you don't need to roll initiative until you're in combat. only the three at the bottom of the well need to here. if you want Elosa to take initiative, then she will be on her own with the other three.

So you guys are in black, the number in the brackets indicates what you rolled for initiative. The enemy are in red. Say what you want to do during your turn. For those really new to this, ask away in the OOC thread (chat). Ooooooooh, first combat! :)
ROUND 1
Garnet (20)
Daemyar (19)
Krom (17)
Spider 1 (12)
Spider 2 (12)
Giant Spider (12)
Spider 3 (12)
The map is known only to the three of you on the well floor. Those up top may hear you and they can just make out the glow from Garnet's torch, which she is still holding at this time. Assume that where they are standing is where they got off the rope.
The eyes glittering in the darkness emerged as spiders, of course it was spiders. Garnet drew her sword, knowing she can't use her shield with the torch in hand. However sacrificing defence for the ability to see was an easy choice. Garnet set her eyes on the giant spider, better to try and take it down first then deal with the smaller two.
@garnet - The Earth Genasi's longsword whooshes down and slices the giant wolf spider deeply, blood splattering on the rocks and walls behind it. It's still standing but grievously injured....
@daemyar - The Hobgoblin's short sword makes quick work of the giant spider, and it lets out a wailing squeal as it collapses...it's unclear if it was it's death rattle or if it was a plea for help...
Daemyar plunges the sword deep into the spider before jumping up on its head and pulling the sword away with both feet on the body for leverage, wrenching open as much of the carapace as he can.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The spider (1 - leftmost spider) skitters out of the way of Krom's sacred flame and then moves in for an attack on the dwarf. Attack: 8 dealing 3 damage, if it hits. If it hits, make a CON save (DC 9). If you fail that, take 2 poison damage.
Spider 2(middle spider) also moves towards Krom and will attack. Attack: 15 dealing 3 damage, if it hits. If it hits, make a CON save (DC 9). If you fail that, take 2 poison damage.
Spider 3(right-most spider) scurries over to Garnet and makes an attack: 17 dealing 4 damage, if it hits. If it hits, make a CON save (DC 9). If you fail that, take 2 poison damage.
@garnet - please make a CON (Constitution) save. You roll a D20 and add your constitution modifier. If it is 9 or less, you take an additional point of damage. Don't forget to update your character sheet HP as we go.
Garnet draws her sword from the giant spider it's blood sprayed across her arms and face. She whirls around just in time to see one of the smaller spiders jumping for her.
Spider 3 hits Garnet doing some damage, but as the poison enters your bloodstream you grit your teeth and steel yourself against its effects, counteracting any further damage that its poison might have on you.

On reflex Garnet had raised her arm holding the torch to block the spiders attack. When it's fangs pierced her arm she gritted her teeth a growl ecaping her lips. Quickly bringing her sword down on the smaller spider.
