"Leader what?  Me huh?" He says as he fumbles with words.  "I'm just the thebodd man out...  you all have known each other for so long.  Doesn't make sense for me to start barking orders."

Ramious slaps in on the shoulder and laughs loudly, "I'm just joshin with ya man. Obviously we all know Alyssa has got us all wrapped round her finger."

Bugs looks horrified, "Her fingers?  What huh?  What do you mean....  I've not been around her, her fingers."  He turns to Alyssa, "Who ever started those rumors it wasn't me.  I'd never suggest anything untoward to others about you."

His face bright red, he turns and woodenly walks down the hall, "Right, we said right, right?  Right we go, right."  

And right the group went, passing the indifferent cat that looked mole like a statue now rather than a living being. The water is practically gon, leaving behind big, though very shallow puddles and alga-covered slippery floor.

Same as before for now?  Bugs up front Alyssa in back, the boys in the middle?

Confirm!  Bugs, Ramious, Leon, Alyssa. 10 foot gap between Bugs and Ramious.

Bernard carefully moved along the corridor checking the rocky algae-covered floor with the javelin before making the next step. Leon behind meanwhile was enjoying the conversation with his new weapon. "I am both ashamed and honored that I have to teach about the mightiest of the sea gods!" The words were coming like waves - with inescapable determination and crashing sound of surf. "He is the Earth-Shaker, The Savior of Ships, he commands the Sea, the winds and the Earthquakes. People of Impiltur are blessed by his attention and know to respect his will. You will learn more, once I make sure you are the one worthy of his powers and you pledge yourself to his service!"

The Wave did not come to the part yet, where it would (or would not) acknowledge the information about some other weapons,  when Bernard's javelin suddenly slid forward on a particularly large patch of slimy algae - or at least it looked like a patch of algae right until the moment when the innocent flora dissolved a good quarter of the javelin, including the metal spear head. With the light, the puddles and the algae you can not say for sure, but it looks like at least 20ft ahead are covered by that deceiving substance (?) organism (?) - some slime you might want to avoid.

(I am often surprised at how ineffective traps are that I think will definitely murder someone for sure. So, I've learned to just throw it at them and see what happens.....  I suggest you try it!  You'll be amazed! I haven't killed anyone yet!  Despite some serious effort!) 

Ramious looks at the smoking dissolved end of the spear and stops short. "Woah. That's not good."  He reaches into a satchel near his waist and pulls out a handfull of ball bearings.  He tosses them, further and furthing, hoping to figure out how far the slime goes.  When he's done so, he says, "Well...anyone got something for this?"

Yep, 20ft. The balls were disappearing one by one with a hissing and a tiny smoke or some vapor above the point where they touched the surface until you could finally hear the "clack" of the small metal piece hitting the rock.

"I can get across, but how do we get everyone across?  You think water can thin it out, make it less potent?" Bugs asks.

As they walk Leon listens to the trident in his mind. "Ok, first off, tone it down a bit, you don't have to be so loud. What would your god think if you got us killed in here for distracting me from the dangers in this place. If you talk softer I can still listen, and be able to keep my eyes open for dangers." He speaks softly, but does not try to keep the others from overhearing. "Now, as far as the god of the sea goes, again I will ask, is he a god of warriors. he sounds powerful, and able to strike fear into his enemies, while still aiding those swowrn to him. That seems like someone I could respect, which is better than most other gods I have heard about. I also am from the Astral Sea, so there is some reasons to follow such a one as you describe." He pauses as they reach the lake of acid. "One moment." he tells the trident. "Bugs, I can get myself across, and I would think Ramious could fly over, so that only leaves A to get over if she can do so on her own. If not, then we'll figure something out." He glances back to the trident. "Sorry, we have reached an obsticle and are trying to decide how to get across it, please continue."

Ramious shrugs, "Well, I s'ppose I can get myself across as well...the hallway seems wide enough for me to flap over, for sure. Alyssa, you got something fer this? If not, I could probably carry ya."  

"Oh, I got it!  I've got that flying whistle from the temple still.  The one where as long as you blow into it you can fly.  I can go over there, then send the whistle back with my bugs and Alyssa can come over.  That way, no wasted spells," Bug says.

((Considering Ramious flying - have we ever discussed the space needed? I have a feeling we did. The corridor is 10ftx10ft  - 3x3 m. For birds and animals the wingspan is usually about at least 3 times body length (bigger, actually). However, flying tirflings are magical, of course, so, do you think 3m is enough space for him to spread his wings?))

(We've never talked about it. I'm fine if he needs more room than 10 feet.). "Little cramped in here for flying. Maybe I''ll use that whistle too?"

"Why don't we all use the whistle, save the magical means of movement until it is truly needed." Leon says as he glances up from the trident again.

"The whistle works three times a day and I have an alternate way to get across if everyone else needs to use it," Bugs says.  

"Oh, well, just you three use the whistle. I'm pretty sure I can jump that far." 

Ramious waits for the three of them to whistle their way across, and then takes a running leap and jumps across. (should be able to jump 21 feet without problem)

(I also think that even if he can not fly here, wings would still help with the jump - and balance too, the floor is still slippery, for jumps it's DC 10 acrobatics check, with advantage for wings. But it seems the whistle has enough charges)

Alyssa would playfully blow a flame out from her hand and brush her shoulder off when the bugbear would fall from Ramious' blade. Her brows would quirk. There was that voice again. Then A would have a small memory jog, her eyes clouding over for a moment.
