[[We'll still get to snipe, and if the situation isn't favorable, I can back off without getting hit before the harpies get a chance to move since the leader is down]]
Unwilling to risk the Harpy song or his precious second level spell slots (to cast Spiritual Weapon as a bonus action, for example), Evan puts the silence spell so it extends to cover the party (in their sniping positions with cover), extending it as far as possible towards the nest. He moves up into the silence after the snipers take their first shots (not even trying to be stealthy in his plate armor) and stands behind the cover closest to the nest (but still in the range of the silence spell), taking the dodge action. His intent is to be a visible target in the silent area, but very hard to hit (with the cover and Dodge) going, while all the rest of the party follows the plan to shoot from cover within the range of the silence spell.
OOC: From the earlier post, it seems the Monk has decided to run up into the nest and attack the leader in melee. Did I miss something, or did Ilecerys just charge through this carefully laid ambush and Leroy Jenkins the Harpies?
OOC: I believe he is engaging in melee as part of the ambush, he successfully approached in stealth and I assume he timed his surprise round melee with the surprise round of spells and ranged attackers.

OOC: Let's hope his reactions are fast enough to get him back into the silence before the harpies start singing. I'm not sure exactly where everyone chose to set up to snipe, but the Silence spell is only 40 feet in diameter, so Ilecerys may have just left himself exposed.

OOC: In the chance that I don’t see posts tomorrow regarding when we start the encounter, if the group decides we want to use shatter as a signal and people in the party are not in the sphere area, Taraven will cast shatter and wants to get the leader and as many harpies in the sphere area. They will have to roll a constitution save (13), fails take full damage and the ones that make the save take half damage. I will roll for damage now (18
OOC: DM, if I would have cast Shatter before Ilecerys' stealthy attack would that negate his stealth/surprise attack?
If it does, Taraven would not have cast it. If it does not, she would have cast shatter and then see above
Also I'm not sure if I need to make a stealth roll as a ranged attacker. If I do here it is 3

Based on that Stealth Roll, Taraven would not act in the "surprise round," but will still have one full round prior to the enemy actions on the first "regular round."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
[DM, Nanoc will have pulled his sling and bullets out of his gear, most of which is still on the horse, and—unencumbered—climbed quickly up to join the party with the express aim of protecting Okkar, meaning that he will stay close to the dwarf at all times. He will not Stealth closer unless Okkar does.]
If Okkar takes part in the initial missile attacks, Nanoc will use his sling, but presumably will be firing at disadvantage because of the range. Note, once the leader has been knocked prone by the Monk's attack, all ranged attacks are a Disadvantage against it.]
Nanoc's sling attack for the first shot: 1st roll: 19 ; 2nd roll (if advantage still applies): 7 ; Damage: 7 ; Sneak Attack damage (if advantage still applies): 4
Edit: just realised the second roll is irrelevant because the Surprise Advantage is cancelled out by his range Disadvantage; still a hit hopefully.
I will wait and see what happens before doing anything else.

So since Taraven was not able to act in the surprise round, the whole casting shatter thing doesn't matter since it would not have happened. Taraven would not want to cast Shatter as her first "regular round" because she would not want to harm anybody in her party that went in for melee attacks during the surprise round that could be in the spell area. So, she will aim her hand toward the harpie leader and cast Magic Missile at 2nd level for 16 points of damage.
OOC: From what I watched in campaigns on Youtube, plans always seem to go awry hahahaha
The magic missile as well as the sling (and sneak attack) both strike and damage the harpy leader. Between these attacks the lead harpy has taken 34 damage, and is looking quite wounded from the ongoing surprising assault.
Now waiting on the remaining stealth rolls and actions/rolls.
[DM, Can Okkar and Nanoc have come to a compact before everything started that they were to keep an eye on each other and to intervene if the Luring Cry affects one, but not the other? Sort of a buddying up for the extra Saving throw.]

I am fine with they - they can have been spending time studying each other's mannerisms, I will allow you to grant a new save as a Bonus Action rather than an Action, given this. All of you, given this is your second Harpy encounter.
Nanoc doesn't like the range, or the fact he is firing into melee, but he will have another go with his sling. [OOC: DM, I am presuming now that it is at Disadvantage because of the slings low range, but as I consider this whole thing reckless ;-), perhaps you might allow him to use Reckless Attack with a ranged weapon to counter the Disadvantage.]
Roll to hit with sling: 7 ; Second roll (if shot is at Disadvantage due to range or the Harpy Leader being prone) 19 ; Damage if a hit results: 4

OOC: I believe we still have several PC turns to resolve before the enemy action. There is still the possibility the leader will go down before acting. The sudden assault is hitting her hard.
[DM, Did you allow the Reckless Attack I mentioned? It won't change anything with regard to the sling shot as the first roll was a miss, but it will mean attacks against Nanoc are at Advantage.]

11 - Okkar’s stealth
Okkar fires on the Harpy leader during the surprise round, before the Monk.
12
Okkar’s bolt rebounds off of the Harpy Leader’s armor.

[DM, Do you want Nanoc to also make a Stealth check? Also, his target for his sling stone would have been the leader.]

I assumed so, and yes, please roll to see if he acted in the surprise round, or the first round of combat.
Nanoc's Stealth check: 19

Okkar also fires his crossbow on the first non surprise round, with disadvantage:
16
He (silently) curses, as the bolt again bounces off of the half plate.
