((Denn, it's not fair - I did mention the size at least twice (plus it is included into a mirror's description) and once I said specifically "to be clear - the mirror you have is a small hand mirror. Not something someone can easily look into from afar."))
Ramious did reach the medusa - rapier's hit felt as if he hit the log or a dry corpse. The monster did not try to intercept tiefling's run to the door, where Alyssa's healing magic closed the wounds and dissolved the poison in his blood.
Leon shrugged off the terrible gaze of the hateful eyes and stroke the monster, cutting the robe and exposing dry flesh underneath.
Then Bernard sent two more arrows, that pierced that flesh and stuck there turning medusa into a horrifying pin cushion.
The monster tried to fight back, striking githyanki warrior with everything it got:
Attack: 23 Damage: 5
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Though not hoping to win at this point. The monster stepped away, toward it's glassy servant but only to invoke another thunderous sound, that broke the dry body - pieces of stone hard bones and meat, trapped within silk robe dropped to the ground. But that was not the only one that answered the booming sound - another wall cracked and in resonance to that, you now felt she ground beginning to shake under your feet. Newer (as strange as it sounds in regards to ancient structures) masonry gave away, pouring down from - now it is obvious - big openings in the walls.
It is a day time outside, sun rays are coming through the gaps in the walls - that are getting bigger and more numerous - to illuminate the destruction that did not stop but continues, swallowing the room you are in and those lower too. The top of the pyramid - and probably the pyramid itself is falling to pieces. But there are also gigantic stairs, now visible, that lead down from that chamber you are still in.
Bernard rushes forward and pulls his sword out its sheath. With the creature now dead he swings at it to remove its head to bring with. Then yell, "Lets get the heck out of here!"
Move action to get to Medusa and draw sword, action to cut head off.

Ramious looks around, "Alyssa, I feel way better, thanks! Pitter patter, let's get at 'er....wait...what happened?!? Did we kill it?! Can I look up? Woah...is this whole place comin down?!?"
(Bonus action: Convert 2 sorcery points to a 2nd level spell slot. Action: 2nd Wind for 3. Movement: Move towards the biggest crack in the wall towards the step.)
As he runs he yells, "And what about the naked mermaid girl?!"

(Sorry about the mirror then, I truely did not see the other posts, otherwise I would not have done the actions I had planned. It is my issue though, not yours, I had some technical issues over the past while that have made things a bit less responsive on my part. I will hope to be less distracted going forward, though my issues with technology are still here, and look likely to be around for a bit longer.)
Leon frowns as the place starts to fall in around their ears. He would pause to let Bugs hack off the medusa's head, then move towards the stairs the others were already moving towards.
Alyssa would barely give a partial salute in response to her heal. With the walls coming down around them, she’d calmly step her way towards where everyone was headed. She was numb to this place. If Bernard wanted to pause to take a head, she wasn’t going to stop him.
“Better go save her if you wanna be her knight in shining armour.” Yet Rami couldn’t be bothered to remember her name, not that she was surprised, even after they discussed Dasa’s words, not that that context ever mattered either.
"Doesn't everyone want to be a brave knight?!? They save people who can't save themselves!!" He says this while leaping out through the crack and high-tailing it off the collapsing temple. Though, he does stop to make sure Leon and Bernard are coming.

DC12 Dex save - not to fail to your death, the stairs are wide and solid - but the ground-quake is there, cracks are opening, there is a chance to injure yourself. Take 3 damage should you fail.
The fate of Dasa (the naked mermaid girl) as well as fate of anyone and anything inside the pyramid was now in the hands of the gods of this place that was falling apart. There was no way back, unless you wanted to check if the water was still blocking the way down and run through all the corridors back. Otherwise the only path was out of that mausoleum, down the stairs and as far away from the pyramid as possible - the gaps were opening in the ground too, with rocks and dirt filling them fast. The green wall of jungles looked like the only safe place.

Dex save: 10 Ramious takes a tumble, his wings flapping about wildly as he hits the ground. Embarrassed, he pushes himself to his feet on the stairs, and tries to get behind everyone else as they run..... if he sees anyone about to fall into a crevice, he's going to try to take flight and grab them....or use Misty Step if possible to grab them and fly them back up.
Leon skips down the stairs as if he were able to detect every shift before it happened. He easily makes it to the ground, glancing up to watch as the others make their own way out of the temple and to a safe distance.
Without the weight on her shoulders like there once was, Alyssa returns to her graceful steps, tip toeing hops as she followed Bernard and Leon's clear paths.
You had to run all the way, not only the pyramid itself but the remains of the city around it were collapsing. After the suffocating cold darkness of the labyrinth bright sun, hot fresh air and brilliantly colored jungles felt like a paradise, unfortunately the one you did not have time to admire at the moment. But once the party reached the end of ancient city, the tremor stopped - not as if satisfied with intruders gone, more like there was nothing else to destroy. The ruins now fully deserved their name - there was no more pyramid, but the huge shapeless pile of rocks with surroundings dotted with smaller heaps - places where the houses once stood. If that was the goal - your job here was done.
"The Gods were generous to you!" Miztli himself stepped out from the bushes lowered to his knees and prostrated himself before you (or the remains of the pyramid but his respect was obvious even or especially for his stoic demeanor). He raised up again "I will accompany you to the city." ("I" was not stressed, just stated, but the second man - Tochtli - was not present)
And so he did. If it would be possible to be more silent - he was, all the way back to the city. However where before it was the silence of someone cautious of the outsiders, supported by displeased side glances, now he kept his distance demonstrating nothing but respect to the beings worthy of praising. The guide left you only on the bother of the city and not before he made sure you were safely placed into the palanquin, that stood their as if it was waiting all this time.
Familiar noises, soft swings of the palanquin - and you found yourself on the threshold of house with teleportation circle (not that you would be able to tell from outside, but Thlanextic himself in his white-and-gold robes greeted you and said as much). It was the same feeling - no cheering, no words of gratitude, but respect to your and an acknowledgment of a job well done. "We begged the Father of All Gods to grant you success." That was almost all Thlanextic said welcoming you inside the house.
"All Great and Mighty Tlatoani Tezozomoctzin appreciates what you have done. Here is your payment," he pointed at the square basket filled with something wrapped in silk cloth. "You also get this." The wooden box with the lid decorated with mosaic from mother-of-pearl, turquoise and obsidian - a piece of art by itself - contained four golden bracelets of an intricate shape. A similar bracelet you could see on Thlanextic's left arm. The man bowed his head slightly. "The city is grateful. You may return to your world now." He gestured toward the teleportation circle.
Bernard for one was glad they made it out into the jungle and more importantly, the sun light. He relaxed significantly as he looked back to the demolished city. He took that as a good sign that the curse was defeated. He took a brief moment to more fully secure the safety with the severed head. He did so by taking wrap from the healing kit and wrapping it around the head covering the eyes and hopefully preventing any harmful gaze.
When back in front of Thlanextic, he would hoist the head and set it down in front of him. Looking at some one to translate he says, "This is the head of the curse keeper. I present it to you as proof of our success. You may keep it, cleanse and sealer destroy it or I can take it with me and away from your lands."
Leon was just glad to be above ground again. Having grown up on a place without much that could truly be called land, being underground for that long was more difficult that he had realized until now. As they arrive at the city he would bow in respect as the payment was offered, accepting his own portion as a matter of course.
Ramious, coughing from the dust comes to a halt just beyond the edge of the city...which now lays in ruins. He glances back at the rubble and sighs heavily. He misses the axe...though...its probably for the best its gone....but it just felt so good in his hands. He also thinks of Dasa.....fearing the worst...that she's been crushed in her underground home...dying in that dark place, alone....hoping beyond hope that someone may save her. He glances back at the party. They look tired...and Alyssa looks as if a great weight has been taken from her, looking almost perky after so long in that dark place. When Miztli emerges Ramious pays him little attention, instead amidst the jungle and sunlight, he breaths in the sweet jungle air. He crouches down, picking up the soft loam with his hands, letting it filter through his fingers.
The warrior sits down, putting his winged back against a tree, and pulls out some water and a bit of food and begins eating. "We're going to just give ourselves a minute here guy..." he directs at Mitzli. He plans to sit here for an hour...resting...and waiting for the result of the battle to settle in. He watches as Bernard wraps the head....though...doesn't watch too carefully until it's clear the thing is under wraps. Curious about what Bugs has planned, he remains silent for now.
Eventually, after waiting for a short while he says, "So....it's collapsed now. We completed our job but....do you think we should to get back in the first tunnels...and maybe try to rescue the mermaid girl? All she wanted was to be free...and we left her there. I feel bad if she's trapped down there now...unable to get away."

Alyssa was not perky. She simply was able to physically move freely without the weight of the curses holding her back. Emerging in the sun, she’d simply stand there just as tired as the others. She’d stare out over the collapsed ruins with a heavy heart and sadness in her eyes. There was no immediate movement from her either. The elf would pick up her notebook and begin to sketch without a word. She would not follow the others or join them during the presentation, keeping herself separated and stand away in silence with her head down.
The way those piles of rubble look, digging down would be like carving a mine in a quick sand - painful and pointless. Most likely no one will ever know what happened to all those creatures down there. Dasa did mention some "Master" - there is always hope he took care about those most useful to him.
After his hour long rest...and looking at the rubble....Ramious realizes it's hopeless. He stands up, walks over, and gives Bugz a huge hug. He then keeps walking, with Bugs in his hug, and bangs into Leon, and then carries them both forcefully forward until they are next to Alyssa, and "forces" everyone into a big group hug. (he leaves out Mitzli, but will welcome him if he chooses to join).
While they're all smushed up, he mutters, "That one sucked. I'm sorry for everything I did...face it, I just mess everything up....I'll try to be better....no more falling for magical axes...I'll try...can't promise."
As he lets them go and brushes them off, he says, "You guys are the best...I'm proud to be with ya'll." He gives Alyssa an extra squeeze on the arm.
He's unusually talkative on the way back to town. He talks about the crazy stuff that happened in the temple....but not so much as reminiscing, as though perhaps instead processing it all, since while it was happening, a lot of it was unclear. Then he tells the group a bit about his soldiering days, regaling them stories about 'Mustard', 'Meat', and 'Margery' from his old platoon. Stories about horrific beasts, fields of battle with magic everywhere and a sky blotted out by arrows, and his respect for those on either side of him. In the end he talks about the end of it all, "My ...superior...." he spits the word out like venom, "...officer ordered us to take down this bunch of manticores...when we had 'em cornered and could just shot 'em to death. He'd had a grudge gainst Mustard since the last campaign. He was sacrificin all of us or hopin we'd lose a few just outta spite. Well, I eyed him up and told him no way he was killin us that way and punched him right in the face, knocked 'im on his ass. That was it. The end of my army days. Things just went straight downhill after that.. Till I found you guys." He smiles, and the rest of the trip is a bit quieter. A bit.
He is silent throughout the ceremony and presentation back in the town. He manages to sit through it, but it's clear he's more than a little antsy about leaving this strange place and getting back to Waterdeep. He thanks the guy for the rewards, bowing, and gets ready to finally leave this weird civilization. He picks up the box and carries it for the group...ready to go.
