Alyssa will follow along behind the others, looking around as she does. She’ll trip over her own foot and catch herself just as Ramious shushes them. Her eyes will be wide and apologetic before she’d nod in agreement with Leon. She’ll prepare herself for more orc fighting.
Ramious shrugs, gripping his rapier tightly, he pushes the door to the side and prepares to rush out, unless of course he sees a room stuff full of 30 orcs, in which case, he'll reconsider.

Of course, the "yet attached" ears were there. Not 30, just five of them, but still, something to consider. This chamber itself was filled with rough-hewn bunks, tables, and chairs, and the floor was strewn with filthy pelts, and at first glance it appears that many more humanoids might been usising this area as a sleeping quarters.
All five "soon-to-be-dead" orcs were staring at the group with big surprise in their eyes. Not enough to loose themselves - after all they were raiders, hunters and overall vigilant "barely humanoids" but enough for a moment of awkward pause allowing the group to see that one of orcs was actually an old orog. All five residents of the room raised their weapons - the great axes.
Btw, the door is a choke-point - only one melee character would fit in there from both sides. (and just in case - no, Ramious can not fly over the orc at the door, not enough room for wings there)
Leon, I have to ask you to change the move. My fault, I did not describe the room well enough - it is quite big. And now I have to place the orcs knowing, that you are going to cast some specific AoE spell.
The room is 30 x 50 ft. Orcs were not under the door directly, more like middle - second half, meaning, to use AoE spell, originating from the caster, the caster has to move in and stay inside, probably surrounded (flanked) by orcs. The Orog is the farthest and can not be reached in the first round.
So, Leon could move into the room, and then cast Thunderway, hitting Orc 1, 2, and 3 then, yes? That still seems like a good move. But, Bernard goes first. Oh, and we're still waiting for Alyssa.

(Yes! My apologies for the delay. Had a course this week that was a lot more demanding than expected. It included virtual group work that wanted to do the extra after hours. Sorry to you fine folk and gracious DM!)
Alyssa would shake her head, snapping herself out of a divination daze. She'd blink a couple times to regain her focus.
Initiative: 11
With a quick gesture of her hand she'll release a Fire bolt towards an orc within her line of vision from her position.
Attack: 25 Damage: 10
(lol Kiss of fire!)
(For my newbie reference, would she still be able to be concentrating on Bless from the previous fight? Would be on the boys.)
Orcs are in the far side of the room mostly. Considering also Ramious on the way, the closest two are at 30ft from Leon. He can go in and hit them, but would not be able to return.

just an unstable unicorn.
"Agreed, let's not allow them the chance to sneak up behind us if we leave them be." Bernard whispers.
Ramious shrugs, gripping his rapier tightly, he pushes the door to the side and prepares to rush out, unless of course he sees a room stuff full of 30 orcs, in which case, he'll reconsider.

"Do not go intot he room yet..." Leon calls to his companions as he strides forward. Assuming that no one is int eh room, other than orcs, he casts...
thunderwave
DC 13 CON save or take 10 thunder and be shoved back. Half damage on save and no knockback.

Ooc: Thunderwave is a 15 foot cube centered on yourself. Please don't use that here as it will only hit us. Great spell if you are surrounded though.
Thunderwave is a 15 foot cube out from yourself in one specific direction. So it would hit the 6 squares in front of Leon.
As the DM said though, probably not the best choice in this situation. I'll just wait till his turn to repost then.
((Very curious! I always understood it like "AoE originating from you" means, you are in the center of it, but - no, you are not! Hear, from Jeremy Crawford himself: https://www.sageadvice.eu/2015/04/13/thunderwave-spell-cube/ this is a directional spell! ))

Bernard is going to bob and weave slightly trying to get a good glance at the orcs inside. He will then whip a dart at Orc one.
Sharpshooter feat let's me ignore 1/2 and 3/4 cover. Will take the penalty for more damage.

You know what, let it be block on block - Players first, then Orcs
Round 1:
Bernard missed - the glance was too quick and skewed the aim.
Alissa's fire bolt hit the target, but the orc just flinched in surprise, rather than got hurt. (Bless is gone by now - it is 1 min only)
Leon and Ramious could still make their moves, though, wile orcs taring at the suddenly disappeared wall in disbelieve.

Let's do this yet. He will try to hit as many as he can get in a 3 square by 3 square area directly in front of him.

Fine, instead he will cast flaming sphere and send a ball of fire into the leader one if he can, otherwise any other if he cannot hit the leader.
Dex 13 save or take 7 damage, half on a success.
