- Evan and Ilecerys move in first - When they have cleared the door, Galtheon and Nanoc enter, and move to either side, allowing Taraven to enter - Then Okkar
"If the others wish to explore tonight, then I am happy to lead aside the cleric. My fists won't do much against these things but I can keep them busy if it comes to it."
Evan:
"Perhaps the magic club should be your weapon of choice," remarks Evan to Ilecerys.

I will describe the dungeon with an orientation of you entering from the south facing north. There are two pillars near the far corners on the south most wall, and four other pillars clustered towards the center of the chamber. There are exits to the east and west.
[Nanoc's reluctance is partly due to the fact that, despite the fact I am at home because of COVID-19, I am supposed to be working; it's early afternoon where I am.]
On seeing Okkar preparing for battle, Nanoc sighs and goes and readies himself for battle all the while muttering to himself. What he is muttering alternates between entreaties to Avastar for guidance and strength in the coming battle and swear words at the overeagerness of some people to face death and the undead at the worst of possible times.
[OOC: Nanoc will raise the idea with Okkar of perhaps gaining entrance into the mine through enlarging one of the loopholes, once he properly sees the layout of the entrance; he hasn't been much interested before this. He will also stick like glue to Okkar to not only protect him but also rely on the old dwarfs sensitivities to perhaps identify pitfalls and weaknesses in the mine's structure that might have occurred over time. Nanoc will also definitely not go into the chamber where Okkar said they were attacked by the Stoneghosts until it seems clear.]

Tyrus Mountson: Lvl 3 Dwarvish Bard; Waterdeep Campaign (Dragon Heist) Nanoc the Younger: Semi-retired Lvl 2 Rogue / Level 2 Barbarian Human; The Knuckle, Mror Holds, Ebberon. The Honourable Jaden Fellan: Level 3 Human Eldritch Knight; Band of Sunswall
AKA: Phillip Berrie: writer, editor and academic thrillseeker—a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
After entering and taking up the formation previously described your group notices movement, with your rearmost rank 5 feet past the entry way, the two northernmost pillars ripple and bulge and humanoid shapes emerge, causing the stone to look like it was twisting and warping outward until they separate. The floor to the east and west of you also bulges upward, and thrashing stone forms emerge there as well.
The four Stoneghosts do not have a surprise round, failing to beat any of your passive perception scores. We will do party vs enemy initiative now.
[DM, Nanoc is not part of the previously described formation. He is doing what I said in my last move. He thinks they are all daft and is staying with Okkar through a sense of obligation.
And now I definitely have to work I have video meetings to attend.]

I like it. Let's hope we win the initiative (or are perhaps already in this formation, given that we just walked in).

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(( Not sure who should roll; 3 of us have +3: 18 ))
Note: can still use disengage action and move back to door..it does give them 2 attacks though; of course T & O can attack, and it G moves first (after T & O) then E then I, mostly likely G takes the heat))
OOC: Bear in mind, they are Resistant to non magical weapons, not Immune.
Galtheon looks at the assembled group, "No sense waiting any longer...if anyone wants to cast some kind of magic, then now's the time."
(( If noone has other plans:
- Evan and Ilecerys move in first
- When they have cleared the door, Galtheon and Nanoc enter, and move to either side, allowing Taraven to enter
- Then Okkar
))

Galtheon add "...so long has he knows how to knock 'em on the backs with it."
The main entry chamber is forty feet (8 squares) horizontal and thirty feet (6 squares) vertical.
Evan:
Evan casts Light, then casts Bless on himself, Ilecerys, and Galtheon. "This magic lasts for but a minute. Let us explore quickly," says Evan.

I will roll for the enemies. Any one of you can roll, add the group’s highest bonus which is +3
Enemy initiative 15
I will count the first PC’s roll as the official one
