If there is one thing in the dungeon that made well - it's the doors. Really thick and really tight. Ramious can not hear anything. On the other hand, unless the doors are air tight (you did not have a chance to check that so far) no suspicious clouds are coming from the room. Shredinger's Keraptis's golem could be alive... or dead - the state of his reality would have to remain a mystery.
“Well that door is not opening.” Leon says to the others after some effort. “We can either hang around here, and see if it does, or move on. If we don’t find what we need elsewehre, we can always come back.”
"So what? We leave Nine here to die?" Bernard says. He waits a moment, "Is Nine even alive? Does he have a soul? Does one need a soul to live a fulfilled life? So many questions."
Ramious scratches his head, "You know, this guy at a bar once told me about a cat in a box, and tried to convince me that if I didn't know if the cat was alive or dead, that is was BOTH at the same time. Ha! What a moron. Jussec, lemme try this..." He casts message and says to the golem, "Say, whisper a message in return if you can hear me." (reading up on the spell, seems like it *should* work through the door.)

Ramious informs the others, “oh geez. This got interesting.” He messages the thing, “describe what happened when you hit the ball. Describe what you see around you.” Ramious begins to attempt to cast message over and over to have this thing describe what’s up the in the room.

Alyssa would blink from Bernard’s reaction. “My apologies, I was just thinking out loud in response to Keraptis. I did not mean to offend or suggest that we abandon Shrodinger Nine.” She’d nod her head in apology. Taking a step back, the elf would allow for Ramious and the others to work their communication requests with the golem while she’d take another look around at what other directions, if any, they are to consider next.
The only available paths are those that lead back either to the intersection with the sphinx or back to the golem's room with another door and staircase behind it that is going up.
The barrage of requests was met with the steady flow of answers. "The ball moved, master. Then the ball stopped. Then another moved. Then it stopped. I can see nine balls, they are not moving. I see the walls too." Golem was ready to describe every patch of algae around it. But it seems, that nothing within the room changed except the now closed door.
"Nine!" Bernard shouts through the door. "Can you open the door from the side you are on? If not you try from yourside and we will from ours. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to wait there a bit until we finish up with everything else."
The door is thick, the mountain keeps rambling and the golem stands in the middle of the room - chances to hear anything are quite low. But should the order be sent through message again, golem will obey, of course. Though, with the same result - the door remains shut no matter what.
“This is getting us no where.” Leon says. “Let us backtrack and find a path we have not checked yet.” He glances to the door. “If we need past this door we can return and see if it will open at a later point.”
"After all, that... Well, you're right. There is a time to move on and maybe after we get the weapons" and then he whispers, "kill the wizard" then back to normal volume, "maybe the door will open. Till then, back up the stairs by the other golems?" He turns to leave but keeps talking.
"If we are going up stairs, do you think that will take us to an inverted ziggurat?"
Ramious tells the golem to hang tight, and follows the group back to the golem room, as they head down the passage. As they do so he mutters, "At first...I thought we'd tricked the maze by using the golem the other way....but...now I think maybe....the golem was meant to go this way, to get mashed up by some awful trap, but now we don't have it..and..." he stops talking, leaving that sentence incomplete.

(No, this is the only unexplored way on this side)
For some reason Keraptis missed the perfect opportunity to fill the tunnels with the fresh set of monsters, the group returned to the golem's room without any sudden ambushes. As before, past that now unguarded door, a short flight of stairs leads up to a - surprisingly! - dry corridor.
Still no monsters, only nice dry stone floor and walls. But just around the corner you found a full height turnstile, perfectly operational but completely blocking the view of the other side. (Obviously, it allows to pass only one person at a time)
Alyssa would shrug, following along when everyone else was finally ready after Leon’s prompt. Once at the turnstile, she was ready for whatever come next.

“D’awe a term of endearment for me?” Alyssa would playfully gush. “Don’t get too attached Keraptis. You’ll get soft on us.” She’d chuckle.
“But we didn’t pass any spouting water.” The elf would add. “I don’t believe Whelm is here.” She’d admit.

"I can hear you, master," came back words in dramatic whisper. Apparently that particular "cat" was still alive.

Leon waits just long enough for Ramious to show it safe, or not safe. if safe he follows, if not, well then he'll do something I am sure.
