There was something wrong with the disgusting slithering stream of black bodies (provided, the swarm of snakes is the right thing to begin with) - the way they moved and, most of all, smelled, that was not natural. The group that was waiting for the results of Ramious's experiments with the door, heard the smashing sound, of course, and then watched the hissing mass pouring out of the open door and rushing the tiefling. The snakes attacked:
Swarm 1 vs Ramious: Attack: 7 Damage: 9
Swarm 2 vs Ramious: Attack: 21 Damage: 9
If any hit - a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking 12 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

The bites snap and bite, clanking off Ramious' shin guards. He swings his rapier down at them attempting to slash a bunch to bits. As he does so, green flame erupts along the blade, and leaps amidst the snakes sending green fire everywhere.
Attack: 15 Damage: 14 + 3 fire damage.
The other swarm takes 10 fire damage.

What's the difference between a Wizard and a Sorcerer? Class.
Probably it was the experience of dealing with bat swarms, but the party managed to dispatch (un)dead snakes in practically one motion. Smashed, pierced, and burned decaying bodies covered the floor around Ramious.
"Hehehehe," the giggling was as loud as the hissing of the snakes before and sounded very satisfied. "Oh, you had to see the look on your face when the terrarium smashed! Gods, it was funny! No hard feelings, right? Just a little joke. Hehehehe. A preview of what's coming, so to speak, but - no spoilers! Enjoy your next room."
Whatever you were supposed to enjoy in the next room did not look all that impressive. Behind the door (once you made your way between the broken glass pieces and dead-undead snakes bodies) was another long corridor. Quite wide - good 20ft, Ramious would probably be able to even fly. The otherwise smooth surface of the floor is broken by a sizable gap, and you can see the glint of metal at the bottom of the opening. The floor beyond this area has a silvery sheen. In the distance - 50ft from the first gap, you can see another hole, beyond which (though, only Ramious can see that far) is a patch of floor that adjoins the opposite wall.
The openings in the floor are 5 feet wide and 10 feet deep - easy to jump over for anyone, but that metal glint at the bottom is not reassuring. Also, on the second look that silvery sheen covers not only the floor between the gaps but the walls and the ceiling too.
Effortlessly, with the grace of hunting predator, Leon jumped across the first pit, landing far behind it. His stuck landing was equally perfect - flawless in every way! Except one: he suddenly realized, that he was still gliding forward without moving a muscle, powerless to stop or hold at anything. The few feet to the next pit took less than a second, and then, like a billiard ball into the pocket, he slid down the pit.
The pit bottom was indeed lined with rusty, razor-like blades, immediately cutting into Leon's body (12 damage). It was not deadly but the rust looked dangerous on its own (DC 15 Constitution saving throw, please).
Ramious watches Leon slide along the hallway and fall into the pit. "Damn. LEON, YOU OK? BUD?" He glances at the ceiling, "You're hilarious, in a sociopath murderous sorta way."
He quickly bends down, pulling his ice cleats out of his bag and strapping them onto the bottom of his boots. "Not sure if these'll help or not. That silver stuff looks magical."
Ramious moves forward and leaps across the first hole. Expecting to slide he prepares to push off with his wings and glide across the 2nd hole if his ice cleats don't give him any better grip. As he glides across the hole he looks down for Leon.

"Ouch..." Leon moans from the bottom of the hole. He grimaces as he tugs himself off of the rusty blades. "Not doing good." he says, calling up to the others. "Careful, that stuff on the floor is slippery..." He informs the others, likely needlessly.
Ramious was right in his guessing - whether the stuff was magical or just a clever invention, but ice cleats slid across it like an oiled rock across the polished ice, as if there was no friction at all. Flapping wings did not even slow him down but allowed to get across the second hole and land on the other side, getting his grip with the floor again - the stuff did not stick to boots.
Cuts and scratches were painful, true, but it seemed Leon managed to avoid the suspicious rotting rust at least.
Ramious, from the other side of the far pit lays down on his stomach and reaches an arm down into the pit to try and give Leon a hand up. If it's too far, he'll toss a rope down and then slowly pull Leon up until he's on the far side.
Assuming that goes well, Ramious shrugs, "More bird man theatrics I suppose." He leaves his backpack and goes over to get Alyssa and Bernards bags first to fly them back over the place. Then he flaps back grabbing Alyssa and bringing her across the slick floor and both pits, and then Bugs.

Leon just lays on the floor, once out of the hole, and grimaces. He felt foolish for that risk, and should have known better. As Ramious ferries the others over he eventually sits up, then gets to his feet, his wounds feeling tender.
While Ramious was transporting the rest of the team, Leon had a chance to study the surroundings, if only as a distraction from the pain. Right in front of him was a similar door with the same mechanism to open it. The only difference between this side of the corridor and the one you came from was the additional illusory wall with nothing behind it but empty space - a surprisingly harmless prank.
The door - similarly to the previous one nonmagical and as innocent-looking as a door can look - this time opened up without any surprises. The short corridor behind was also quite unremarkable and led to yet another one with a door at each opposite end. Not visible traps or puzzles, just the "choose your door" thing.

Ramious looks to Bugs, "Can you help bandage Leon up a bit? Those cuts don't look nice."
Looking down both ways, Ramious shrugs and says, "Wait here" so the group doesn't enter the next passage, but stays just inside the intersection so they can peek around and watch what happens.
He quickly inspects the door to the right (top) (Investigation: 18) for traps and the like before opening it a crack and peering through.
"Don't waste too much on me, I am doing ok yet." Leon says, but will allow some amount of healing. "Just stupidity on my end there, should have expected soemthign like that."
(OOC: I forgot to add in the 15 from Bug's healing after the invisible-foe fight, and only took 12 damage here, so am at 41/54 HP. Not doing too badly, but wouldn't mind a top-up if that doesn't take too much, but am just fine as-is as well.)
And another missed perfect opportunity (for the house) to booby-trap a door - nothing was found and nothing sprung to life or un-life as Ramious opened the door.
The sound of rushing water greets him here. And indeed, water is the first thing he sees, quite clearly too, as the walls are covered with luminescent algae and produce soft light making the picture even more surreal. A fast, lovely-sounding stream not only flows through this room, it floats.
