Verna looks over all of the talismans, interested in them. She saves most of her gold to go to the women selling potions, but does purchase 2 life orbs, a small summing powder, and a snare tag. (Totaling 105 cp, 5 sp) "Thank you very much," she says, handing over the money and taking her change and items. "I've never used anything like this before."
The old lady bows her head with a warm 'old person' smile, "Thank you deary. I hope you make a good use of your purchase."
"I hope so as well," Verna smiles, turning her attention down the road to the potion seller.
Ton looked over at the cute little elf and was enchanted by his voice. He always loved music and could tell by the purposeful melodic voice that the elf could sing. Ton drank the full flag of ale in what seemed like a sip and left it on the counter as he turned to regard Quinn as he continued speaking. The name Dao perked his ears. It was the name of the man he was sent here to meet.
"Good news and bad my friend. The good is I know of Dao and am here to see him myself. The bad is that I too do not know where he is."
The letter sent to him did mention that he would be working in a group..... A group. He saw a rag tag looking group at the church. He also saw that thing. His gut told him that the group he saw was more than likely the ones they were looking for. His Gut also told him he would have to work with "It"
Tons face scrunched as he thought about it.
" I have an idea" Ton said with a deep sigh that rumbled deep in his chest like distant rolling thunder. "Lets check the temple. I saw a group of fold there. My gut says they are there. Shall we?"
Ton stood up and made his way out, making sure to pay the crazy price for the tiny ale. Ton also made sure not to move too fast as not to out pace the elf in case the cute thing wanted to ramble some more.
Thoradin begins trudging his way back towards the tavern when he sees a half-orc and an elf leave and begin to head in the direction of the temple. Making a guess that these two might be the ones missing from the meeting, due to the Half-Orc's impressive size and accouterments, he calls out in his voice which sounds like rocks being smashed together, If'n your lookin' for Dao, your a might bit late. (Assuming that they respond in the affirmative he continues) The meeting be finished but I was instructed by Lord Fluffington that I inform any who were late of what we're to be about and give you your first half payment. Long story short, the job be to escort an item across the seas and deliver it safely to the Town of Birth on the lower continent. Me name's Thoradin of the Blackbone Clan, priest and blacksmith in the service of Grafftier, praise be upon him. Who might ye be?
Spoiler is for DM
I think I am going to move some ability scores around because I'm playing him too intelligent for an intelligence of 8, I need to at least get to a 10. Hopefully that is ok?
Quinn followed quickly behind the half-Orc, staring up at him in mild awe while humming a tune beneath his breath. Quinn wouldn't be short by the standards of a lot of races, including his own, but the half-Orc was a foot taller than himself, so his interest was more than a little piqued "I've been on this plane probably longer than you've been alive, but would you believe I have never seen a full Orc? Not even a half-Orc until now! You're really tall!" Quinn's tangent was cut short by the arrival of the dwarf, and he listened intently to what the man had to say. He looked like he meant business, and he did! "Oh a delivery is it? This will be grand! Well, not the assignment itself, that's actually rather boring. But I'm sure we'll get into some trouble here or there that will make it much more interesting! As for me..."
He struck a rather dramatic pose, hands one hand splayed above his heart and the other out to his side. His voice raised in an almost sing-song way "I am Quintillion Amakiir, though you may call me Quinn or Quinn the Crimson! I'm a bard, a singer, a lover~" His voice took on a purr-like quality on the last word. Though his demeanor changed quickly as his body did, his hands moving to quickly draw and brandish the rapier from his waist "And also a dastardly devil when it comes to a blade. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, my good lord Thoradin!"
"Go ahead." Kellin says, staying back from the sharkman as his companion moves up to talk to him.
Bo was torn. On the one hand, she had a strong suspicion that this sharkman might be I solution to the group's problem. On the otherhand, doing anything on her own since her Father's kidnapping has been twice as daunting as normal.
"You've made it this far haven't you?" Bo hears in her head, the voice of get father, "If you were able to travel to Saballi on your own talking to one man, strange though he may be, should be a walk in the park!"
Chiding herself for overthinking once again, and bolstered by the comforting voice in her head decides to walk over to the man and introduce herself "Hello there"
The Sharkman stops working on his weapon and carefully swings it behind him to address the Warforged in front of her "Why hello lass, what can I do for you this fine day?" he would say to her, with the thickest of thick 'English Accent'
"My name is Bo and my group and I are looking for passage to the Lower Continent by way of Xi but it seems that most of the people here are locals who won't be able to help us. Might you know of any ways?"
Ignus continues looking over the tags, orbs, and powders. "Could you tell me a bit more about what they do, exactly? I'm interested in purchasing quite a few of these for my personal studies."

Though many know me az "Saw-Tail Sipier"... if it's transportation ya looking for, I hear there's an ol' famer who's selling his carts and livestock at the north wall of the city... Probab;y sell it to you if you're quick enough."
Ton just listened as he was handed the gold which he stowed away. He patiently let the two exchange words and was put at ease when he heard the bard sing. The elfs voice was lovely. Ton loved music. Once there was an opening to talk he said "You guessed right, and thank you for catching us up." Ton looked down at the pair. "I am Ton, pleased to meet you" he said as he gave a nod of his head. "I'll follow your lead for now as I dont know as much. Just point and command and I'll do any deed within reason." He finished indicating that he was ready to go and do whatever was needed.
