Halec seems confused, examines his body for burn marks and other wounds. “This is extremely bizarre. Why are we still alive, exactly? This makes no sense.”

Those look like pretty nasty burns, I'm sure I've got some stuff for that in my bag, but I'm sure we may need a key first" he leaves your sight for a minute, and comes back with a key, he puts the key in the lock and turns it gently, the door opens slowly with a *CREAK*. He walks into the now open cell and takes a bottle of a very pale blue liquid out of his bag "Does anyone want me to soothe their burns, it may sting a bit."

 "I would wager all of us do," Halec says.  "I thought each and everyone one of the four of us died in that last inferno."

"i'd have thought so too, but let's leave this cell quickly before we can stage some kind of breakout and get to some sort of stronghold before healing up" I say.

"But what about your stuff? your companions? Do you really want to leave them behind?"

"No, what i'm saying is let's leave this cell and get to an easily defensible room, a stronghold if I may, then we make a plan." I say.

I struggle to my feet and pick up halec and heft him over my back. I stagger out the door under his weight and look for an easily defensible room.

"Fair enough, come then." He leads you out the dungeon and back into the library, although, a different route was taken to the labyrinth room where the main entrance is. The room has a surprising lack of thieves. "That vault with your things and other stolen goods should be safe enough... if we know the combination." 

I pull out my thieves tools "Heal them, I'll pick this lock."

“When did you become a locksmith, Anthony,” Halec says, not too concerned from the sound of it. “Ah yes, former thief. It seems so long ago.”

"right, let's get your mule back" I say.

Quick question, can I cast cantrips without my spellbook?

" I can't be more thankful, mister! " I shake his hand.

“Indeed, let us reclaim Helen. Neil, any idea where the thieves took our items? Or why they chose to keep us alive for that matter?” Halec asks. 

Neil now looks frustrated "Again, I do not know, why don't you ask them" he says sarcastically. "And I told you twice before, your stuff is most likely in the vault, open your ears!"

" Well, let's break into a vault, shall we? "

Halec haruphs. “We’ve had a near death experience doctor Niel, your bedside manner is lacking. Lead the way.” 

As the four of you are about to walk out of the dungeon, a voice calls out "Ahem, care to let me out, too?" The voice came from a long-haired half-elf male trapped behind a cell's bars. Neil immediately uses the key to let him out. "Here, your free now. Oh, I know this is out of the blue, but these guys were trying to recover their stuff from Slough the thief, and recover some crystal, care to join us?"
