On earlier questions, it would be big enough of a room to bring the horses in, but the indoors seems less safe than the outdoors. Several minutes pass and the Stone Ghost that fled does not return.
(( I believe so; noone who wants to sleep would stay in the room..we know the ghosts move through the floors, and we know that there is at least one alive.

Can I assume 30gp per corpse (3 so far) ? ))
Yes, this 90 in total. Assuming when you reach a town you divide it you can feel free to go ahead and split it as good amongst yourselves.
Okkar immediately says, “I’ll take first watch. I just buried kinfolk. I couldn’t sleep yet if I wanted to. You all did good back there. Wish we had thought to hire muscle before we went in the first time. We never expected... this.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(( Re: Thieves cant: Perception for Galtheon: 10 ))
Galtheon catches some familiar rhythms in Nanoc's gestures, and he looks more closely.
His eyes narrow and he looks up at Nanoc, he holds the lads gaze for a moment, then he shrugs and turns back to cleaning -- and sharpening -- his weapons.
(( When there is a break, this is when he gives the ring to Ilecerys))
In addition to what he said before, he concludes with a chuckle as he works on his weapons, "I don't think they notice me enough to care."
[OOC: Re the splitting of the gold, does that mean the five party members can each record 18 gp now?]
Nanoc will offer to take first watch with Okkar. He would have also helped him bury his kinfolk, which might take a while.
[OOC: Perhaps the two things can be merged into one, seeing as neither of them will be able to properly rest while doing either. One digs while the other rests and watch, then they swap places. Nanoc will also use the Goggles of Night so as to not be in as much of a disadvantage as he usually is.]

The split of gold noted in the above post, and the ongoing loot post, is correct it looks like. Also, Okkar is grateful for the aid in the task. He speaks very little to Nanoc during the grisly business, save a terse “you grab the legs,” and so on. He creates crude grave markers out of stone once the task has been completed, and requests that Evan perform whatever sort of last rights he can.
”Nanoc... Thanks. Evan, before you sleep, I’d appreciate whatever sort of last rites, or, I dunno, say a word or something. They were all good, hard working men and women, all of Steelhand blood, and believers in The Host. Maybe we can set their souls at peace until they grow quiet in the land of the dead.”
Okkar rattles off the names of brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, five of whom died after discovering The Knuckle, whose bodies you have just seen lain into the earth, and four others who he says died in the search for the lost mine. “There aren’t many of us left, but those who do still carry Steelhand blood won’t need to be ashamed anymore. We don’t live as outcasts from Clan Droronath, ashamed of our heritage. This is for the living, and the dead. Rest well, my family, my friends, my blood.”
Galtheon nods, "Well said, Master Dwarf. May they find rest."
(( I am going to assume Galtheon has been doing maps for each of the three days, and make 3 rolls at advantage (help from Taraven) assuming occasional Guidance when something perplexing comes up. I hope that's OK?
Day 1: 26
Day 2: 10
Day 3: 14
))
When the final touches are done, he waves Taraven over and hands it to Okkar, "Best we could do. I'm a bit rusty. Hope it's useful."
(( Taraven may choose to add something less blunt! ))
(( Seeing the rolls, he's probably quite proud of it, and probably took a copy ))
Moved by Okkars words at the ceremony, he would then add, "I made a copy, just in case...if it's to be secret, you should have them both."
The map would (ideally) consist of the path they took, the possible other paths that might exist, notes on the animal life in the area (and possible perils), defensible positions, water sources, vegetation, as well as any observations Taraven had about the area.
Edit:
If the above objectives would be enhanced by survival rolls, then:
Day 1: 19 ; no advantage; no Guidance (he would be operating from memory anyway, since the request came day 2)
START+00:00-02:00 Nanoc and Okkar stand watch (not part of long rest), while everyone else starts long rest (Galtheon resting) START+02:00-04:00 Galtheon and Ilecerys watch (break their sleep); Nanoc and Ilecerys start long rest START+04:00-06:00 Evan and Taraven watch (break their sleep); Galtheon and Okkar resume rest (Galthon meditating) START+06:00-08:00 Nanoc and Okkar watch (break their sleep); Evan and Taraven resume rest (Galtheon meditating) START+08:00-10:00 Nanoc and Okkar sleep, everyone else cooks breakfast etc
ooc: FYI - subsequent reading I have done suggests the PHP revised errata now says Elvish trance allows full long rest in 4 hours (still 1/day though). Scheduling is too complex, I'll just stick with the simple model for now.
))
Nanoc may not want to sleep while Okkar sleeps (he seems quite protective of him); if that's the case I'll need to re-do, but I'm not sure it's possible.
Evan will aid in the Medicine checks and help with using the mining tool he bought in town with the gold in the StoneGhost bodies, but he will remain on edge for several minutes watching for that last one to show back up. Seeing how the older dwarves died, he comments, “When gold becomes more important than kinfolk, tragedy follows. I wonder if these dwarves fell prey to a curse of greed somehow...”
Evan will use the miner’s pickaxe to help break the ground for the graves, help with the burial, and speak the prayers for the dead, incorporating Okkar’s information on each of the victims as he does so. When the job is done, he says to Okkar, “We have breached the entrance to the mine, recovered the bodies of your kin for burial, and started the process of avenging them. Your dedication to your kin shows your honor, Master Ironeyes, but the fight over gold between brothers implied by the way the older miners died is troubling. We must beware not to succumb to the curse of this mine.”
OOC: Is there any way with the tools they have available to him that Evan can restore the runes at the entrance to the mine to their original meaning—that is, undo the perversion of the symbols now indicating greed and restore it to the standard holy symbols to the deities?

When Okkar views the map, his eyes widen. “Gods, this is more than a map to guide the clan to The Knuckle. This is a more detailed and accurate map of this region than the official ones on record in the documents shared amongst the clans in the central repository of the Mror holds! Damned impressive. Admittedly as Droronath doesn’t have resources, our maps have never been up to the standards of the wealthier clans, who get extravagant with aerial views and whatnot. This could stand alongside theirs, I would say.”
”If you’d like to offer this up for purchase, I would imagine the clan would buy it, as their current maps of this region are only a touch better than my scribbles. Hell, they might contract you do map the entire clan’s holding if you’re up for such an undertaking, when all this is over.”

Okkar stands solemnly through the ceremony, then thanks you for your words. “As for the curse, I agree, we mustn’t fall prey to whatever befell the miners of The Knuckle. Might be we can find the source of it and root it out. I know there’s a chance this place can’t be salvaged, that whatever happened here can’t be purified or undone, but I’m not ready to think about that until we’ve tried. I agree, all caution until we know what we are dealing with, what caused all of this.”
OOC: As to correcting what is essentially blasphemy to a member of the Sovereign Host pantheon, that can absolutely be done if anyone in the party is proficient in Calligraphy and has appropriate chiseling tools.

Nanoc will ignore Okkar's sideways glance for the moment. He wants to wait until morning and his gear is all outside with the horses.
"Let's call it quits for now," he suggests, "It's been a long day. I'm tired and I want to get some sleep."

During the previous conversation, Nanoc will have tried to use Thieves Cant when only Galtheon could see it, asking the simple question: 'Thief?'
While waiting for a possible reply, he asks the group in general, "What watches are we going to have tonight?"
