"We weren't too late for you, Sildar," Serwa says. "Be grateful, you will get to live to see another day. No one should go this way, being eaten by goblins. Let's get out of this place."
Xianon's face goes flat and expressionless when he sees the Warriors room. His jaw tightens, though, when the fighter talks about Gundren being taken to the Black Spider. He helps Tomora escort him to safety then turns and addresses the goblins. "You will, of course, forfeit all of the stolen goods up in Klarg's chamber." It's not a question.
„To that, you will stay far from the roads and will krep away from travelers. If we hear from goblins plundering in these regions, we will come back and behead another leader!“
Xianon turns to you and speaks earnestly in hushed tones. "If this bans reports to someone, that someone is not going to be happy that we killed Klarg, no matter what Yeemick says." He gives each of you a significant look. "We can't let them make that report. We can't leave witnesses."
Serwa responds, "That makes perfect tactical sense. But I have to act as my code and faith would have me, Xianon. I answer death for with death. I balance the scales. I try to bring order to the world, in some small way, with my blade and my faith. You know I'm not squeamish about taking life. But I do have to respect oaths and agreements. We have an arrangement - they release the hostage alive, we leave them alive. They break their word, I'm happy to make them pay for it. Otherwise, I can't back you on this play."
OOC: Serwa is Lawful Neutral, this is how she interprets her faith and her code.
Tomora, Sildar is able to stand with assistance. Though he has many wounds, he’s not in immediate danger of bleeding out (He’s at 1 hp, with multiple levels of exhaustion).
As you begin to threaten them, they all pull out their weapons, 4 holding bows (including Yeemik), and 3 holding scimitars. Yeemik says, “Deal was we give you human, that’s what you say. We gave you human. Now leave our cave or we take back human.” The four with bows all have them leveled at Sildar. “You overstep bounds, and try to steal supplies we take months to steal, and weak human die. Know that if you fight, we will leave rest of you alive, and slowly make meal from your body.” He smiles cruelly, “Already have two fingers in pot for you to join!”
The elf nods gravely. "We made an agreement," he agrees. He thinks.for a moment and turns back to the goblins. "Still not a king, though, are you, Yeemick. Still a slave to the Black Spider." Xianon shakes his head. "A pity. Of course...we might be able to take care of that for.you, too..." He shrugs and turns, putting the ball in Yeemick's court. Softly, to Sildar, he says, "Who is this Black Spider they to took Gundren to?"
Tomora is focused on getting Sildar out as quickly as possible. She wraps an arm around his waist and allows him to lean on her shoulder as he stands, her free arm still holding her shield to protect both of them if needed "Come on now...lets get you out of here."
When the goblins draw weapons, Xianon's small returns. Turning slightly toward Serwa he murmurs, "It would be a shame if they stared something." He then takes a half step along the wall, drawing.potential fire away from the group. "Bows?" He responds casually. "Good choice. From what I've seen, you goblins can't swing a sword worth bugbear dung." His smile turns wicked. "At least, your friends upstairs.couldn't."
Serwa crosses her arms and watches the exchange, determined to stand by her personal code, though based on past experience you know she is likely rooting for Xianon’s tactics of baiting them into forcing her hand.
You can do that, helping Sildar through the rubble until you’re both out of the cave. None of the goblins move to attack you, but just instead level their bows at Xianon. As Tomora leaves, Yeemik says “Be smart like your friend, and you no die. One more step not toward cave exit, we fire. Me want to honor deal, but you is pushing it.”
The absurdity of the situation suddenly dawns on Xianon, and his melodious elfin laughter breaks the tension. "Look at us," he says, turning to his remaining companions. "How pathetic is it that I can't even goad a goblin into violence? Or that the goblins are the ones trying to avoid the violence?"
He turns back to the goblins. "Very well, Yeemick. You have the head, we have the human. But we're missing the dwarf. Where can we find him?"
“You want violence, Elf, then step forward. Me not want first act as Chief to be breaking deal with those who kill the vile Klarg. That why you live. You want dwarf, you go find him. Me no betray King Grol.”

„Take this if you need something to Support.“ he holds his spear to sildar and would take his longsword to free a hand.

"Now, if they refuse to relinquish those stolen goods, or try to take a shot at us, that's a different story altogether," Serwa adds.
“I dont see great issue in them reporting todays incident to others. I doubt that they will make hunt on us and they will try to kill us regardless.“
Ooc: did Jon and Arto take the cart or is it still standing on the side of the road?

"We did just make the deal for Sildar. I never imagined I'd be negotiating with royalty, today," Serwa says sardonically.
Tomora is focused on getting Sildar out as quickly as possible. She wraps an arm around his waist and allows him to lean on her shoulder as he stands, her free arm still holding her shield to protect both of them if needed "Come on now...lets get you out of here."

Xianon, in response to your Black Spider question, Sildar says “I don’t know, all I heard is that Gundren is being sent to them”
Yeemik spits on the ground, “Klarg loyalists, them were. Deserved to die. Traitors to the rest of us Goblins down here.”
Serwa crosses her arms and watches the exchange, determined to stand by her personal code, though based on past experience you know she is likely rooting for Xianon’s tactics of baiting them into forcing her hand.
As long as nobody stops her, Tomora is going to help Sildar out of the cave (using the side passage if possible).
