If his ears fail him, he’ll turn west at the intersection. He keeps his back to the north wall and advances his remaining movement, pending what he sees when rounding the corner.
Murdoch bares his blade and his copper-edged Flaming Fist badge, and takes off after Feldinor down the shadowed alley, stopping at the opposite corner to listen for the sounds of conflict.
OOC: Fimrold now has the initiative. Murdoch, a couple of PMs for you as well.
Can Fimrold heal Feldinor? Regardless of Fimrold’s actions, Rigor takes the Ready action to trigger immediately after Sorore moves. He will move with her.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fimrold reaches his hand out to Rigor and casts the Guidance Cantrip (add 1d4 to your next skill check) “Perhaps this will be of use to you.”
He then moves 10 feet NW and uses his bonus action to cast Healing Word upon Feldinor 3
and uses his remaining 15 feet to move North, ending his movement behind the cover of the building that juts 5 feet into the alley, drawing his shield along the way.
OOC: First - a Happy Independence Day to all of you, and to the Republic, a 244th Birthday!
OOC: Second - behold, my friends, the 187th entry of this campaign, authored above by Fimrold! In it he has provided an absolute exemplar in leveraging the Actions in Combat rules to perfection and to their fullest, employing his Move (split for his purposes), his Action (casting the Guidance cantrip), and a Bonus Action (casting Healing Word as allowed by the spell) to the greatest possible benefit of his company. In addition, he has done so while crafting his PbP entry language in a manner that required no revision, no further adjudication, no reinterpretation, et al, of what is possible and allowed within a round under the 5e rules. Most impressive, and most worthy of an Inspiration Point!
Yokai will move 30' due north, pulling his longsword along the way. He will then Dash another 25 feet to end his movement so that he is 15' directly north of Feldinor, using the building as cover. He will scan his surroundings.
Edit: I have removed the Perception check from my post, as this by RAW would usually require the Search action. Since I can't Dash and Search in the same round, I will rely on my Passive Perception should the need arise.
OOC: Many thanks, Yokai! For the rest of the company, I'll share that this has been done as well for both Feldinor and Murdoch, addressed previously in PMs to them during their turns. Yokai specifically has the right of it, here.
OOC: With the following tactical map update reflecting Yokai's turn, other unobserved actions take place, and Sorore will have the initiative.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sorore looks once to Rigor with a quick nod of appreciation. With urgency, she sets off down the alley, unfurling the gray leather bandoleer wrapped around her slender staff and settling it across her back as she moves. She reaches Murdoch's back using her full move, as a matter of coincidence, with her hands empty for other tasks, and her heightened senses focused.
OOC: Glad I checked before retiring for the evening! Sorore, with only your full move and interaction with your staff taken in your turn, you can absolutely use the Search action at the end as you noted. PM coming your way to provide what this reveals!
OOC: Rigor, I'll take the liberty of moving you with Sorore as you had planned in the next tactical map, per your Ready action, which concludes your turn this round. Please modify any aspect of this move as you see fit.
OOC: Following the next tactical map, Casta will have the initiative, followed immediately by Belmort!
Watching her companions rush to the sound of trouble, Casta's heart again warms. Her heart declares "I affectusthese people. May we forever diligoeach other." Meanwhile, her mind describes "The team is in perfect ambush position. The trap is set. Now to bait the trap. What evil can resit a tasty Paladin." She spares but a moment to glance at the colossal Belmort. Gives a wink and a sideways nod down the alleyway. Her adrenaline kicks in and she is off. She pulls from her back holster the namesake weapon of this party. The Spear. That second most ancient weapon. A perfect balance of range, defense, offense. As she runs north, she settles the spear in a throwing position above her shield, thumb to the rear, quickly able to adjust for a thrust or commit to a throw. She breaches obviously into the alleyway and makes herself known. Her back is covered by the wall and she is 5' from the door, able to threaten any that may come out. As she comes into the narrow cross alley, she cries out "HELM SEES YOU. YOUR PROTECTOR HAS COME. WHERE ARE YOU?"
Mechanics:
Move: 30' North and 5' West to come beside Rigor.
Dash 15' further North to the exposed corner and then 5' to the East.
Free interaction: Draw spear.
Free action: Speak (short!!).
OOC: See Latin translations for affectus and dilligo. Following the trend, using Latin to stand in for Celestial.
Belmort responds quickly to the unfurling scenario. As he moves down the alley, he draws his battleaxe. He'll Dash the remainder of the way until he is directly north of Casta.
"Citizen in need. Make haste."
OOC: Belmort intends to don his shield next turn, if the opportunity permits, but thought it better to create a front line.
OOC: The round concludes for A Cuspide Corona! I'll provide the next tactical map, then tomorrow conclude the round with unobserved actions, re-cap for the narrative, and similarly start the next...stand by...
OOC: Of note, I'll also have a procedural question for the company regarding skills use, PMs, et al - very interested in your net response, which I've observed differently among groups of players. Until then!
