Alyssa would blink a couple times to adjust to the ‘bark’ that came from the creature before attempting to respond. “Hello. I’m Alyssa. Are you the guardian? May I ask your name?” She’d pause before continuing, “My companions and I have stumbled upon this area. We are simply trying to find our way through.” She’d answer honestly, trying to use her most calm voice and sweet smile. Whether it would make a difference or not, she wasn’t one to start off rude. “Is there something we could help you with?” She’d add at the end, wondering if there would be any benefit to gaining favour with the creature. Perhaps they could learn something about their path ahead? It could be a long shot.
Ramious casts a surprised glance at Alyssa as she speaks in strange barks. He then shakes his head, once again the world confirming he had no idea how it worked....as he started at the weird crab thing.

The giant crayfish looked taken aback: "You talk," finally stated obvious the creature. "I am not the guardian. But I will call him if you do not stay back!" It looked agitated and a bit at loss of what to do. After several nervous movements and turns toward the bolder and back again, it decided: "Leave then. Choose the door and leave." It waved it's claw at the doors around, but immediately corrected itself: "And do not come back!" Then creature pulled back it's many legs suspiciously waiting for your move.
There is literally nothing here except the creature, the bolder and the mud (no magic emanations either). What would any kind of Guardian be doing here is a mystery. The creature itself looked more like an animal, that found a good place for a lair, than a guardian.
"Well it is its home." Leon said with a shrug. "I'd hate people entering my home without being invited." He shrugs. "Let's move on, and leave it to its peace."
Ramious shrugs, "Alright, well...i guess that makes sense." He looks confused still, but hops to his feet, but, walking carefully using his ice cleats, he edges around the outside of the room to the stairs on the far side. Then, pausing as if forgetting something, he looks back, "Bye bye weird crab dude." Then he heads down the stairs, stopping a bit down in order to remove the muddy cleats.

Ramious sploshed, scratched and clucked his way to the other side only to find the next door stuck. There was nothing magical in it: the landing at the foot of a short flight of steps is simply filled with mud and silt that partially blocks the door leading north. The door is meant to open inward, for there are hinges on this side and a large grip to pull on. Yet, consider that even the stares are walkable and not buried completely in the mud, there is, probably, some way for the silt to escape.
"MY piton trick, as you call it, was to drive pitons into the door and use a rope to pull it open." Leon says as he looks over the door. "That won't work here, as pulling the door is what won't work." He glances to the hinges. "Maybe we could try to take out those hinges maybe..." Does it look like the hinges can be broken or removed?"
Alyssa would simply nod when the creature would be surprised that she spoke to him and provide them with passage. “Thank you. We shall be on our way.” With a slight bow of her head, the elf would leave the creature in peace. Although she was dying to learn more about it and this guardian it spoke of, she knew it was time to move on.
Approaching the boys crowded by the door, the wizard would bend forward and shove her hands into the mud. With a few wiggles of her fingers and some coaxing of the elements, Alyssa would attempt to manipulate them a little differently this time. She’d try to pushing water to sift the silt through the base of the door in an attempt to unjam it.
Not right away, but it helped - the silt was washed/pushed under the door jamb and down the (supposed) hall beyond, alleviating the blockage. The door could be opened. Yet again, the door looked very innocent with not signs of any traps. (The creature near the bolder was looking at your departure with much anticipation it seemed).
When the door was cracked open, behind it appeared a dark passage filled with a faint, melodious sound, coming from ahead. It is difficult to tell whether it is someone singing or the echoing of dripping water in a great cavern.
Alyssa would stand back upright, dusting off the mud from her hands. Feeling drawn to the melodious sound that teased her ears, the elf would lead the way down the dark passage.
Bugs wouldnplace a hand on Alyssa's shoulder to stop her advances. Whispering, he said, " hold up a moment and let the owl scout ahead. For all we know that could be a banshee or such."
The song - now Leon could say for sure it was a song - continued, and then stopped with a a surprised squeal. Through the owl's eyes Leon could see the big room (more like a cave), lit by a soft light that reveals a section of rocky beach. Beyond the beach is a pool of glowing water, filling half the room and framed by a crystal cavern. Green fronds can be seen in the pool. Light seems to flow from everywhere, the pool and walls glistening like soft moonlight. On the far side of the pool is a set of doors carved with a now familiar sun symbol.
Sitting on the beach in front of the crystalline pool is a woman, young and slim, with long golden hair and pale white skin. She radiates a soft silvery light even through her shawl, white as the froth of waves. The woman looked at the owl with the big crystal-blue eyes and said a few words with a surprise intonation in a language, somewhat reminding the one crayfish was using.
Ramious nods to Alyssa, "So quick to take the lead there." He points at a scar on his chest. "This is what going in the lead causes. And this..." he points at a bit of his ear missing, "...and this..." he points to a scar on his chin. "So....don't worry, we'll get there, just...let me or Leon take a bit o' the lead, ok?"
Ramious waits for Leon to report what the owl has spotted, then takes the lead down the passage.

"Woman on a beach." Leon says with a frown. "Might need to prepare to do the language spell again, as she seems to speak that strange language as well." He then would be ready to nmove onward.
A bit surprised at first, but then not, Alyssa would stop at Bernard's touch. His intentions good and his reasoning was sound. She wouldn't shrug him off. But she really did want to listen to the voice.
And when Ramious would follow up with pointing out his scars, her eyes would follow. The elf would raise her brow in a challenge. "Shouldn't my lack of scars prove I should lead?" She'd tease. Though, a soft smile would tug at her lips and she'd exhale. She thinks she understood the sentiment.
Alyssa would listen to them. She'd yield her advance.
Though it didn't stop her from listening intently, focusing on what she was hearing. Should it be a language, she should be able to understand it with her magic still active.
The voice is sweet but the words are ... strange. The song tells about eternal darkness that craves for the life, but can only look at it from afar because when it touches what it wants the most - the life vanishes.
When Ramious marched down the corridor (bravely, one might say, though this time bravery paid up - there were no traps here) and appeared in the cave, the woman's eyes opened up even more and with a splash she dived into the water, only to appear on the farthest (from the group) side of the pond. The picture looked positively divine - an otherworldly beautiful girl in the water illuminated by the soft light of the crystalline pool.
"Who are you?" The obvious (though understood only by Alyssa) question sounded like an angel's song.
"Is it saying anything?" Leon asks once the other wizard finished casting the understand languages spell.

Hinges absolutely can be broken. And the door still falls in.
