this dagger...)
Seeing the dagger Iradari shows him, Invaih gets up, leaning with his palms face down on the table. "Maybe we should ask the armory master. If the dagger is from around here, he would probably know who he sold it to. I also want to go buy a couple daggers for myself; never know when you might need to fling one. Anyone wants to come along?"

Boo quietly makes her exit and quickly heads to town...
Dari: The man nods, handing the dagger to you, "Good luck
Invah: Daggers cost two gp each here.
Artin: (Littlefinger is not here, sadly.) The dwarf smiles when you say wonderful, apparently no one has complimented his food that way.
(At The Armory) You present the dagger to Bashum, he inspects it for a moment, "Ah, it happens I've sold three of this kind recently, all of them look the same", Grayshot goes back deeper into the shop and shows you three daggers that look like the one you showed him, red hilted, slightly curved blade, with handguards that curl upwards. "One of them was sold to Alecreth Foresthide, another to Hejeun Kehrpet, and the last to one of the Kao sisters."

Can we be sure we brought back Ms. Kao safely? I fear that the rumors of corruption may hold some truth after all... We can't discount our other two leads either, but if nothing turns up during the day, I think we should keep watch over at least one of them during the night. If it is Ms. Kao, she may not be aware of the change... Assuming it is a change. Any thoughts?"
You arrive at the Kao's shop, Nia is the only one present, tending to the stocks, hanging up wares at the moment. She perks up at your presence, "Why, hello! Do you need something?"

Investigation 18. When finished, he goes to the apothecary.
