Fimrold will do his best to stay close to the party in the back, hoping his stubby legs don’t make for an ever-increasing gap in the event of a long walk.
If it was any sort of group causing those noises then perhaps there’s a lookout or other adversaries nearby to be ready for.

Precious seconds of apparent stillness pass in the gloom to the north following the choked cry of pain, with the suddenly fearful folk crowding the street now pressing away from the company, and the shadowed alley beyond them.

[ooc] Feldinor will double move (50') down the alley towards the sound of the female and take up a perception position at the corner. If no one is there, then he will continue his move to the fullest looking for some sort of metal grate/door that covered the escape.
Feldinor surges into action, in response to what his acute senses reveal, and rushes into the gloom of the alley to the north, pausing at a corner he uncovers.
