Halec is perplexed at how one hold's a ghost hostage, but instead of pressing that matter, he asks, "Do you know the layout of the mansion?  It seems you have been here a while.  Perhaps you could describe directions on how we might reach your loved ones?  I could draw a map."

 The stairway in the lobby only leads up to the second floor, and the one in the room your in is gone.

 "The house can be complicated, and its hard to keep track of your kids, but I'm pretty sure Ally is in the library out that door is the bedroom, there's a door le-- *sigh* this is hard to explain, I'll just show you" she waves her hand over the paper and it creates a map of the houses second floor, a red trail leads to a large rectangular room. "I don't know where Kayla could be, but Linn does not tend to leave his room often."

Halec carefully takes the map she has created. "Friends, it would seem we have our route.  Let's be off."

With a shrug, Chazrael walks inside.

I see my old thieving ways pay off, I grab my hammer in one hand, push the door open and cautiously enter the room.

I call out "Ally! Are you in here! I'm here to rescue you and this house from the curse." Perception (are there any ghosts, crystal shards or other items with magical enhancements?) 5

The library is actually the room that is in the best shape. All the books are in order and clean, the pages are yellow, and old, but not a single cobweb rests on the shelves. The room has nothing of value, nor any ghosts, but you find a table that has a book open to a certain page, it reads:

I'm not here to tend the books right now. If need me, I'll be in the ballroom.

I move to the ballroom, repeating the message, hammer put away, but my hand on the potion, ready for anything.

While walking through the gloomy hallway, you realize that you don't even know where it is, at a dead end is a new trio of doors, one on each wall.

I try the doorhandle right in front of me,

The door leads into a bedroom, it is filled with dust, every nook and cranny. An orange-sheeted bedding sits on the far side of the room, a rocking chair rocks slowly next to another doorway. Inside the bed, you hear someone snoring under the covers, it sounds female to you.

“One of the ghostly family members I assume,” Halec guesses aloud.

I call out "Allie! I'm a friend and i'm here to rescue you from the curse, arise and follow me!" To make sure she's awake, I pull the covers off the bed, and give her a gentle, but firm shake. (If i can)

I walk to the ghost, and I say softly " Excuse me, madam, but are you mistress Ally? " 

Chazrael will hold up his bow and arrow and point it at the bed. "Go ahead and talk to her, I'll cover you."

When the cover is pulled of, a specter is revealed underneath, and it lets out a terrifying screech.

Nope, it is a hostile ghost.

The specter reaches out its purple wrinkled hand, draining the life of Chazrael.
