Wash nods "Sounds good, should we figure out how to move it later and come back? I was thinking we should go and check whether there are any other surprises lurking for us in other rooms."
Wash stuffs some boxes and other small to medium size items into the clockwork armour, so that if there is anyone else around that can use Stahlmaster, they will have to spend extra time emptying it before using it.
He then heads and looks thorough the door to the south. [OOC: he wants to see if the south passage or the south-east passage seems more interesting and he does plan on coming back and rifling through things here and in the last room (bedroom?), he just wants to make sure there isn't a Stahlmaster V2 or a hoard of kobolds with robotic parts in one of the other rooms.]
Wash, you take a look at the passage to the south-east. Down the steps, a roughly diamond-shaped cavern opens up beyond a set of open double doors. Each of its four walls holds a three-foot-by-three-foot iron plate, mounted at the center of the wall and featuring a three-inch-diameter hole cut through the plate and the rock behind it. Across the cavern, another set of double doors stands open, but in the darkness it's difficult to see what's beyond them.
Alton, the steps lead to a storage chamber. Piles of metal ingots, textiles, and other materials fill this small cavern, most of it disorganized and all of it clearly coming from outside the lair. There is another passage on the opposite side from you, leading south. The materials are probably valuable, but they look very heavy and hard to transport.
Alton heads back to Balassar and Wash, "Those stairs," he points to the stairs he just came from, "lead to a storage room filled will all sorts of metal and stuff; along with another passage."

Wash heads back to the others, explains what was to the south-east "there is a roughly diamond-shaped cavern [...] across the cavern, another set of double doors stands open, but in the darkness it's difficult to see what's beyond them."
[OOC: I thought in this post he was in a doorway, but it might have just been an assumption. If there are just the three doorways/passages: east, south-east and west, then Wash will suggest going via the west one. If that is another door to the south, he'll look there first.]
Wash, now that you think about it, Stahlmast initially seemed to be moving towards the armour, but may have been headed somewhere else, along the wall. You look around, and poke around, and a section of the wall gives way. It opens into a dark, cool tunnel which twists down into the mountain.
Wash says "Oh, if that is the way out, maybe we should save it until last? I feel like you are still itching for a fight Balassar, should we go hunting for more kobolds?"
[Wash can definitely be convinced to leave if the others want to. However, if the others agree, he wants to check the rest of the tunnels out, maybe starting with the ones to the west.]
Alton peers down the newly found passage, "It could be a way out, but who knows where it exits out at. For all we know it could never exit or it could put us out in the middle of the woods or something."

[OOC: I feel like I've been pushy (including denying Balassar a fight by blocking the armour), so Wash will do whatever the other two want, including going down the hidden passage. I'd thought 'down the mountain' = 'out of the hideout', but I think you two might be right, it might lead to the same place as some of those doors we passed earlier but didn't open yet. The only direction Wash is wary of is the diamond-shaped room - it has dangerous vibes like the room with the metal floor and I keep imagining booby traps.]

Alton will go check out the stairs that are on the left side of the map to see where they go.

[OOC: I'd totally missed the west door.]

[OOC: I'm still paranoid.]
(OOC: You mean the south door beyond the diamond-shaped room?)
[OOC: I meant the one from the room we fought in, the one which Huron ran to.]

(OOC: Wash isn't aware of any door there. As far as he knows, Stahlmast was running to the armour, but make a straight INT check.)
Balassar will walk over to Wash out of curiosity and just look back to Alton "So which way we going?"
Campaigns:
Wildemount: The Felderwin Irregulars (2020) - Balassar Silverstone - Dragonborn Fighter (Rune Knight) Lv. 5 | Rise of TIamat - Aiwin Aralana - Wood Elf Fighter/Ranger (Arcane Archer/Gloom Stalker) Lv. 9
Alton shrugs, "I'm fine with going down either path."

Balassar just looks at the door as it open "I suggest down that way, maybe grab some of the valuables before heading down though? Just in case."
