Noticing the tension between the other patrons, she asks, "Barkeep, why is there such a distance around the guards? Did they step in manure this morning?"
The barkeep fills up wilm's ale and hands it to him, "that'll be a copper piece sir."
He lowers his voice when speaking to Hilda, "these men work for the oligarchs, there's 5 of them and they're awful men, they've been terrorizing this town for years now, after they overthrew our queen. Then rob, steal and beat anybody who dares to oppose them. Those guards are spending the money that they've been robbing today, the people keep their distance because, they don't want to be next."
one of the guards overhears him "what was that you were saying about our masters?" to the others he says "come on, let's end this man's whole career"

Nobody is left in the bar, you can examine / loot it, or you can hurry out with the barkeep.
If you stay you risk encountering more guards, and if you leave now you only get the loot previously described.
Notice: Some characters who are unimportant (or important to the story but fighting serves little purpose) to the story may be assassinated by ranged attacks, being 1 hit, this only gives you the amount of XP for a cr 1/8 monster though. (please ask if they are 1 hit)

the bar's patrons flee, leaving you and the barkeep to the soldiers.
If you choose to fight, roll initiative, if not, flee (there's a dozen of the guards.)

They all die except for the 0 damage one, and Rory's arrow goes right into his eye, slaying him instantly.

The barkeep looks astounded, and peers at Rory with wide eyes. "My thanks to you," he says to the group "you've saved my life."
He grabs all his gear and posessions, and says, "we must get out of here!, more will come and we cannot be here when they do."
"come with me he urges, after I get ny family, we can go to a safehouse, we will be safe there." He rushes out of the building, not looking back."
Rory receives 300XP (make sure to update your character) and the rest of the characters recieve 25 xp.
The guards all have chain shirts and shields as well as shields, they are in good condition, and they will fit everybody except for Hilda.
The guards also have 300gp of stolen money between them, divvy it up between yourselves.
