You head back through the rain, getting completely soaked, and find the library again. When you get there, the gnome isn't there, but the ledger is still being written in by some unseen force.
I consider how to find information without the library worker and eventually come to the only decision, though i dislike doing it. "Hello? Can someone help me? I need some information!" I shout.
Several people shoot you dirty looks and hiss at you for quiet. No one comes from anywhere to help, but the quill that is writing in the ledger drops. From behind the podium, a pair of gloves and a cloak move and look like they're being put on by the invisible force. It then stands in front of you, spreading it's gloves in a questioning manner.
I sheepishly look at the gloved pair of hands apologetically and then ask. "The town/city of Maplewood, I want to know more about the giant tree there, is there anything here I could use?"

(Yeah, it's being really slow for me too. Guess a lot of traffic on the site today.)
You go back to the main aisle and find an open place to read it.
The story goes that one of the original Elven races, the Wood Elves, back in the ancient days, originally lived in small tribes, and each tribe lived near, on, or in the biggest thing that identified their tribe. For Wood Elves, that was the biggest, grandest tree they could find. But a specific tribe of Wood Elves wanted something generational, something that would last forever, marking a spot for everyone else to see. So, with their magic, they amplified the natural processes of the tree's growth in a special ritual made every year on the exact anniversary of the Wood Elves finding the tree. This ritual is still upheld each year, with the nomadic tribe of Wood Elves coming each year to grow the tree. A special festival is held for a week at the arrival of the Elder Elves, as they're called, with song, dance, art, games, an contests. This festival celebrates the growth of the natural world, as well as a bonding between creatures and nature.
I consider the magics involved in such a task attempting to work out their vastness in a curiosity coordinated to hopefully focus my own lore-ful understanding of druidism and how druid magic could link into this. (For clarity I'm intending a (lore check? dunno what they would be?) and not attempting to glean a new skill from gaining a better understanding)
(hmm good point I'm not entirely sure what I could learn from it, i was simply attempting to expand upon a small world piece you had implemented and I had latched onto XD, its of no issue) Slightly frustrated after about an hour's focusing and gaining no further understanding from my venture I return the book to its place and leave the library, returning in haste to see if the mission goers have returned
"Not particularly. I attempted to find something of value amongst these books for an entity that interested me, however not much was revealed in the most interesting areas I deigned to look for. How's your search going? Find anything of import or value?"

The cloak and gloves start to glide away from you, beckoning you to follow.
It leads you to a nature/history section and pulls down a large volume, handing it to you and waiting.
I take the book thankfully and attempt to find a place to read it. (sorry the page woudlnt let me write a response for ages)

(That would be either an arcana check, or a nature check, possibly history. I'ma little slow, so I have no clue what you're trying to find out.)

Roll perception for me, before you leave the library.

As you're leaving, you spot Nemm browsing through the aisles, looking intently for something.
I approach him. "Hello there Nemmonis, you look rather fierce, has this tome angered you?"
(May I ask which part in the session from yesterday this Nemm is at)
(He's at the part before he found the book, but after he talked to the gnome)
(ok) I jump a little "Oh, its you Nico, anything I can help with, I haven't quite found what I'm looking for just yet."
"Not particularly. I attempted to find something of value amongst these books for an entity that interested me, however not much was revealed in the most interesting areas I deigned to look for. How's your search going? Find anything of import or value?"
