Focusing for ten minutes Feldspar stands in place to cast his spell.
OOC: How many feet in front? It says up to a mile away.
OOC: Well, I said "to the limit of my vision." How far can I see into the cave, considering ambient light from the opening behind us and light from the spells and torches? My darkvision extends 60 feet. So I guess that would be where... 60 ft. away.
"In terms of strategy, I've got my trusty magic missile," says Feldspar. "And if I see it, I can hit with my mind spike so that we'll always know where it is. Well, I'll know, and can tell the rest of you."
He now notices the newcomers for the first time. "Ah, the Take moves fast! Well met, clerics." He raises an eyebrow at Midnight, seemingly dubious about her. "If the Take approves you, I've no quarrel, either."
“That is not the first time I’ve heard that, and probably not the last.” She doesn’t look offended at all.
“What kind of beast are we tracking? This was a last minute request for help, so I don’t have many spells prepared for a group, but I do have a number of helpful blessings and defenses ready.”
Looking around as the group introduces themselves, she eyes Elijah sideways and says, “My goddess, like all those of ... my race (grimace) ... grants me powers to defeat my foes more than save my allies. Be careful out there.”

"A, um, chimera ma'am," Wuldric says, noticing the tension. "Anyhow, I'm just as effective afar as I am up close, and can hex the creature to weaken a particular aspect of it."

“A mighty creature, to be sure. I can use some of my weaker incantations at just over 100 feet, but my more powerful spells require closer range. I can try to weaken it, sicken it or make it blind, depending on its toughness. I can also surround it with a magical glow the will make it easier for everyone to target with their spells and weapons.”

Milo slightly bows his head in thanks, „Thank you friend. Are we ready to move in? I would suggest a similar approach as earlier. If you can be stealthy and got nightvision, you take the lead, stealthy and without nightvision in the middle and clanky loud people behind. Let‘s try to surprise the beast.“

“Pelt it with arrows when it is flying, and if it comes close, knock it to the ground and pin it down. If you got magic to weaken it, curse it, make it more clumsy, go ahead, just remember it got three heads so i would assume charms and attacking its senses may fail.“
