Ooc: Add guidance to that as well if allowed. Also the healing is nonmagical through the healer feat
The monk clinches his teeth when he bends to check a crate. "On second thought," he says, "I think I should at least get bandaged." He submits himself to the good healer's care. Once finished, he rises and twists slightly. "Much better. Thank you, Aster. Now...let's try that again."
(2nd roll, the advantage die, with guidance) Investigation: 20 + 4
Looking through the supplies, you see the majority of them are marked with a blue lion, and hold armor and weaponry. Aster, due to your time in Phandalin, you recognize this symbol as that of the Lionshield Coster. You also find behind some of these crates a treasure chest that contains 600 cp, 110 sp, two potions of healing, and a jade statuette of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes (40 gp).

Xianon frowns thoughtfully at the sigil on the crates. "That's not Gundren's seal. It looks like these goblins have been active for a while. I wonder whose it is." Satisfied that the others will take care of the looting, he replies to Serwa, "I'm pretty sure we'll find enough skulls to decorate your armor," he notes, gesturing to the dead goblins. Then the elf takes station by the stairs, peering down and listening.
"Well, how do we go about rescuing Sildar, now? From what that goblin outside said there could still be fifteen or so goblins still in here. Mayhap we could lure them out of the cave somehow?...better yet, lure them into their own flood trap." Tomora says with a grin "If I remember right, Sildar was a fighter, if we could get him a weapon perhaps he could help..."
If possible Tomora will grab an extra shield and weapon from the crates for Sildar.
“Eh, on second thought, skull covered armor sounds unsanitary,” Serwa says. She finishes her search for superior heavy armor -
OOC: Let us know what we find, as far as armor options.
- then adds, “We still need to find the hostages of course. We took out the head of the snake first, but we still need to deal with the rest of them, you’re right.”
There aren’t any upgrades to your armor, everything seems to be pretty simple such as normal leather, chain mail, and some scale mail, shields. This stuff was being shipped to Phandalin, which isn’t typically in too much conflict, so there wouldn’t be too much market for the tougher, more expensive, armor. As far as weapons go, you can find any weapon that costs 25 gold or under.
Xianon, listening down the cave you can hear the usual sound of the stream flowing, and though you don’t hear anything close enough to pose immediate danger to you, you do hear what seems to be excited yelling in goblin echoing off of the cave walls.
The elf can't hear well enough to make anything out, and even if he did it would be gobbledygook, but anything that makes goblins excited is usually bad news. "I hear goblins further down, of course, but they're agitated. I didn't observe any running off, but the rest may know we're here."
"Sounds like we either sit and wait for them or we get movin. I did see another passage a little further on down by the stream that went to the left. It might be worth checking out."
“I would say we duck out, rest up and come back, but they’ve still got the hostages, if they’re alive,” Serwa says. “We could wait, see if they rush this room to check on their king, or step out to meet them. If there really is a second in command who didn’t like the bugbear, maybe they’ll want to negotiate.”
Updated map of where you’ve been/what you’ve seen thus far. Some rooms, such as tunnel on the left or the pool room, are incomplete as you haven’t yet explored that far, just what you’ve seen from the rooms you have explored
Based on what she recalls of the layout (and the map) Serwa says, "Going north probably makes more sense. Their traps were probably rigged for people coming in the main way. We kind of bypassed all that."
"There is only one hostage here, the human Sildar. They took Gundren to the some King Grol at Cragmaw Castle, or at least that's what the goblin outside told us. If you remember he told us Sildar was in the 'eating room'; if we leave now without him, he may just become Yeemik's coronation feast." Tomora looks worried "How willing Yeemik is to negotiate will depend on how many goons he has; not to mention that he has leverage - a live hostage. I don't know about you but I don't put much stock in a goblins word."
"I say we try to lure them into the stream and trip their own trap...flood em out! If we dump these bodies down that fissure, one or two of us can hide here without raising much suspicion. If they look in here, they will see an empty room, they'll think the brute has left. I reckon they'll head right down that stream. Then Xianon, or whoever, comes sneakin out right quick and trip the dam. Whoosh, problem solved. Serwa and company can go to work whacking half drowned goblins." Tomora pauses for a moment pondering "Of course, it could all go horribly wrong, too... anyway, that's my two coppers, take it or leave it. I'll go along with any plan you all have."
"You've got a devious mind, Tomora," Serwa says. "I think you're definitely the scary one in the group, for sure." She does not smile, but her deadpan humor is evident. "I don't have any better ideas. Let's try it. See if goblins can float."
"Even if we could negotiate them to give us Sildar alive, I have a feelin that we would end up catching a river of water in the back on our way out...then it would be goblins whacking a bunch of half drowned fools..."
"What's your take on the situation, Xianon?"

"That's a cute little thing" Tomora says, seeing the frog statue. "Any studded leather armor in all that stuff?"
If there is any hide or studded armor, Tomora will take one.
"Or if you see any full plate armor covered in skulls and spikes. Or just any full plate armor at all, really."
Serwa would look for any upgraded heavy armor to her current chain mail, which would be either Splint or Plate.
